The song and the movie together speak a message that "to me" is beautiful. The song tells a story of someone trying to encourage their friend in the midst of hopelessness. This movie is one of my favorites because of the nuance of friendship and the meaning of life (suicide being a major theme and the inevitable consequence of true hopelessness). What "to me" truly separates humans from animals is the need for hope. We need to truly believe there is a future that is meaningful in some way. The song and movie emphasize this innate human desire to push through hardship toward a future where we believe life will get better. My faith is in Jesus to come back and redeem this broken world but for others it may be different. Anyway, the desire to push through is evidence to me that there truly is something worth striving for, even if it is not achievable in this life where death is the inevitability for everyone. What next: Live every moment in pursuit of true humility and submission to that which is greater than us (God, fate, etc.) never giving up on faith.

"feeling like the edge of this world is near" should have put the opening clip of him wanting to jump as the lyric implies that the world is edge (or end) of the world is almost near & he's also falling off the edge of the bridge. Edit: I think you handled that clip better at 2:05 where it says "I'm scared that you might fall" that was perfect!
