That cliff is the same one that was next to tohru's tent in ep 1 season 1, shigure mentioned that it was dangerous area and u can even see the tent there
Memory: They're not gonna get me with this! also Memory: *looks THIS close to crying* Me: shh don't fight it 😭 they did this episode so well, seeing it animated after reading the manga so long ago just brings up another level of emotions 🥲 ❤️
So, there is also another parallel. Akito and Tohru scene is very similar to the scene in the first serie with Tohru and Kyo in his true form. She was even hurt on her arm there too. And she came through both of them, the two "monsters" rescued by someone who accepted them. And it was not only the first time Akito smiled but also the first time she said sorry to someone. Also, she blantantly told Kureno she was fine because she knew if she said she was not fine Kureno would have stayed. This is important too because she did her first selfless act. It's going to be a very long road but it's a start. The only complain I have is that the kiss was too short! Like, one second, it ended right away!!! But you are right, these are 3 chapters of the manga included and most of all I think one volume ended with the kiss so we had to wait more time to know if Tohru was alright or not. It was painful 🤣. But yeah, great serie, great character development. Now let's hope for Kyo to face his demons, and we still have the curse active!
When Akito says, "I'm scared. I can't live surrounded by strangers, without any guarantee I'll be loved." she says it _right at Tohru's tent_ ..... where a scared Tohru started living with strangers, without any guarantee she'd be loved. [Except by Hana-chan and Uo-chan, of course! :]
_GASP_ When you said you hoped she didn't have amnesia and that they wouldn't have to "start over" I immediately thought of what was it? episode 2? when Tohru says _If I have my memory erased, please become my friend again, okay?_ and in another universe, that is exactly what happened after the cliff. Hahah, ouch.
Every episode is surely interesting but this is the best episode for me so far. I love Akito's smile which is so sincere and stress-free. She's just found the right way to go home. Tohruuu 😭 you did it so well!
Who would’ve thought the tent would foreshadow to this episode! Man I was crying like a baby & so glad to see the hitting manga parts being animated beautifully like this! Like that you caught Kyo”s character change like his attitude to worrying about Tohru than mad at Yuki for finding Tohru first. New seasons coming to light for the characters
Ahh I loved this episode, I’ve already watched it multiple times. Tohru talking about all the little things she loves about Kyo had me crying so much. ❤️😭
To your comment about the pacing. If this episode was going at the speed of season 1 and 2, we would have ended the episode at the kiss. But because we’re going at a faster pace this season and making some cuts, we also got the scenes at the hospital and the Hatori/Shigure. Love your reactions as always! Only 4 episodes left till the end 😭
momijis great man!!! he is so down to earth and always does his best to look at things optimistically even when he has one of the saddest stories!!! so much respect and love for him!!! kyoru lovee!! hehe
I’m going to miss your Fruits Basket reactions so very much!! I really, really appreciate it!! I used to watch anime weekly with my friends, but after the pandemic, I began leaning on anime reactions for the comfort. I am a manga reader and I think the pacing was fine! I kind of see Season 3 of Fruits Basket is like a fun synopsis of the manga, so if you’d like to get more side stories and explanations, please check out the manga when you’re done! Keep it up!
Loved your reaction. Yes! That's such an interesting parallel you draw, with Yuki finding Tohru first in two situations. Shigure hanging Chekhov's gun in ghe living room back in the FIRST episode of season 1, talking about the cliff being dangerous and landslides happening + the tent. Nah they can't stretch anything, not in 13 episodes... (They've cut so much in the third season I really feel like recommending the manga, especially the latter half.)
I'd put clannad and maid-sama above fruits basket anime wise and my love story manga wise. Don't get me wrong fruits basket is up there it's just not the "greatest"
@@Pinky_Piie Clannad is mainly for the Tragedy genre that makes you really sad or gets you feels. But Romance wise a lot of the scene felt cringe. And Maid Sama for me, it was like a "a Good Show to watch to remove boredom" Not a Must Watch.
This is one of the best episodes so far for me I absolutely loved it also finally Kyoru kiss that we wanted to see they did it absolute justice, Akito is such a well written character I can't forgive her but respect her for finally realizing and trying to become a better person
It’s been a stressful few weeks 😅 at least I feel we can breathe a bit after this episode. So excited to see how the rest of the story ends. Especially between Kyo and Tohru and Kyo and Yuki’s relationship
Haha I loved your reaction to the stabbing and the cliff. XD When I first saw it, I thought they would use it too. Tbh I thought Akito might push her off. But it turned out better than expected. Kureno and Tohru being “idiots” saved Akito imo, because she ended up trusting their care and love without the “bond”. Damn, I thought I would hate Akito forever but even though I don’t fully forgive her, I am open to her changing and feeling bad. She should get a chance, depending on her behaviour. I love Momiji again, because of his strength and wise words! I am pretty sure there will also be a Yuki and Kyo moment at least before the end, now that the “hate” facade is over. Super excited for more but man, I will really miss this series 😭
I agree with you though. Akito’s thing got resolved too fast? It does seem rushed. I am glad for the progress, but I do wish it went a little differently. But overall, I honestly really enjoyed your reaction for today’s episode. It really shows how invested you are into it. It’s been a long journey, and as an anime-only, it’s been fun to experience it with your reactions ☺️ Really gonna miss this
@@tsubasarclover1592 Thank you so much!!! Certainly has been a long journey & I know especially you & a lot of other people I recognize have been sticking around in the comments every single episode since the very beginning of the series which is insane to me 😭 glad I've been able to experience this as an anime only cause of how great this adaptation is
all the character are godly but with this episode akito transcend for me i know she was at fault but no one was able to relate to her like our goddess tohru
I think among everything, one of the things people have yet to point out is that both in season 2 and in the manga, they point out that of all the zodiacs... Akito hated Momiji the most (though I'm not sure how that hatred compares to her hatred for Rin). It is pointed out that because Akito hated Momiji so much, she usually never even bothered with him at all.
Honestly I wish they had done two cours, because I’m upset with the amount they’ve cut and would have preferred 2 chapters per episode instead of 2 chapters + multiple little bits from other chapters etc. the pacing is kinda fast, especially compared to the last 2 seasons.
"why is every cliff always-... being like this?!" LOL that commentary made my day.
fruits basket breaks my heart and pieces them back everytime😭

About it being at the same place of the tent; it was a foreshadowing that that area had instable soil and it was dangerous, especially after rainfall.

That akito and Tohru panel has been my fav since reading it as a teen. I'm so happy to have it done so beautifully that it's now my background haha
Akito’s smile at the end was so similar to how Ren smiled at Akira!
Akito was blushing, ren wasnt.

In another universe where I wasn't such a lazy sod, I'd write that fanfic *and everyone would hurt.* :>
My favorite series of all time. It's a dream come true to see that animated. I waited for so long!
And it is such a good adaptation, i dont know how could anyone adapt it even better

11:11 ! remeber the first episode for season... Soooo... Is the same place from the ep 1 in the thoru's house is destroyed, the mountains are instable
Can we all say this Anime and Manga is the Greatest Romance Story in all of Anime/Manga History?

Actually she hates ayame the most
Plot Twist: Tohru lost her memorys
I'm dying to know why Kyo's not in the hospital
I think the last part is probably just a way of storytelling.
Don't worry, them hiding Tohru's face doesn't mean or hide anything of significance. She's fine
Physically, anyway.
DONT TELL ME SHE LOST HER MEMORIES
loved your reaction as usual! wanna suggest you see Nana next, if you haven't already
😭
It was pretty much the same pace us the manga

This was faithful to the manga. Akito gets off very easy manga wise too. I still loved this episode. Sobbed the whole time 😅💕😭
she doesnt gets easy at all, i think you didnt read manga properly.
