Singaporeans can understand chinese even if people speak really quickly. It's due to the different accent. Like.. If Taiwanese speak really quickly, most Singaporeans can still understand. If Chinese from Shenzhen or wuhan speak in their accent, we can understand too. However, beijing and shenyang accent are not as easy to grasp.
Check her name in any websites, you can find her place of birth there. She is a pure Singaporean, not Taiwanese. Singapore is proud to have her, and I am proud to say we have lots of talents in Singapore. :D Thanks for supporting her, I'll let her know next time when I see her.
I'm a singaporean myself. I've got to admit. Singaporeans are more like Jack of all trades, master of none. We can speak english and mandarin fluently. But in our own accent and of course, with the help of singlish. Our english, compared to Americans or British, is obviously not as good. But compared to most non-english speaking countries, our english is relatively good. The same applies to our mandarin.
This is the worst show I have ever seen in my entire life. These are the absolute worst tv show hosts I have ever seen as well. This show is a ridiculous waste of time. Olivia's classy, though.
