Question please. There is a story that when James II fled London into exile in 1688 he dropped the Great Seal into the Thames. Is this and, if so, was the Seal ever found? Thank you

Simone I was born in Dearborn Michigan just two miles from greenfield village. The statues are awesome and they even work to this day. Amazing to now know the history behind them. Hey, I grew up near Lansing, but every elementary school kid in our town got to take a field trip to Greenfield Village and the Henry Ford Museum! I don't remember the statues, but it's good to hear they're still up and running. What a cool coincidence!
I lived in Adrian and then Ann Arbor Michigan and i can remember all those ford museum school trips. I don’t remember the statues, sadly.
Next time I go visit Dearborn I’ll look for them.

I would call it a guide lamp to see the sailors safely home. I think using the lost broken discarded and forgotten pieces found in and around the Themes in this way is wonderful. My son is a Merchant Marine in the U.S. he is on ship now and this upcycle has made my day. Thank you

Gog and Magog! It's funny you should ask! Not only have I seen them, at the Greenfield Village/Henry Ford Museum grounds in Dearborn, Michigan, but I am a direct descendant of the Gansen Family, who donated a part of their family farm, called Greenfield, (if not all of it), to their neighbor and friend, Henry Ford. Many family heirlooms were also given to the museum.

I grew up in Michigan. I remember as a child going to the Henry Ford Museum and seeing these statue,. waiting for the hour to show the ringing of the bells.

Hey Simon I live just a few miles from Greenfield Village where the Bennett building now stands. I worked for a pest control company and the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village was one of my accounts. Ten years or so ago I was up in a bucket truck trying to get rid of some wasps nest behind those figures. It was a lot of fun, didn't get stung or fall out of the bucket.

That was a great upcycle Simon, I think that was one of my favorite vids, being a leather worker, that piece of leather was a gem. I am always scouring around for old leather to use in my bags. I lived half of my life in California and love grew up loving anything western so the cowboy gun and history of the statue was fun to see and if that wasn't enough you even made reference to one of my favorite songs," Proud Mary" by the best group ever! CCR, even if you did call it rolling by the river by Tina Turner, her version wasn't a patch on The original, HA HA! Sorry about the self indulgence, but I couldn't help myself! 😉🤠

they lift the lid on the water thing and look down the lenses to read the number on meter under ground they use a similar method today we have one they have a thing they put in the ground and look down to read the number , nice find.

Great finds, the milk bottle reminded me of my milk monitor days at primary school when we were given a quart pint of milk each day and I was given the prestigious role of collecting the crates to take from class to class.

The little toy truck is a Dinky Bedford TK Tipper, model 435. It was made from 1964 to 1966 and it is in the rare colour of red, black and white.

hey Si if you can find "Evaporust" in the UK this enviromentally friendly liquid will loosen up those pliers and any rust encrusted items you find and it is reusable if filtered thru a paint filter back into the bottle .thanks for another interesting video looking forward to the next Karl from eastern Canada
Evaporator is a miracle in a bottle!
I am sure those are not pliers but snips. I used them to cut contours in tiles round water pipes and the like. Always good to see tools brought buck to usefulness again.
