Thank you so much! Four years later and you are still helping. That has saved me many future hours of work compared to deleting the offending line, and stretching the other. This is especially annoying with structural members.
Try it... Insert a curve XYZ, create a new sketch and convert entity from this curve. after that do a split entities. It is impossible remove the point.
I have a closed spline with a line going through it. I would like to know how i can split the spline into two entities through the line? I can't use the split option as l wish to spilt it where the line coincides with the spline therefore the split option does not work. any suggestions?
Hello, I need help. My SW2016 does not support auto relations anymore or I've done something to disable it. I mean when drawing a line it doesnt auto align it vertically/ horizontally or for ex. at a 45 degree. I have to draw it and add this alignment. It is frustrating and slower to work like this. I can not even start from origin point and have to coincident with it to be centered.
Left click on one point, press and hold Ctrl, left click on the 2nd point and a menu box will appear. The merge icon is a point with two lines protruding from it.
Salma there is no merging icon. As long as two segments have a collinear relation, or two arcs have a coradial relation, you just need to select the point and press the "Delete" key.
Most frustrating $12,000 piece of software at times... so powerful, yet elusive at the most basic elements. How come connecting two simple sketch lines is so damn difficult??? Why is it not simply snap to merge? I mean, once that little orange dot appears and all the appropriate relation icons appear; they should be merged like that once I release the mouse button right??? If I don't want to merge, then I simply move the cursor to deselect the relations I don't want merged. That is common sense though. Programmers lack any kind of common sense, much less able to wipe their own ass without mommy help.
After 8 years from this video creation, this still remains an amazing tip. Thanks!

why if you draw 3 lines ending in the same point, there is an alarm using "fix sketch"?
does anyone know how to just merge 2 points? it's like nowhere online. this is beyond frustrating. where the hell is the hotkey reference...
he hits a button for it but doesn't say how that menu comes up or anything

may seem silly but how do you draw a line, then draw another unconnected one without going to the select tool before having to click on line again?
I can't believe I didn't know you could do this
Can 2 entities will be used or not?
Many thanks.
Super! Thanks!
Thank you!!
Thank you
A dislike for not saying how you get the merging option in the bar once you select the two points, I don't have it
