Doesn't mean I'm a singer or james is an whatever instrument player of he was meant to sing. This programme is actually about a band. People can't help judging. Lisa's dead. Let's pass it on. So sad
This is a phenomenal series and the casting was so spot on. Their chemistry was off the charts and so believable . I will be rewatching all 10 episodes soon
Even though intellectually I understand what acting is…it’s always so fascinating seeing an actor whose whole physicality and presence is so vastly different to the character they play. That’s how it feels watching Sam after seeing him as Billy.
As someone who was in High School and College in the 70’s (during the greatest period in Rock music IMO) I absolutely love this series! I grew up in a household with 3 brothers with Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac and more- this series is bringing back a lot of great memories-and the acting/singing is fabulous! Thank you Amazon Prime!
I guess that is my fascination with it too after watching the whole series three times. I graduated in 74. But Daisy would have befriended another hippy, not a pop star.
They did sound so good together! I love their chemistry in the series, but you can tell they just like each other in real life too! What a great series!! I think that Riley is a much better singer than she thought and Sam is excellent; I love both of their voices, perfect casting! Thank you for this show, we need a second season! (from Sandi)
I loved this series. I was 13 in 1970 and was a music fanatic since I was 6. 4th of 5 kids and the oldest 9 years my senior. Everyone played albums. From Frank Sinatra to The Stones. I play piano and sang in bands for years. This show got EVERYTHING right, from music, clothes, cars and decor!! Best anything on TV.
Riley truly has resemblance of her mom, bless her beautiful soul, Lisa Marie. Some of the music also resembles music of Lisa Marie’s, luv this series, enjoyable. Billy is so handsome & had an amazing voice, he really played the part in appearance!
There is one smile scene -- one in the whole series (at a party) -- where Riley flashes an Elvis smile. Otherwise, no resemblance. She stands on her own.
I was already a fan of Band of Horses, Dawes & Phoebe Bridgers, but I have a whole new respect for the songwriters in that they basically created the music exactly as I heard it in my head.
@@mirabella2154 it’s not like she’s going to be crying and bawling in front of journalists and her cast mates. Also, everyone copes with grief differently, it’s not for you to judge.
@@alicee3670 Nobody expects her to cry publicly. I don't even expect her to cry in private, since I am aware that not everyone feels like crying and sometimes it hits you months later. But I expected her to take a step back from the media frenzy. And it is for me to judge.
It s work she's the star character I'm sure bc of the really close relationship she had with her mother Lisa Marie Presley that she s hurting of course but if at interviews they start asking her about her mom for example how do u feel that ur mom s not here to watch this series ? I'm sure she ll get chocked up.. I'm sure she has moments that she breaks down Don't judge her she s just doing promotion for the series it s work! People give her a break she needs it .. she list a mother who adored and smothered all her children with love ❤️ rip Lisa Marie Presley ♥️
@@mirabella2154 Take a step back from the "media frenzy"? Are you effing kidding? This has been planned for MONTHS. Contracts were signed, this is her JOB. No one in the business gives a shit that her mother died. Speaking from experience, it was probably the worst day of her entire life, but...Life goes on. You still have to work. You still have to live. In the real world, I got 3 days. But I cried for months. Not every moment of Riley's life is filmed and I'm sure she grieves every single day. She still has a job to do, though, and this is part of it.
Looking forward to watching this. I met Sam Claflin when he came to TIFF for the "Riot Club" release. He was super nice, considering it was well past 2:30am in a hotel lobby as a bunch of us were leaving (slowly, like herding cats). I gushed about the movie and promised him that I wasn't stalking him, I just happened to be there. He laughed and said "I know." (Name drop time: We had been hanging out with Dave Franco that night and he just shook his head at me in feigned disgust at my massive fan-girling. It was really funny).
Lucky you! He seems like such a nice guy. I have to admit, I loved his American accent, he just came off so great in the series; his English accent gives him a really different character, but so nice. Could watch him in anything he does, he's such a great actor. (from Sandi)
I'm watching for the 2nd time. While only loosely based on Fleetwood Mac, you can't help but think of Stevie and Lindsay and the similarities of the chemistry between Sam and Riley. Phenomenal series.. Amazing casting.
Since we know Billy and Daisy probably get together, maybe a reunion tour? I was a freshman in HS in 1970. This show got it all right, the hair, clothes, music, shoes, boots, jewelry, attitudes, all of it. I have to watch it again.
Not a bad show but my biggest gripe is the high waisted women's jeans/trousers. It was all hipsters (not the weedy beardy blokes...) and bare midriffs - very cool, not today's tummy huggers.
It's pretty decent, I can't hear anything remotely 70's however, nothing whatsoever says 70's about it to be real. Teh Acting is fabulous, singing sounds great considering they were not singers to begin with.Just the music sounds like country Britney spears, over produced pop sound and yeah doesn't sound like, say, remotely feel like or remind me of 70's. Other than that awesome work done by all really!
Totally agree. The bass guitar and drums just don't have that mellowness that genuine 70s records have. There are bands and producers that have successfully emulated the sound more recently (the Cardigans, the Zutons, the Magic Numbers). It just needs more than Hammond organs and Wurlitzer electric pianos. Such a shame because I'm sure many producers and engineers capable of pulling it off would have been up for the job.
We definitely had our sounds in the 70's and it was different than this, but they were supposed to be a band trying to find their sound, so it wasn't going to be perfect and like Led Zeppelin or The Doors, etc. (from Sandi)
They were cast without having sang together!?! Their voices were literally meant to sing together. I'm blown away.
IKR
her voice is INSANE its exactly how I imagined it would be from the book. HOWWWWWW can she say she doesnt know how to sing
I think downplaying it esp when you're Elvis's granddaughter is a better look and she's leaning into it
She's lying about not singing. Her mother and grandfather were great singers. She sang in another movie a few years ago too.
She never tried it in a professional setting before. People aren't guaranteed to inherit any specific trait
@@TheMarkmcr Yes she has. Look at the past movies she did where she sings.

We all got into music then- no internet!
I got access to all the screeners for this (perks of being in media). This show is PHENOMENAL. Can't wait for the rest of the world to see everything
Sam Claflin voice is insane ! (Both of them are) but the fact that this actor never sang before ( maybe i am not right ? Tell me ?) is amazing
Her smile, specially while is singing is charming

RILEY SOUNDS SO GOOD!
Prayers to Riley. She only recently lost her mother.
Doesn't look like she is bothered at all.
I find it odd that you behave like nothing happened when your mother suddenly dies.

I wanted it to continue!
Watched all 3 episodes and dying for more!!!!! ❤
I'm so happy that music royalty lives in this gorgeous woman ❤
But can Daisy Jones & The Six continue after the show? like can the actors keep the band going and go on tour.
Yes. That would be amazing. They really should.

I loved this show
They're in love
What is crazy its that you all looks very natural for your roles ! ❤❤ but this is never the case 😅 félicitations ! ! For this beautiful story 😊
Sam Claflin eres lo mas,te quiero y estoy deseando verte como Billie
I really hope they change their mind for a second season
Me too. I want yo see the years of Billy and Daisy now
I would love to see more but it is based on a book that doesn’t have a sequel.
She's lying about not singing. Her mother and grandfather were great singers. She sang in another movie a few years ago too.
I want to go to a councert of theirs
I'd love to know which voice coach they both worked with.
Son perfectos😍🤩

Why are all the best male actors today from the UK or Australia?
They're probably more disciplined. Smarter. Focused.
Mainly British

Why didn't you ask why the dude became so thin for that role?

Whyyyyyyy! Why did Sam Claflin get veneers?
I can't believe he's English
He doesn't even look like Billy now
Who is this British guy
HES BRITISH???
He ruined Billy Dunn for me.

Yes I thought that too. The original songs actually sound like something out of a disney movie like camp rock lol
I’m sorry- this is FAR better than “country Brittany Spears”
The masterising is not so well i agree ! I prefer when they sing in studio than when they’re on scene in the show but their voices are ❤
