This song (as well as Samaltau) were performed in Dimash's studio because it was during the pandemic lockdown . I heard that according to the rules of Tokyo Jazz Festival there were 2 people sent by them for each performer to make sure that each song was sung live 😍🎼🌹
Thank you so much for stating this. I had tried to find the rules of the festival and could not. Since the festival is usually live, I had really doubted that they would have allowed all of the things that reactors are theorizing he did.
This was live streamed. This was during COVID. The people from the Jazz Festival sent the camera people to make it a live stream. This was the one and only take.
Thank you. I had tried to find the rules for the contest that year and wasn't able to find them. I doubted that they would have allowed all of the things reactors are theorizing he did. One even kept saying he was lip-syncing.
Dimash is music itself, art in person. Each song he performs is like a work of art, a linture, full of colors and unique elements. I confess that at 44 years old I had never seen anything like it. He changed the way I see art and brought more light into my life!! Let everyone know the work of Dimash.
This song was in honor of the composer of the song, Koji Tamaki. The Tokyo Jazz Festival was celebrating him that year. This is the first time Dimash has sung this song in Japanese. He has sung it in Chinese. Koji Tamaki says that other people has sung this song for him but no one else has done it in Japanese! He also said that Dimash did a great job! 😊❤️
Welcome back guys. You have been sorely missed. So glad to see you both. Dimash has improved so much. If possible please set aside some time for his MV or the live version of "The Story of One Sky" from his concert in Almaty. It took 3 yrs for Dimash to write this masterpiece. It's a must see and hear. Also, his new MV "When I've Got You. Stranger from 2021 New Wave event in Sochi Russia, and latest duet with Chante Moore "Lose Control" at Singer 2024. Hope to see you is again soon from North Carolina 😊
good reaction. Dimash practices 4 hrs every single day. He will practice longer than that during shows, etc, but not less. He's been practicing since he was 5. He's got a Masters in composition. He's now working on his doctorate, though not sure where he finds the time 💜. He works very hard at his music. He won't drink iced drinks (for his throat), he doesn't drink alcohol. He does all that, and more, to protect his voice. Also, I'm pretty sure this was sent live. I read that it had to be that way.
In regards to your comments about the equipment being used and the lack of a puff guard. The entire setup being used is traditionally used in Japanese jazz recording session from the 1960s-1980s (the song orginally came out in the 1980s). The microphone gain is maxed out (later in the song he actually clips the microphone amp) and yes it is all tube equipmet being used. In this the beginning of the song, it is not a trick of the camera, he is actually standing more than an arms length away from the microphone and not facing directly at it which is why you don't hear any puffs or sibilance unless he chooses to add it.
Amazing with all these reviewer comments that from attending one of his concerts the perfect pitch and sheer brilliance of the vocals when singing live, the quality was outstanding from the first song to the last - some 3.5 hours! Unbelievable ❤
Guys, how great it would be to see you again with your cool, very detailed reactions! Behind 🙏🌹During your absence, Dimash released many new Masterpieces, I am sure that you missed Diya and we also missed you very much! 🥰🙏🫶🇰🇿🙌
Great reaction again, and whatever he does to make it so perfect, is worth it! If you see it with the lyrics, you'll see how his expressions match them so well, like all his performances. My new fave is the MV of "Smoke", not the performance video version. It's a whole new genre and his creative genius is off the charts! I find it very empowering, want to listen to it everyday, along with "You Raise Me Up" truly a song for our times, done so amazingly.
Ben ,kazak dilinde sesli harflerin konuşurken vurgulandığını fark ettim .Özellikle "R" harfini, şarkı söylerken zor olsa da Dimash bunu çok kolay yapabiliyor. Türkiye'den selam..❤✌
Someone has mentioned the performance with Chanté Moore at Singer 2024. Just incredible duet!! And the sound check of "When I"ve got" you? Or "Week end" with Burak Yeter?? Oh... Dimash always makes magic!! Regards...
I heard that since this was a voice competition that they sent officials to verify that the song was sung live. He did it in two takes. I’ve seen a video short out there somewhere where a Chinese, (I believe), expert teaches Dimash how to perfect this technique of volume dynamics and on this song and ones after you see him use this perfected technique often. It’s the only video I’ve seen where he is being coached. It was very interesting!😁
Holaaa que alegría volverlos a ver!! 👏👏🙏🤗❤️Gracias hay mucho por ver, When I've Got You, Smoke, Lose control con Chante Moore en I Singer 2024, Dueto con Placido Domingo y mucho más, saludos cordiales desde Perú 🤗❤️🇵🇪
Hello, the Tokyo festival since the pandemic happened, they recorded it. At the previous year's festival, I think 2020 sang Samaltau's song in his own studio, a blast. I don't know why the festival management said they had to record it Live and in a single take. From what we can see, they believe that he recorded it live in his studio but in two or more takes and he responded that they should send two Japanese cameramen and record it themselves and that's how it was. In a single take and Live the voice. The music may have been pre-recorded... Greetings from Malaga, Spain. 😊
This version "Ikanaide" (行かないで) ) is the original, from 1989, composed by Koji Tamaki (famous Japanese singer, born in 1958) with lyrics by Goro Matsui. The version "Autumn Strong" (Late Autumn), sung in Chinese, uses the same song, but has another lyrics (Yaqui Cheung, from 1993) and another theme: It talks about the Japanese actress Yoshiko Yamagushi, very dear to the Chinese, who was deported when they discovered her Japanese origin (his real name was Li Xiang Lan and we're talking about World War II, where Japan was China's enemy) and never returned to China. In the original version, the lyrics are more intimate, sentimental and more recognized worldwide. It means: "Please don't go!". For those who want to know the original work, just check this video: th-cam.com/video/2j3ab7cu_30/w-d-xo.html
It is a live recording. The festival sent 2 camera operators to record it. I assume they used a switching board for the cameras. They accidentally over-zoomed into his nostril or something, so they had to do one edit.
Can’t help falling in love.
This is not the original video. The Tokyo Jazz Festival had rules. It had to be sung live in one take. The original video showed only the close up. The other video angles were edited in later for the YT video.
Pls, hear the same song, LIVE and you will see no difference. He is (on this video) in his home studio, 'cause the Covid in 2021 !! I would like that you don't stop the video, to talk of technical, and just listen and react after pls. Tks, from Canada

I believe 'Across Endless Dimensions' was sung during this time too
Thank you so much for stating this. I had tried to find the rules of the festival and could not. Since the festival is usually live, I had really doubted that they would have allowed all of the things that reactors are theorizing he did.

Look at the Tokyo Jazz Festival version of Samaltau. In his home studio. You can see the computer set up.

Liste to his ...loose control..... in the singer competition in China, where he sings as a quest to sing a duet with Chante Moore, who is a contestant

SIN PALABRAS ESTA ES SU PRIMERA CANCIÓN EN JAPONES ❤❤❤
It is a live recording. The festival sent 2 camera operators to record it. I assume they used a switching board for the cameras. They accidentally over-zoomed into his nostril or something, so they had to do one edit.

Oh gosh.. the dears are going to slam you for this. Just some bad camera work.
About the consonants, that is part of the Japanese language. Japanese consonants do not pop.
Blah, blah blah. Just envy.
