well tbf for how the series turned out...they poured a TON of resources into it back in the day. Lots of good sakuga all throughout the series, a ridiculous amount. Then the price for the BDs were, higher than regular BDs so that tanked sales in that aspect, and I don't think it attracted a ton of new manga readers either (unfortunately).

Even if that arson attack didn't happen last year, would take a miracle for s2 to still have come, considering how the anime failed as an advertisement for the manga & had super high BD prices. I don't think even the seiyuu's all banding together would've made a good enough case for KyoAni to ask a production committee to fund a season 2. Unless you know, they get a big shot like Mizuki Nana to sing OP or ED. Nana does print money like no tomorrow. Easy way to promo a concert w/ tickets sold bu ndled w/ BD copies of Nichijou (well at least the 1st volume...) But ofc w/ pandemic and audience size restrictions no way that minuscule thought of a miracle has a chance now.
