Great video! I did a dual resonator delete (straight piped the first resonator and x-piped the second as replacements) and I really enjoy the sound.
Much deeper, with a tasteful volume boost. Burbles are much louder. Would recommend looking into that if you’re looking for something cost effective 👍🏼

I just ordered one. It has to be a 2024. I was told I should get it by the end of the year. I agree on the exhaust. This is my first BMW but I have seen some videos and there is a website called AWE-tuning. Maybe you have heard of them. They seem to have the best sounding one I’ve heard so far. I’ve also seen some people do a muffler delete. Lastly, I do plan on adding cold air intakes just so I can hear the turbos better. I do agree with the wheel gap as well. I’ll need to think about that one. The streets are good where I live so I might do that.

@@untitledlabel I ordered mine in that green color. I can’t think of the weird name that color has and with brown colored interior. I ordered the carbon fiber roof (not the sunroof) I ordered the Parking assist because my wife hats to parallel park , so this car can do it for you. I ordered the rims in black, ventilated seats and I think that was it. I still have time to add or delete something I don’t want or do want. @@untitledlabel oh ok. I’m going to do some research on it. Like I said, I have time to add anything I want. So we will see. I just heard the other day that BMW is going to start charging a subscription fee if you want to use the parking assist, which I think is absolutely ridiculous. If you have already paid for the option, you should not have to pay a monthly fee to use it so if I find out that is accurate, I will delete that option because I’m totally against paying a monthly subscription for something that I have already paid for to have installed in the car.

The comfort mode suspension is a significantly smoother ride. I drove from Germany to the UK and some of the less fortunate roads still felt well paved. Gas mileage was great as well on long trips, my daily drives are ruined by because I can’t help but to throw it in MDM for a little fun 😂. The sound is definitely tame but it sounded good enough in M1 or M2 to keep me from immediately spending 5K for a full exhaust for now.

Mode is rediculously overpriced for a simple midpipe. almost $3000 aud. At that point you might as well buy a full exhaust.

I agree with you totally that buying an exhaust isnt worth it. I think the factory exhaust sounds nice. Maybe it's not screaming loud, but not everyone wants to make a spectacle of themselves and give themselves a headache or get tickets. I have no issues with gas mileage either. It's got a small tank so naturally the range isnt the best, but I get 22mpg average which given my other vehicles is excellent. I only plan to increase the power a bit with mine. Are you having any issues keeping the white leather clean? I have the carbon buckets with the orange leather. I was told people had issues with the white leather staining, but you can't believe everything you hear.

    • @johnmission
      @johnmission  ปีที่แล้ว

I think the exhaust (If I do get one will be last as I still have a lot of research to do and it gives developers more time). My gas mileage is about 20 but I have been driving a little spirited. I've now started driving a more conservatively to save gas. I did not realize the tank was smaller. Good to know!
As far as power which means are you thinking about going with? White leather has not been an issue. I have a bottle of leather cleaner I use for any scuffs and it wipes clean every time so far. I figure upkeep is important.

So in the two weeks since this post, I bought an exhaust. I couldn't resist. It's sitting behind me waiting for a shop appointment. I took it out to look at it and it's VERY nicely made. All TIG welded and it v-band flanges together entirely which is nice. I'll have to figure out the exhaust valve control because this comes with its own system with keyfobs. I also got an intake from MST that will be here wednesday and some adjustable springs.

You'll actually see the capabilities of the G8x platform to the fullest. They'll have you drive M4C mostly, but its close enough to the M3C, which is what instructors drive. You'll be surprised at what these cars are capable off, they blow the doors off M5s in the turns.

@John Mission If you got the M drivers package, it will include a full track day at one of the M facilities, one in CA, another in SC. In 2022 I think they even had M experience which is 3 hours at the M school for any first time BMW purchase in 2022. If you had the M full day event, you could even book these two together. It's a great opportunity for you as well as content creator, just gotta have a head cam or window attachments so your hands are free.
I beleive the M full day event is good for 3 years to book. I reccomend it, you'll be surprised how hard they will have you run the cars they have, which are fully stock except for different tires. We drove the M4C primarily, but we I also got behind the wheel of M2C(S55), the new M240i x drive with the B58, the Z4, the X6MC and the M5C but only just drift around the skidpad, so you never really open up the M5. There is a 2 day course where you get to take M3/M4 and M5 around the track.
That was last year, I beat this year they'll have some electrics there to try, maybe even the new M2 will replace the older ones.

@@johnmission Yes, the G80C has power, but it gets pretty boring really quickly going from zero to jail time, then braking. A Tesla can do a that, and better. Anyway, these are just my opinions . . . BMW has simply crossed a line in design architecture and size when it comes to my interest in ///M cars.

@@johnmission I think that is a big part of the problem . . . G80C is too refined for an ///M car. Maybe this is what the masses are after, but just not this enthusiast. The G87 is just a VERY SLIGHTLY smaller G82 and - to my eyes - another complete eye sore. I do not mean to come across as a 'negative Nancy,' rather, simply relating that BMW ///M cars have lost their appeal on ME.

    tune your car

get a quality racing downpipe & charge pipe

    leave the exhaust alone

@@johnmission best thing i did with my bmw was get a bootmod3 stage 2 tune package ($595) you get the maps which you can see from your phone they have an app to configure everything, custom burble settings. all you need is a quality racing downpipe & charge pipe to handle the pressure & heat of the tune & not plastic crap.
you don’t need to mess with the exhaust , all of that is around $1000-$1400 for parts on average
and your car will be fast af & sound nice with stock exhaust
