I had the pleasure of working with Jim Horn for three years with WAYLON 99-02 and I have to say that no one comes close to his honest approach to music. WAYLON closed every show with "Can't You See" by The Marshall Tucker Band and Jim nailed the flute solo at the end of the song every show, NO encore and the fans left happy!
This past year Jim was one of the first musicians to volunteer to play for a benefit for my wife who suffered a massive stroke at 47 years old. LOVE YA JIM!

Jim had a log vacation home up in Washington, near Mt. Baker. He, Larry Knechtel, Lonnie Knechtel (Larry's son), and David Gates used to come in and jam with our band (Special Delivery), at The Frosty Inn, at Maple Falls. Nice guys, each of them. I recall, Jim's house had gold albums all over the walls.

The MC should've mentioned Jim Horn's superb backing of Duane Eddy in the early 60's! One of the finest players ever on sax (and no slouch with the flute)!
