So many different cultures from Indonesia for these songs and outfits! Thank you for sharing all this, and for watching my reaction! Really appreciate it!
Many people commented that even some Indonesians don't understand. Fun fact: The majority of Indonesians use bahasa Indonesia (Indonesia language) as a second language. Because we have our own language in each region. So basically in 1928 it was agreed that Indonesian would be the language of unity, with its roots in Malay.
@@MoralTruth This is also because hundreds of ethnic groups had lived in Indonesian soil long before the unification in 1945. Also, while a lot of colonized nations tend to lose their own native cultures from things like the colonial powers forcing the natives to stop speaking their own languages and instead only speak English for example, the Netherlands (who colonized us for 350 years) decided not to have most Indonesians learn Dutch because they think it'll keep them "dumb", though eventually they of course had to communicate with the nobles and they needed some local civil servants too, so y'know. But that decision not to teach Dutch also gave birth this fascinating case of the Javanese diaspora in Suriname, which was a Dutch colony. They basically brought some Javanese indentured workers for their plantations, and their descendants still speak Javanese today, even though they're so far removed from their ancestors' homeland.
Yeeahhh This is it, BTW this video uploaded for celebrate 79th of Independence Day of Republic Indonesia, with theme "Nusantara Baru, Indonesia Maju".
