One of the most beautiful things I've ever heard. The Icelandic seem to all share this ability to write music that sounds like the way their landscape looks. If you've ever been you know what I mean.
I love reading the comments under Ásgeir's videos. It's nice to read what other fans have to say and we all have one thing in common. We can't just like his music. We really love it. It moves us and affects us emotionally.
I loved the English version, but this Icelandic one has no words for me to describe it. Shivering all over. Woow.... **more devoted than ever to learn Icelandic**
I met a girl crazy about Iceland at that concert, figured it might have been you judging by your channel and the video's you like ;) Did you get to see him yet?
No, refused to pay the stupid extra membership fee at Paradiso. My time will come. I often stay close to where he lives in Hvammstangi (no I am not such insane fan, Im not visiting him or wait at his house (dont even know which one), but I just happen to stay there every year at a horsefarm 5 minutes away) but he is never around, haha ;-) Maybe I go to his Antwerpen concert because he neglects Holland in next months tour. ;-)

TheTechWhizNumberOne these lyrics are wrong. My Icelandic isn't strong enough to provide an alternative, but even as an intermediate speaker, these are way off.
Somebody knows where can I find the lyrics to this beautiful song? I would really like if someone whose native language is Icelandic, would translate this.
If its the English translation you are looking for, on his English language version of the album this song is titled 'Dreaming'. John Grant helped him to translate the lyrics pretty much directly word for word so its true to the original meaning. Hope that's what you were looking for
+73R3N3 This is not the same English, I speak icelandic and isn't direct translation, as are most of ásgeir´s songs. Sorry for my bad english, i´m still learning.

It truly doesn't matter if I don't understand the lyrics-the tone of his voice takes me to a gentle place in my mind's eye- Exquisitly beautiful

Were you at the Paard van Troje show in Den Haag? :)
No I found out too late (it was on my birthday too).

It's like 4 euros right? Not that much ;) I saw him 3 times live :) I've never been to Iceland but I'm going there this summer!
I've lost count of the amount of times I've replayed this, so beautiful
Icelandic language + Icelandic music = magic.

This is the most amazing I've ever heard your voice be, and I didn't think it could get any better. So, so beautiful Ásgeir.

Frá mér til ykkar
æði laungur leiðin
yfir lævir géngnum dærin
ali mér ég dunda tosókóða stjödur
nú fugl er gró
sérkanlega guds
ég ekki trúi
eingin væking hinum meijim
ágæt hér a roda
annars stig sjögnum er hjó
þín heindar bró
ég vanda samt að vera
vet ekki að fyndið
ei mér find er að hllja
aldrei rétt og við ei jaman
þín augun blinking næri

Wow! Thank you so much! Had been looking for these lyrics for ages 🙏🏽
ca voix elle méme et une musique :o
Does anyone have the lyrics of this wonder in Icelandic? I would be very thankful!
Does anyone know if it is the tenor or bass trombone he's playing?
Góður Ásgeir
Perú loves you!
For the guy wanting to know the type of trombone: Looks like a straight tenor to me, there's a counterweight and no extra tubing and triggers etc

Kristi
I'd prefer "direct" translation, but if the english version has pretty much the same meaning, that's okay. Thank you for your kind answer!
73R3N3 Can't help you there sorry if only I could speak Icelandic!)
+73R3N3 it's actually not directly translated :)

I want to have his babies now haha :)
