I have been to the PI since the first time in 1983 courtesy of the US Navy. All total, 6 times. Now it has been a while and a lot has changed. I have several friends who live there and a couple are also on TH-cam. They are all over, CDO, Makati, Baguio, Subic City, Dumaguete and Davao. As soon as I get things set up and sold, I am over there.
We are right behind you! Will be there next month for the whole month then permanently by early next year if all goes well with our plan. So exciting!! 🤗🌻🌈❤️
Its more fun in the Philippines. America is more scarier. You will be safe here, I'm telling you. We are Praying for this nation 🇵🇭 to be protected. And Filipino people are kind and loving. That is why God loves the Filipinos. ❤❤❤
Hi Brian, i think you have a great talent for story telling. I enjoyed your witty lines.I like the line "Happiness is a State of Mind and not a Zip code."'
I haven't been there in BGC yet Brian, but have been watching most vids about BGC, and yes you're right!...It definitely is a BGC, which for me is, "BEAUTIFUL GREAT CITY!".…🇵🇭
Love this video he is not wrong. I at 39 years old got my SIRV a type of visa. I was there 3 months ago did what I needed to do to secure my residency with my visa . And for 22 million Filipino pesos thats $300,000usd I bought a fully furnished condo in BGC, can't wait to be there fulltime .
I think your talent, besides your cool relaxing voice that can be on podcast, is that your very eloquent, very articulate with your words - I bet you've got straight As for your essays back when you're studying.
Really awesome video! Hands down, the best that I've seen on PI! I grew up on a Navy Base and served with Filipinos, years later, and fell in love with them. I've never dated a Filipina, but have had friends who have and then moved to PI. I never visited during my times in the Military, but I did hear tons of stories. I'm old and broken, now, so I'm enjoying PI vicariously (thanks)! You have a real gift for this… keep up the good work!
Just stumbled upon your channel. And it’s a throb of witty banters. Keep it up and hope that one day just like foreign vloggers that set roots in Ph will contribute to the development of the community.
Another great video. Yes, I caught the San Juan Capistrano bit. In fact I've been there. Question - What mode of transportation are you using to get from the airport to BGC these days? Grab? I'll be passing through in a few weeks, staying for several weeks. Thanks.
Filipino here currently living in Texas. I can relate to your story. I feel more comfortable, safer & enjoys life without breaking the bank in the Philippines. #Missing home
Hey man, this is a really great video. I've been to Makati a few times now and all different spots around the Philippines in Thailand. I'm gonna try to open up a tattoo shop in Makati with a local . I've been coming there now for three years. This will be my fourth year. I'd love to catch up with you. Maybe have a drink or a meal somewhere I've not spent much time in the BGC but I do also have a great friend that lives there as well, an expat. But great video man thanks a lot.
Hey Brian, hope to meet you one day in BGC with my Fam, I just started watching your videos and I'm enjoying it :). Hope you can visit our hometown in province in Samar (Eastern Samar) to be exact, I will have you meet my mom who currently lives there. Our province has a lot to offer and you may enjoy it too! God Bless brother and we appreciate your videos!
I was born in Region 8. I love my country. But like some others living abroad. It was Gods will why we are here 🙂 How I wish and pray, I visit again my home country. Thanks for sharing po. God bless you more.
I'm from Dumaguete, been living here in Colorado Springs USA for almost 10 years now, I really miss home (PH) can't wait to go back home for good. It's hard to go back home right now because i have kids and the airplanes tickets are so expensive, i feel jealous watching videos with living in less stress. Life here is very stressful, you have no family to help you especially if you have kids at the same time you got to work because we have lot of bills to pay.
I'm saving my money trying I have $400,000 in stocks... $650,000 if I sell my house... 33 now... working 5 more years I think then moving to the Philippines wish I had saved more I'd be there now.
Bro Share your Blessings, today I'm istock in Small Room here in Saipan Territory, I Already Layout In My job the Reason why because My Co trailer Driver Direct in the Company , Me Agency I stop My Work istar August last week And Until Now , it's Good For to Share your Money in Small Amout.
Why Philippines? There is Thailand. They say infrastructure in PH is terrible compared to Thailand. It is better there I believe. But our nature is hands down compared to Thailand though.
You can invest your money in Philippine stock market too here in Philippines Be a smart person not spending money on bitches and ended up poor in other country.
I just moved to Cagayan De Oro 4 months ago. I got a lot of friends and the fishing is good. Life is a lot cheaper than California and a lot more chill here.
You say it all is just that correct looking so beautiful place you can work in radio station how cool your voice. I bet you so much relaxing confer to America it’s new in beautiful place. 👌
Like the Video just Came back from Oregon me and my Husband Visited The CITY of Portland, it’s a Beautiful City Our Hotel just in Downtown so we Can walk to the Water Front, Try to Move there From California But the Housing Apartments and Condo just Almost The Same as Cali , Only the Food little bit Cheaper and a lot of Restaurants to Choose too … love it 💕
Living in the province is much cheaper you can rent an apartment at $10 per month and food in the market is cheaper also house helper is only $10 here in E. Samar it is safe here.
wanderlust - by the time you're out of money and getting old, you realize you NEED to settle. Maybe you have found your purpose in life but just not embracing it. Wherever you go, put your heart in it. Don't let others tell you what you need to know, what to do. Discover life by yourself Be careful. Out there, people can be both good and bad.
1 bedroom for 3k USD ind the US, I could live like a king with that price 🤣. Mine is 80 USD (food, water and electricity not included) here in Quezon City, around me are 4-5 Malls one ride away. Even BGC 1 ride a long way with Carousel Bus🤣
so true. bgc is just a tip of the iceberg. travel n explore around the country, u will surely enjoy more. speaking of food, try the best sisig in pampanga. visit lunch on me.
If you know the game fallout 4 it's just like that, there's the commonwealth and diamond city (BGC and rich cities in Metro manila) also the glowing sea (some parts in mindanao 💀)
Just to inform you that it's been abnormally hot this year. Remember, we had a very bad heatwave last summer (though it was a lot worse in Thailand where 60+ people died because of it), and it seems there are still residuals of this heatwave til now. Ber months are not usually this hot anymore. Climate Change/Global Warming is real. Also, jeepneys may not make sense to you, but they are important to the many Filipinos who can't afford to take taxis or Grab.
Damn. I just moved into a crappy apartment too and I just want to leave it all behind and go there. Still do too. I'm approved for my housing loan too I should ask if I can carry that over there. What do you think?
I am 61 year old and moving permanently to the Philippines in around a month time. Have you actually tried the balut? I have tried a few various food over the years, including frogs legs, but there is just something about seeing the balut that puts me off trying it.
You must have money to spend in the Philippines as a tourist and living there for good you must have monthly income or pension to sustain your needs nd expenses.👍it’s cheaper to live in the Philippines than any other countries🙈🤷🏻♂️
Good luck and no offense meant, but… you haven’t really quite moved to the Philippines yet . BGC is a bubble . Hope you will not fall into the same trap as all these cropdusting foreign vloggers. please go out and explore the country, the (organic) cities, and most of all , meet the Filipinos there!
This is an extremely short sighted commentary. Take a short walk across the C5 highway from BGC and you will see how the vast majority of Middle class Filipinos live. This is in stark contrast to how BGC looks. Then there are those lower middle and lower class people who are much worse off. The fact is that most Filipinos cannot afford to eat or drink at places like BGC. Fact, philippines rates as the 73rd poorest country out of 190. USA rates 183. Hardly comparable.
@@Leon-mk1wn bah I'm not scared of normal Philippines. A few days in Pasay or QC is my tolerance of Maynila. My last rental in Zambales was 4k month for 10 years, 2 bedroom house walk to town 5 minute scooter to surf or diving. Beats me why anyone goes around the world to pay $2k a week rent in a $100 a month average city. Flexing on the poor.
Don’t be fooled…
There’s more to Philippines than meets the eye 👀
