This was shown on my 4th birthday!!!
I turned seven on that day.
The day I was born, and happy birthday to me LOL
i swear to god, that peacock is as legendary as Gru.
Voice of Sears I was her age when I was first taught to ride a bike and around 1971
I was 8 months old
I was 8! A few I remember.
These aired on my 8th birthday
I turned 8 the day these aired!
Weirdly, instant tea ads make a comeback in 1991.
Nine days before my third birthday, living in Manhattan, playing in Washington Square Park every day as my mom hung out with the other hippie moms on the benches.
I was nine years old. A hippie couple rented the house across the street from us. They had two pets: a cat named Captain Midnight and a black Lab named Pax. They weren’t there very long. Sometimes I wonder how they ended up. I guess they’d be mid ‘70s in age now.
Wow, my mother was five months pregnant with me when this aired! 👀
@Jared Thomas which series?
"The best baking baking in the world ... that happens to be frozen because it's the 70s."
Lol! The Scholl's foot odor spray is the most memorable commercial to me from this selection. There was also one where his dog fell over from a begging position
That was for Odor Eaters but it's the same actor, Roy Stuart from Gomer Pyle
There's something funny about foot odor...🦶
How about Feminine Deodorant Spray announced by ... several men
Phil Gaines does a couple of station id's for WRC-TV in Washington. Gaines was a staff announcer from 1963-79.
Future "Shaft" star Richard Roundtree in the Colgate toothpaste ad as a baseball coach. Rare Alka-Seltzer spot with Karl Weber on camera. Paul Richards speaks for American Express.
Great catch on Karl Weber's on-camera appearance for Alka-Seltzer. He really was an all-time great commercial talent.
3:25 Michael Bell on the voice-over for Lawry's Seasoned Salt.
2:06 I believe this is Bonnie Herman's voice in this Dial commercial.
8:00 William Schallert on the v/o for Dr. Scholl's.
9:44 This Karl Weber on-camera appearance for Alka-Seltzer is a real treat.
12:15 Peter Thomas for Litter Green.
Peter also spoke for Listerine at the time {"Listerine Antispetic. It's got the taste people hate. *Twice a day."}*
Life was simpler 50 years ago.
Bring your trash to Pat's house!
Idk why but that dialogue dry deodorant commercial was somewhat fun and entertaining-at least for me 🙂
Reminds me some of the old '1-10' number animation sequences for Sesame Street too.
Yep. Best one.
Hit song at the time: "Sweet Hitch-hiker", Creedence Clearwater Revival. For the V05 ad, "we put these two hair-sprayed girls on a rocket sled ..."
The Apollo 15 V/O promo at 6:15 was Fred Facey, and the Vic Damone promo at 14:05 was V/O'd by Bill Rippe.
My last day as a 19 y/o.
My uncle's last day in his 30s.
Shaft actor Richard Roundtree 10:48
7:27 - I think the “Star of the Tent Sale” promo was recorded in a cave.
7:40- Roy Stuart.
13:38 is that Daniel J. Travanti who'd a decade later be in the show " Hill Street Blues"? Sure looks like him.
No, he looks way too old. Travanti looked like that in '85. BUT ... Veronica Hamel did the last TV tobacco ad in 1970.
Breck basic texturizing shampoo song - 5:44
14:49- Dan Resin.
15:53: Buick.
16:55: Volvo.
At 12:46 - it would have been faster to just say the time than “Sorry, that’s not my table”.
@ 15:24 - Paul Richards. That might also be him on the voice-over for the other AMEX ad @ 8:12.
I was 4
I would be 6 in a month 😊
Mateus Wine: Portuguese Rotgut.
Ed McMahon wished he had poured Budweiser on his Corn Flakes...🥴
Lawry's on burgers and 🐔 chicken
Delicious! 😋
Primetene mist Dial soap and deodorant then antiperspirant
Don't get them mixed up. 😅
The Buick ad is terrible. Twelve Buicks in 19 years…wow, those cars sure didn’t have lasting power!
