I love the mosaic tile wall in the background, spelling Lionel Electric Trains! 😃
Its incredible! It is one of the highlights of the store and a true piece of art! Happy Railroading!
It was cool seeing you unbox this in person! Glad I got one too!
Absolutely! It was insanely cool to be able to unbox one of these at a Lionel Store. I'm so happy you got one too! These pilots are absolutely incredible!! Happy Railroading!!🚂🦁
Picked up my 2000s version Tuesday absolutely love it!!
I tip my cap off to lionel for the packaging design. No broken parts at all came off during shipping or during the unboxing. I really hope they will pack future brass hybrid models like this going forward!
Great video
You said it! I got the 1990s version too and both variations are absolutely incredible!! The level of care they took in the packaging ensured these locomotives arrived safe without any issues.
When packing these locomotives, ensure the cab windows are folded in. Sometimes they get caught and can pop off but how Lionel designed them it makes it easy to pop them back in.
I hppe so too! Brass Hybrids are some of the best locomotives out there!!
Nice!
Thank you! BOLO for another 90 coming soon!! Happy Railroading!
That is gonna get my attention
It's definitely an eye catcher!👀🚂
Wow! Way cool Guy! Looks like a beautiful Locomotive. Congratulations 🎈🍾
Thanks Timothy! National Lionel Train Day was so much fun and I can't wait for next year! These locomotives are some if not the best looking locomotive in the world! Happy Railroading 🚂!
Wow! The unpainted Pilot model is breathtaking. And only 10 of them made this way? That's crazy! Good for you.
It absolutely is! It's truly a beautiful model and can't believe we have one! Thank you and happy railroading!🚂🦁
Great Job.
Thank you! It's an incredible locomotive and super excited Ryan unboxed it! Happy Railroading!
Now if that could start implementing that style packing with all the other locomotives 😉
I agree with you here. Overall Lionel has improved over the years and this model required the extra layers of protection. This type of packaging is very similar to the VL GEVO and 0-8-8-0 Switcher. Happy Railroading!
Congratulations! 'Hope to acquire an unpainted brass hybrid one day.
Thank you! There were only 10 of these produced so the thrill of the hunt begins! Good luck and Happy Railroading!
I am glad to see that the handle bar supports are plastic. Those things always tend to break on me.
Good catch. I haven't really looked at the model so I'll need to check those out! Happy Railroading!!
I went for the unpainted pilot version as well and it came yesterday. Very impressive. Clearly something went down in the process here as the box date is last year the the orange box had clearly been opened and closed many times. Was the plastic wrap around your locomotive kind of tacky feeling? Any idea what happened with these over the past year? Regardless the outcome is perfect.
That's awesome, congratulations! Talking with Ryan, the locomotives came to Lionel however, they were not happy with them (I don't know the specifics) but they ended up sending them back across the water.
Which number is yours out of 10!? xx/10!?🚂
3 of 10 per the carton #. At least the outcome was perfect. The small black screw holding the pilot coupler was loose inside the box but that was an easy fix. That tight grab when the foam lid is being placed back over the loco worried me a bit haha. I do wish that when these back to the factory events take place that Lionel would replace the wraps and boxes with new so it doesn't look like one is getting a used product. The first Vision Line loco was on a base with loose screws. That one was a disaster. But the current Lionel team as we saw in Concord during LCCA is top notch and seems to be focused on producing something for everyone with high quality. The licensing efforts are also top notch. Concord was a great convention. Great videos! Michael W. @@will2926
