Have you heard Electric callboy «We got the moves» (even the same hairstyle). Käärjä has stolen a bit too much, eh? th-cam.com/video/D1NdGBldg3w/w-d-xo.html
I was there watching it on live. The whole crowd just exploded when Käärijä came🔥🔥 Everyone was singing CHA CHA CHA. I was 100% sure he would win. Loved every second of it!!😍😍😍
I absolutely love this song, even though I can't understand the lyrics. It really was love on first sight. He really owns the stage and you can't look away from him. This will definitely go through to the final and totally has the chance to take the win. No one will be able to escape this cha cha cha.
I recomend watching the original video with subtitles, but it basically is about shy person with a hard shell but a internal party animal after exchausting work week going to a club, get few Pina Coladas to break the shell and start dancing and feel liberated, brave and not afraid of the world. The translated lyrics can't quite deliver all the nyanes of the original lyrics, but the main message is clear. Bravo. I haven't hear of Käärijä before, but now listening to his older production, he is just pure genious (all in Finnish though)
As a Finn I'm so proud of Käärijä! He's amazing and the funniest personality, especially in Finnish. The stage performance was superb. I actually loved the colorful visuals and the dancers. When he was riding on the dancers me and my boyfriend laughed aloud. He's not a ESC fan and he said he can see Cha cha cha doing well in Eurovision.
I've been obsessed by this for a month and will be for many months to come. Käärijä has it all, the song is an absolute banger, his stage presence and performance are out of this world and personality wise he's just an adorable goofball. I'm so proud he represents Finland.
Yes, he is absolutely the right winner ! it's like 2 years ago with Blind Channel when one act just stood out above the others ! And he won with a similar landslide !
This song has done its job already, I have watched like a hundred reaction videos and each and every one (almost) have enjoyed it and it has people first shocked and then brought the smile to every one. It is crazy and it is PARTY, the message is super positive and the song is just pure energy. Awesome!
This. This is why I love Eurovision. This song starts off solidly in the Finnish rock/metal we'd expect and about halfway through turns into a J-Pop fever dream with my man riding a human centipede of cha-cha dancers throwing glitter around. Finland sliding straight into my top 3. 🇫🇮💃🏻🎉
We loved UMK last night. A high standard of songs and extremely well produced. Lewis stayed up last night until the end of the show and was gripped throughout. Also want to say, all of the artists performed well. It was a real spectacle. We are so happy with the result, Käärijä has been our favourite from the outset, and he is going to be fantastic in Liverpool. Desperate to get tickets to sing "Cha cha cha cha cha cha cha" live to this! 🙏🇫🇮
Amazing on all counts! I see the final bout on May 13th between Käärijä and Loreen with Käärijä giving the knock out punch. The journey from malevolence to outright fun is nothing like we have experienced before, and I am sure ballroom dancers have never had so much fun in their lives! It's stunning and will get massive points from every country! (I have never seen Human Centipede, but the thought came to mind when I saw it!). I love the fact that the ballroom dancers have to move the furniture too!
You were top on, with Portion Boys - I actually thought theren were the best live, so very happy with their 2nd place in UMK, they wre so great!! Yeah, I know, I voted for Käärijä too, but at the end, I loved both Käärijä & Portion Boys!!
Personally Kuumaa was still my favourite, but there are already few bands with bit similar set up in the competition. Käärijä is still the one we should have voted to the competition and it won. I was very very very surprised by Portion boys getting in second place. I rooted for Benjamin but saddly the vocals didn't really work. Robin's show was really good and even when I had not given him many points and definately didn't want him to win, have to say the man knows what he is doing.
INSANE! At beginning I was like "hmmm, maybe something more impactful?" and then "ok, nevermind". I hoped that he was going to represent Finland this year, but that was pretty obvious. A perfect mix of rap, metal and dance that makes something very iconic! Those vibes reminds me a lot "Party Rock Anthem" by LMFAO and that would be legendary. This is my winner so far for now, but there are still 2 countries that can take the 1st place, but I think "Cha Cha Cha" will stay there since this style is more into my tastes. So let's see... This song is pretty good. It is super catchy, I love the Finnish lyrics, the video really fits the song and is really well-produced, the song is also very well-produced, I like its instrumentation, it has a great progression, I do like it’s dark vibes, I love the story the lyrics tell, I like its chaoticness, the bridge is super interesting compared to the rest of the song and overall it is a pretty good song. The staging was amazing, it perfectly fit the song and was just everything I expected and it was amazing. He served everything needed to stage the song perfectly and it was just that; everything from the set, the lighting, the charisma, the vocals, the costume, the chaos going on around him and everything else was done in the way I wanted and was perfect. It does stand out compared to the rest of the running. It is something I would listen to for sure. A pretty amazing song and epic performance overall. It is a 9.5/10 for me, a massive grower from the first listen.
Cha cha cha dancers were awesome addition on stage. He needs dancers or he'll look really lonely on big stage in ESC. All the sings were great. Keira and Benjamin struggled a bit but other five were absolutely gems. Robin doesn't deserve the hate he has gotten. He is such a solid performer, a true pro. Pb and Käärijä was fun as expected. Kuumaa actually managed to pull good stage fitting them and Lxandra is just absolutely beautiful. With both song and dance. Her music just really doesn't click with Finns. ..too bad Keira didn't win so won't hear Harry Potter again here.
Käärijä is little like Rammstein, you dont really understand the lyrics. But its just so catchy song and finally someone is mixing genres like they should be mixed. Many band and artist´s have forgotten that music is basicly a universal language. It´s really nice that Käärijä won. Im happy and proud of Jere.
If people wants something really different to for example all the groups/bands we got so far, or just something that stands out a lot in general, then I can see this getting a very high placement over all, but I just like/love most of the other chosen entries more.
This has definately a lot of energy and it has a melody and text line you can sing and bounce to, but it do sound very similar to Electric callboy «We got the moves» (even the same hairstyle). th-cam.com/video/D1NdGBldg3w/w-d-xo.html The song in itself is a bit repetetive and I wonder how it will sound live without all the prerecorded lead vocals. It will be an iconic Eurovision performance people will remember like Verka Serducha. Maybe it will be a fight between Finland, Sweden and Norway? I feel Sweden is hyped because of the artistic staging and because of Loreen. The song isnt anything special, jsut an average MF-song. Norway went viral even before the selection, but since it was so long ago people may have forgotten it. All 3 countries are in the same semi final (semi 1)
I would rather he had boxers or wrestlers then the pink dancers. HOWEVER, regardless of what happens, I think this is it! This is the result that people were waiting for! I think this is the highlight of the season!
I was nervous about the live performance because he's new to bigger stages but this was great! His vocals sound great and the performance is hilarious and absolute mayhem in the best possible way 😂 I can't remember a thing about Keira's performance becouse I was still recovering from Käärijä's 😅 The worst performance placement in the Eurovision final will be the 1-2 acts following Käärijä and I already feel bad for them 😅 A song and performance like this just should not work but somehow it does and result is absolutely brilliant, I love my country for sending entrys like this. Almost makes up for Germany not sending Electric Callboy last year.
First I was not that excited about the dancers. I hope they at least had some weird costumes like Käärijä. And the pallets look cheap. But Käärijä is still 💎 and they still have time to polish this performance.
