    We are well into the 2nd season, but its just hit me, that the reason this podcast is 1000 times better than the cricket, boxing and football podcast is because of Alex Payne and the mutual respect and rapport he and James and Tindall all have for each other. It’s a group of friends shooting the shit.

    Funny how the no.1 ranking meant something when ABs had it for about 10 years and now it doesn't at all apparently. Same sort of thing coming out of the Sky team in NZ. All it really indicates is that it is close at the top. There are 6 teams who can all beat each other on the day and then Scotland, Argentina and France, with France having the most capacity to join that top 6 group. England are peaking well but they have a really tough lead in to a potential QF and then will have to be able to go again and again etc. Their WC rests on Billy V and Owen Farrell's shoulders. The fact that Saracens have been doing the business is massive for them. I just feel like South Africa's strengths are so similar to strengths of the best NH teams and I'm not entirely sure they would bully Wales or England or even Ireland or France to the same extent as they did Australia and Argentina. Their game plan is simple and their energy is suffocating, and I think they can catch NZ if they try to play too much rugby in their own half, but I would still expect Ireland v SA, Scotland v NZ, England v Wales, and France v Australia QFs. SA deserve to be favourites against Ireland on current form and first xv, NZ will beat Scotland, I actually think Wales will beat England because it will be the third big game for England in a row, and I think France might just do it against Australia and that could be a game for the ages. That would leave us with an NZ Wales semi and probably a France SA semi (though it could just as easily be an Ireland Australia semi). And then NZ SA final where SA could win it because the stakes are raised and their game plan suits cup rugby.

    There we go! The three amigos all playing off of each other and just a great, great hour. Could have been two hours and would have wanted more. Rugger chat and stories are what we want and this was what we got. 1,000,000 times improvement on last weeks pish. Alex I had a shitty day too, and this has me going to bed amused and satisfied! Thanks guy! #spreadsheetsaysno

    As an Irishman I dont disagree with Tinds assesment of Irelands chances however I find it interesting him criticising Ireland and wales being boring when the 2003 England side won games being as negative and boring as the archers. Yes it won games and a world cup but it was seasons of breakdown dominance/jonnys boot.

    Whilst it’s nice for Genge to give his shirt away, you’d have to doubt the sincerity of the action on account of his retweeting a hundred tweets about what a good bloke he was.

    • @jackoflanagan
      @jackoflanagan 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      What was that with Genge?

    • @timwookey9217
      @timwookey9217 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jack O'Flanagan Genge gave his top away to an ill child. He was praised, but then went on to social media and retweeted all the tweets about him being a top bloke.

    • @06alepea1
      @06alepea1 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      He replied to Will Carling’s retweet of the Sky Sports tweet, taking the piss out of him. Carling has been in the England camp recently so Genge is obviously having “banter” with him.
      He retweeted Kyle Sinckler’s retweet of the Sky tweet because him and Kyle are very good friends.
      He replied to the tweet of the rugby club of the kid who he had been talking to. Just showing his support for the club and the kid again.
      He retweeted Jonny’s tweet because Jonny mentioned the way he said “safe safe” to Greenwood at the end of the interview. Genge has made a big thing about rugby missing out on a lot of talent in kids who don’t go to private schools.
      So, in response to your accusation that the whole giving of his match top to the kid with dispraxia was just a publicity stunt, you obviously don’t know Ellis Genge.

    Money,resource wise and the IRB in its back pocket the Poms should of won every WCup ,6 Nations and every test series ever!Goes to show money can't buy or rule everything?Now the Poms latest saviour,Eddie Jones the fanatic analyst of NZ Rugby has concocted a 4yr plan to copy and assimilate their style and play and the need to have 5 dominant players in their positions to be successful in a WCup format a ploy he discovered NZ has always used to a higher degree of success?
    In saying that,is it enough for the Poms to beat NZ? I think the Poms need to worry about the Boks in the semi-final instead of looking to forward ahead to NZ!
    Hask was born yesterday?

      57 -15 - 2019 (+8 tries). Nuff said. And that's without using the stigma of an historical event to obtain an edge (i.e. Croke Park 1920) to which NONE of the England players had anything to do with in 2007. PATHETIC. You lot even tried it this year in the 6N with the whole 800 years oppression ad slogan via Paddy Power. Thank fucking Christ our boys laid you out 32-20 (and it should have been more).
