I love how Trent asks all of us if we think he should spend $1500 yet he buys tools that are far more expensive with no questions asked. Allie..go to Hawaii with the girls!!! 👙☀️🏝️
HaHa that's what I thought, all the new vehicles with after market mods, tractor ,snow blowers, snow mobile, toys, two hired people, and he's worried about $1,500 LOL
That espresso machine cost way more than $1500! If it’s something that could make the difference of you being there for your boys or not, I don’t see how it’s even a consideration. You are participating in some winter sports in very tall snowy mountains. If you were living in Florida, I’d say no to an avalanche pack but where you are and what you do, it makes sense to have it.
@@cd2290 that’s exactly why he asked for our feedback. He knew he was safe! Oh, and I’m sure that backpack he was wearing in the video was the avalanche kit so again proof it was a setup. Why would Trent ask permission for anything anyway?
YES Avalanche kit..heard guy's account who grew up snow moiling, an avalanche hit he survived but lost 2 best friends cam close himself. Worth the cost for yourself & Allie & son.
Wow. Would be great if there was a way that snow could be saved and turned into water for later use. Few years ago, two businessmen, in NY I think, were actually considering it.
I was just going back through because some of your old videos came up and I came across this one. And at about the 33 minute mark Allie, I saw your mom.😢 she was such a beautiful woman. Has brought me to tears. I lost my dad and my stepdad 3 1/2 weeks apart November 2021. I know you’re pain just want you to know you’re not alone and I am so deeply sorry for your loss. She was a wonderful woman.
Trent, if you are going to do risky things, then yes you need to make sure that you take every precaution. Your family needs you. Allie, Leo and Joel still need you in their lives as well as your mom, siblings, grandparents. Many people need you to be safe and remain in their lives. Yes, buy an avalanche kit! And if Allie were to go with you, she needs one too.
Get a tripod. Plant it in the snow. Use two hands to clean off vehicles. Driveway is more important than cleaning off trucks at the beginning. Use machinery while it is working. Take a snow day yourself with your family and stay home. Let both of your home workers have the day off.
My partner knows someone who borrowed a friend's avalanche pack to go into the mountains and ended up needing it. Saved his life. You live in the mountains. Definitely buy them. We live in the prairies and you shouldn't go snowmobiling without a survival suit. Unfortunately there are still people who won't spend the $$$ and fall through the ice every year.
Just like having a helmet. Why do you wear a helmet ..... just in case you take a tumble, it protects your head. Is that definitely going to happen ..... nope ..... but if it does, you want to be protected. And, gotta say this .... can't pass up saying this ...... with all they spend on a snow mobile, tolls, "toys", the truck Trent is rebuilding for fun .... not as a vehicle fotr everyday use ..... and he is quibbling with himself about spending $1500 to keep himself safe ..... yeah, he is gonna buy an avalanche pack
The poor babysitter! She should have gotten the day off too. Hope she's getting paid double time considering the safety risk of her getting stuck or worse. If the schools are closed she probably shouldn't be asked to drive in those conditions. Besides, more time with Leo is a plus whenever you can get it. The baby years are over fast and the age he is now (toddler years) are going to be the best years. You won't get this stage back. Short of getting the yard plowed, this should have been a family day for you guys too. Brandon has the right idea!
3 reasons why you should buy the avalanche pack: 1) keeps you wife from prematurely aging due to stress & worry every time you go out riding without one 2) you might be able to help save someone else’s life with it 3) I would love to see what is in one - it would make a great video.
The best part of this video is seeing Leo so happy …he will be running soon and talking up a storm….speaking of storms….Sydney and Brandon are troopers…..braving the snow to come to work…..wow…..the best part is Leo clinking his sippy cup with grandma and grandpa with a broad gap toothed smile…a magic moment…..♥️
Suggest closing sides up for 3 reasons. 1. save propane. 2. melt the Ice. - side walls are not insulated so closing in the sides will raise the temp in the side portions. Heat loss is inside minus outside temp. the bigger the difference the more heat needed. [I use the same on the back porch and get 10-20° warmer on back porch.] 3. dry out sides.
I amazed at how fast Leo is growing and independently moving about.👏👏Sitting on the couch sucking his thumb like a cool little man when the baby sitter walks in, priceless!
Leo's making leaps and bounds in his development. Large and small motor skills are excellent as well as showing great social skills. He's such a happy, enthusiastic little guy, just like Mommy and Daddy. I say take the Hawaii trip and bring Grandma and Grandpa. They will enjoy playing in the water and on the beach with Leo. Take care and God's blessings to you and yours.
My boyfriend snowmobiles, you should get a set of those battery operated gloves...can get them warmed up before you go and then recharge them when you get home!
If it were my husband I’d get the avalanche pack. You guys need another Snowmobile at some point too! It would be nice for Allie and Leo to be a part of a family adventure in the snow ❄️ I can’t believe the record snowfall this year. It’s just crazy!
Love seeing more footage of Leo, Frank and Lika!. Leo looked adorable wearing sunglasses. The pooches were so sweet cuddled on the couch with the big teddy bear.
My son does back country skiing in Tahoe. He put his own avalanche pack together for under $800. But he also did the 2 day avalanche training. And, of course, you never want to be out alone. And at the very minimum you have to have the beacon and the signal finder, and need to know how to use them.
I was a carpenter and Jack of all trades for over 40 years and water pipes in an outside wall in cold country are never a good idea. Those pipes will need to be extremely well insulated. I have enjoyed all your content for a few years now and am amazed at how well as armatures you have progressed. I will continue to be here every week to watch every installment of both your channels. I pray for the health of all your family and Brandon’s too. And I pray for the water pipes too. Lol Ron C.
Growing up with actual snow is wonderful. I recall the snow forts we built but that's long gone here now, barely a flurry. Leo should have a lot of fun once he's a little older.
I agree. .Lover the snow growing up. Even into my teens, ice-skating, tubing, sledding. Shoveling it at times. But now much older , love to look at in falling on TV. I live in Western Arizona where we don't get snow.
I think that with everything: sports, building, mechanics . . . Everything - the right protective gear, equipment and tools can make or break the experience. Its the protective gear you don’t have that will kill you. It’s the tool you don’t have that will prevent you from getting the job done.
Happy Friday! Allie needs her own snowmobile and an Avalanche pack too! Oh, and Trent should have one too. Insurance is always something we hope we never need or use!
I am soooooo jealous of you guy's snow. I'm just "up the road" in the Denver area and we ain't got poo! Have fun and a great Friday! Oh yeah...Sup with that coif!?
Trent, your life is worth much more than the $1500. Get the avalanche pack. Get job Sydney on getting through all of that snow! And vote yes on an impromptu trip to Hawaii as long as you can keep your house & garage safe while you are gone to avoid problems with frozen pipes and snow accumulation not being cleared. Not only do we love you guys, but many of us live vicariously through you.
Hey I am from Canada and we have lost 12 people in avalanches in the province of British Columbia already and avalanche season has just started. It is so worth it!
My favorite scenes are snowy. I loved Frank's cuddle to the stuffed animal. He's got the right idea. As much time as you three will be on the slopes, an avalanche kit is a great idea!
You should have some handlebar guantlets to keep the wind off your gloves. It will make a world of difference in the cold by creating a barrier between the wind and your outer glove fabric. Won’t need them all the time but you can Velcro them on when it’s extremely cold to protect your digits.
Its a no brainer Trent. Do you wear an avalanche beacon or is that what is in what you call an avalanche pack. So many people die each year in the mountains of BC and Alberta due to avalanches and safety is so important. Many of those are snowmobilers. Look at Allie and Leo and imagine your family without you. You buy all the latest and greatest gadgets for your shop and home but your safety comes first. I have seen those huge trailers come into my home town to sled but never knew they were that awesome inside. Leo is what brings me to your channel, love that little guy. Hugs
🥰 Yes Trent you must get the avalanche pack. The snow’s extreme amounts here in California have put the potential danger in everyone’s minds. The pack is necessary for you and where you live. Happy for Brandon that he was able to have a fun snow day with his family. I felt sorry to see Sydney walking up the driveway in those conditions, would have been better to give her the day off, for her safety, and to show your appreciation of her. Love watching Leo walk, his face is starting to look like a little boy-he’s so cute. Love you all ❤️
Trent I have to agree with Allie! It’s a lot of cash for an emergency piece of equipment but it’s better to have the avalanche pack and not need it than get caught without one! It could be a matter of life and death. It’s that simple! And as you are not going to stay indoors when it’s snow time it’s a great investment! Peace of mind for Allie too if you are not together.
I live in BC and it's a definite "yes" for an avalanche pack and also have all proper equipment (poles, beacon and first aid kit etc) and training for that kind of terrain. Being prepared when caught in the middle of an emergency makes all the difference. Enjoy!
One thing I learned when I was getting certified to scuba dive, as I watched my instructors revive a drowned woman from a different class, was that when your life's on the line, don't cheap out, get the proper equipment. It is only fair to to Allie and Leo, if you give yourself every opportunity to survive a horrible accident.
Trent, you don’t think about buying the appropriate tool to get the job done on the house. The avalanche pack is the appropriate tool for your life. Stay safe!
I could never survive that much snow. It's not for me but I enjoy watching Trent and Allie manage the snow situation. Listen to your wife, purchase the avalanche pack.
Oh goodness, so much snow, we have a ton of snow here in Idaho, this winter has been really crazy, so much more snow this year than last year. And this weekend is daylight savings time, and I am hopefull that once the time changes they will eliminate it and we won't have to do that anymore, I have not liked that and I heard that Utah got rid of that also and I want Idaho to do that to. I am really liking seeing how great you all are at clearing the snow off of your deck and also the driveway. So glad that Trent and Brandon got that plumbing done. I just feel like once spring comes your house is going to be so amazing in all you have don. and I still feel like putting a roof over your deck will be better for the coming weather and not having so much snow all over your deck. Thanks so much for another fun video and so glad that Trent you had a wonderful time riding your snowmobile with those friends. I hope that you have a blessed and happy weekend, sending love and hugs, bye! 🤗👋👍🙏💜💕🌝✨
Avalanche packs are a necessity for both of you when you're skiing, or doing any snow sports. If you ever decide to ride motorcycles you will need the crash gear too. The packs save lives.
You will be able to have your own ski slope if you get any more snow. Regarding purchasing any safety equipment, go for it, it is no good wishing you had afterwards. Safety always come first, stay safe, love from Mike. ❤
I live on the east coast, I’m a Sr and I can’t remember a year like this with so little snow. Last year we were constantly shoveling. This year we only had one snow day of a mere 2 inches. You people got all the snow. Enjoy
I feel for you guys. It’s been a so warm here in Texas. Your record snow does make for great content. Kudos to Trent for keeping his cool. It never fells that something goes wrong and he just troops right through it. Good thing he is young and full of energy.
Buy the equipment! “Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it”. Stay safe always! And way too much snow for me! Yeah for Hawaii, A REALLY hard YES!
If I haven’t mentioned it before, I want to mention it now I absolutely love your intro. Whoever did the artwork for the cabin and your land is a genius.❤ And yes, you do need an avalanche pack don’t leave home without one❤
Allie Make sure he's well insured for his crazy antics, and Trent you have a family that depends on you being around, swallow the hit and buy the Avalanche survival kit.
I grew up and am currently in Pittsburgh, PA. Some of my fav memories are the big snow storms. This year we have had snow maybe twice and only about an inch or two. And it seams the rest of the US is getting hammered. So thank you for sharing. It’s great that nowadays recording these memories is so doable. It took me two weeks to get my Dad’s home movies which the video was on 8mm film and the audio on real-to-real tapes. And is the only reason I remember much of it.
Hey genius, I guess you missed the part when Trent specifically said "do not comment about the pipe". I think there is too much wiggle room between your ears Rickster, or you are just plain inconsiderate!
@@roberta4989 TBF . . . Trent did not say that for the same purpose that Rickster et al made these comments. ( @26:25 ) first - he prefaces his comment with "if you're a plumber" Not sure bout Rickster - but I'm NOT a plumber. Then the gist of Trent's comment is about whether the pipe might be too tight to function properly. These comments are not about that. They relate to "why make the project so hard . . when if you just make the holes a wee bit larger . . . your job would be much easier".
As a snowmobiler from its early days we used to routinely hang the rear of the machine from straps and if it was spring like now we put blocks under the skis... We are making sure that we could use every last bit of snow no matter what!
The fact that you guys can afford it, I say yes. You have 2 sets of eyes watching you, and teaching them safety is priority is a great life lesson, and could mean you are around longer for them. It’s no question.. yes.
Get the avalanche pack. Taking risks with regard for family is the mature thing to do. Leo is adorable. I’m looking forward to all the things our latest granddaughter will do. She’s 4 months old right now and is enjoying standing with support in her toy. Babbling, smiling, so sweet.
Oh my goodness! I could never live in a snowy place! Lol! Y'all would possibly have won a contest for the amount of times you say snow in a video 😂 it's raining here in Georgia. Definitely get the avalanche pack, Trent!!! That sweet baby needs his dad! Y'all stay safe!
Trent: like I wrote before, listen to Allie, even when you think she is being overly cautious. Besides, there are reusable avalanche packs, so you’ll have it as part of your winter kit.
So my two votes are, yes buy the avalanche kit, better safe than sorry. Since the beach vaca to east coast didn't go quite as planned, pack up Leo and Trent and head to HI for a quick winter get away!!
On Fridays I come home, grab a beer, a cigar and sit out front of my house and watch your video on my phone or tablet. When Trent said "glue over poo" and threw up the devil horns I laughed so loud my neighbors looked over nervously.
Hi, Trent! 👋 Definitely invest in the avalanche pack. Always prepare for the worst and hope for the best! Your family 👪 ❤️ will be so grateful you made that decision in the off chance that you ever need it.
Get the avalanche pack. With all the snow you're having I think it's a must. Give Ally some assurance you'll be safe. I hope you also have emergency kits in all your cars.
I am in Western, Arizona going to miss these cool days in the 60s. Having a few days in the 70's, jumping up to the 80's and some 90's by April. Way too soon for 90's, I think we are going to have a really hot summernear the Colorado River.
Can you imagine if this was the winter that hit when you were in the beginning stages (first year) of building and still living in the trailer? 😳 I would imagine you would've had to stay somewhere else until after winter. Big Bear California is just in shambles behind these storms! Stay safe! 🙏
Trent, so sorry for your fall. You must have a exterior heated black mat outside your door: very clever.👏🏻 Lovely of you to pass on the snow blower to Brandon. You accomplished quite a lot today. How could anyone criticize your plumbing?
Trent: YES!!! $1,500 of "life insurance" is a small price to pay for your life. LOVED when Frank cuddled up with the stuffed animal. Your videos are always a breath of fresh air and SOOO enjoyable. thank you.
Good morning and Happy Friday! I love the view of the mountains. The snow I can enjoy looking at it through the window not good for my knees 🤣! I am looking forward to seeing Allie’s parents being a resident of Utah this year 💜! It’s good to see everyone in good health. Have a blessed weekend 💜🦋🙏🏽

It could be a matter of life and death. It’s that simple! And as you are not going to stay indoors when it’s snow time it’s a great investment! Peace of mind for Allie too if you are not together.
That's just a RIDICULOUS AMOUNT OF SNOW!!!
Yes - You can't put a price on your life. From the looks of it, the avalanche pack might even save your life at your house!
Enjoy
Anything that can keep you safe is worthwhile.Go for it Trent. You got Allie's blessing, too
I feel for you guys. It’s been a so warm here in Texas. Your record snow does make for great content. Kudos to Trent for keeping his cool. It never fells that something goes wrong and he just troops right through it. Good thing he is young and full of energy.
Yes, I was thinking the same thing and wondering how they’ll cope when they’re older
Buy the equipment! “Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it”. Stay safe always! And way too much snow for me! Yeah for Hawaii, A REALLY hard YES!
Love your new animated intro !!!🏔
Get the Avalanche Kit....today! And a hard YES to the HAWAII trip!!!! Girls trip!
I am with Allie, get it!! Y’all are truly blessed with Sydney!!
If I haven’t mentioned it before, I want to mention it now I absolutely love your intro. Whoever did the artwork for the cabin and your land is a genius.❤ And yes, you do need an avalanche pack don’t leave home without one❤
I agree about the intro. graphic! Well done!
Allie Make sure he's well insured for his crazy antics, and Trent you have a family that depends on you being around, swallow the hit and buy the Avalanche survival kit.
Yes, Hawaii is a no brainer. You have to remain spontaneous as long as you can.
Pro tip use a pushbroom for a snow brush with trucks.
Trent, If you are using , say, 1 1/2" outside diameter pipe, use a 1 5/8" drill bit. Allows for some wiggle room.
Agreed . . . not really 'rocket science'.
@@TomLloyd-18 Some people just like to argue. Sad
To much snow for Brandon to come up but Sydney still has to come up.
Unbelievable how much snow that you got ! I just don't think I could take it ! Great to see that y'all thrive even though you gave to be freezing !
Definitely YES to Hawaii !!!!! I moved to Oahu and it is one of the BEST decisions I’ve ever made !!!!!!!
Yes, Trent, please get the avalanche pack. Yes, yes, yes!!!!!¡
I am not going to say the hole for the pipe is to tight but i would buy a bigger spade bit :)
I've waited for this one for a week we new you got it bad. Glad you guys are ok .
You're a husband and a father get the pack Trent!
So many people love you so much and want you to be completely safe and alive Trent
When we have snowy weather here, I know you are getting pummeled there! Avalanche pack for sure. What is their shelf life if never used?
Hi, Trent! 👋 Definitely invest in the avalanche pack. Always prepare for the worst and hope for the best! Your family 👪 ❤️ will be so grateful you made that decision in the off chance that you ever need it.
So satisfying to watch Allie to snowblow the deck, that machine just powered through that massive pile of snow!
Get the avalanche pack. With all the snow you're having I think it's a must. Give Ally some assurance you'll be safe. I hope you also have emergency kits in all your cars.
Yes Sir your life is not something you buy at Low's. And you have a beautiful family who needs you.
Your snow looks so beautiful and so inviting as I am melting from the heat. Leo is just so cute and progressing so well. Enjoy your nice cold days.
Where are you that it is so warm? I am in Florida and it's only 72!
@@janicemcburney9420 72 sounds like heaven!
@@Kat00000 OMGosh 72 is Heaven! I live in Northern Arizona and SO done with the cold and the snow....bring on the flip flops and shorts!
@@bonnieteets8194 exactly! It's 30 and snowing where I am.
If I were Allie I'd be off to Hawaii! 🌴 Hoping she went!
I am in Western, Arizona going to miss these cool days in the 60s. Having a few days in the 70's, jumping up to the 80's and some 90's by April. Way too soon for 90's, I think we are going to have a really hot summernear the Colorado River.
YES ALLIE, go to Hawaii.
Was watching Trent blow all that snow and got a flashback of you guys in S. America.
Allie you need a WARM BREAK.
Can you imagine if this was the winter that hit when you were in the beginning stages (first year) of building and still living in the trailer? 😳 I would imagine you would've had to stay somewhere else until after winter. Big Bear California is just in shambles behind these storms! Stay safe! 🙏
There were many fun moments but Frank snuggling with the big stuffed animal was my favorite.
Yes get the pack!!! I agree with Allie. Better safe than sorry, Allie and Leo need you! ❤
19:41 aww Frank loves the plushie too!
Do it, get the pack. You can’t afford not to!! You have slot of people that love and depend on you!
Your videos are always a breath of fresh air and SOOO enjoyable. thank you.
Trent, in case of an emergency you should clear the snow away from the front door in case you have to leave the house through that door.
