The glories of HAGER FIKR Mahber.
The wonder boy Firew,who hasn't even reached a voice breaking age while singing this pleasant song , sounds more feminine than the woman singer.
The mellifluous quality of his voice would reflect his training in ecclesiastical setting.
In fact, he was a boy-deacon at Arada Giorgis church for sometime after he left his birth place of Tigrai for the capital.
Although I have always loved and admired the song particularly the nobility of its message, I have always puzzled over why a young boy of twelve or thirteen, rather than an adult of marriage age, would be chosen to convey the goodness of marriage!
