Great idea!! Blue Willow lends itself to so many color combinations. I remember being in the Baldwin Brass showroom at Dallas Market in the 90's. Great product.
I too was thrilled to see Classic Blue as the 2020 Pantone Color of the year. I am enjoying it immensely. Thank you for presenting so many options to consider when setting a table scape using blue. I loved each one.

Mariposa made tortoise shell glasses in their Vidrio collection. Sadly, they only made these a few years. Hope you find some to add to your stemware collection. Keep me posted!

Chargers also help protect tables from heat transfer that can damage the finish on the table. They are like coasters and place mats, an extra layer of protection.
Setting my table, I am under the impression you choose tablecloth or charger, but not both. It's what I learned years ago in HomeEc. (Showing my age! LOL) Have things changed?
As long as it pleases, I say anything goes with tabletop. Chargers help catch any spills that would otherwise stain the tablecloth. It’s a plus for sure.

I lamented (to some extent) when young people began refusing to accept inherited china and crystal because it signified the loss of something wonderful in all our lives. Noticing that you are quite partial to the V Bogh chargers. and they are very beautiful. Yet, even on sale they run $40 apiece which is pricey. What do you suggest for a beginner on chargers? would you recommend that I invest in one basic V Bogh to go with everything or is there another company less pricey but just as elegant that you would recommend? The Verona glass chargers from Villeroy & Boch are indeed expensive. I peek into Macy’s online to watch the sale prices. Got them for $24 each, with the gold and silver sparkle a bit higher. They are this low several times a year. Basic plastic chargers are affordable at Bed, Bath & Beyond and Hobby Lobby. So many options!

I love to use Baldwin Brass candlesticks and burgundy with my antique Blue Willow - so pretty! Hmm...so is pale yellow...and sage green...
