Well Mr Bjork a very interesting project, I’m guessing you had this piece of live edge and came up with this project. Nicely conceived and beautifully executed. That’s an impressive collection of planes you have. I am now a fan.
Thank you! Yep that is true, as a fan of recycling and reuse I often design my builds based on what pieces I can find. I really enjoy letting the wood have a say in what it's used for. Glad to hear you liked the results!
This is the best live edge project I've seen! Excellent demonstration of joinery....and I don't envy you dealing with hard wood using hand tools. Awesome channel and will share this with my friends.
Hi Gillis, Another awesome project. I was slightly surprised at which side became the face or the part you used to rest the planes. Seems to be that the weight would going the wrong way. But I guess the angle takes care of that.
Thanks for your continued support, luvdub! I'm not completely sure what you mean to be honest, if you want to elaborate I'd love to understand your thoughts. But essentially yes, the angle is why this type of rack works :)
Hey Gillis. Thanks for taking the time to address my comment. I am enjoying the dialog as I am still learning myself. My comment really just shows my own error, so don't worry too much about understanding it. Because of the angles, I had confused the front face of the vertical side boards (live edge) versus the back which ended up parallel to the wall when shown upright (starting around 16:05). If I had watched the entire video before commenting it would have made total sense to. Again great project. Your student, Claude.
Thank You Gillis
Yes I know a 4 year old video....I still had to comment and like, awesome once again!
Nice design. Great hand tool technique!

Awesome!👌👍
Very nice work. Especially those dovetails. Like the 45 at the corners. Just one question, love the clamp, I assume hand made, how? Thanks.
Lovely work. Keep it up
Thanks!
