Man I'm running a nautical D&D game and JUST gave the party the last piece to a map that they've been tracking down lost parts to... Doing a stone tablet like this with the map carved into it would have been way cooler than the parchment I did!
Are you sure that that was 'plaster of Paris'? It did not look like it. Plaster of Paris is a very white powder which when mixed with water becomes a very fast-setting clay-like mixture. A gypsum plaster. What you used looked yellowish, and a liquid with a lot of surface tension.
Hi, it’s mixture of plaster of Paris, white PVA glue and water. Here I made it very thin also, so it’s easier to work with. Yellow color is caused by a bit of yelow acrylic color. I use it to better see the mixture on surface.
