In the next video you’ll see why they couldn’t sell it. It’s been a real problem car that needed thousands spent on it. It has spent more time on my lift than on the road.
45k and they couldnt even replace the hatch and hood struts. or deal with the check engine light. or the wiper....what is the world coming to? i have a feeling you got shafted on this deal......its clearly been misrepresented.
RIght? I bought a 2005 back in January and the dealer was very honest about what they'd fixed and what they felt it needed. They knocked off some money because it needed valve cover and oil pan gaskets (neither were that bad) and the secondary cats were removed ($8000 if you got replacements from Chrysler, I chose to leave them be). It was also a Mamba edition which was a bonus. I felt like 42K was a pretty good deal.
Truth. I looked at 2 GMT800 Tahoes down there. One had a massive leak from the rear main. When I returned from the test drive and told the owner of the dealer he just stared blankly at me and said "Oh, we'll do an oil change on it" The other one was on eBay and the bidding got to high for me. It popped back up for sale about a month later in Ohio. I talked to the new owner. It had so many issues, including 2 break downs on the drive from Florida that the guy was selling it at a major loss just to be rid of it. It was only 3 hours from me, so I went to check it out. Had a bad misfire and went into limp mode while I was test driving it. A month later I ended up buying one in the Philly area and still have it two years later.
The car I regret selling most was my first car of my own. A nearly mint condition 1979 Oldsmobile Cutlass coupe. Triple black. Black paint with gold pinstripes, black interior with bucket seats and center console. Rally wheels. Original Tennessee car with 74k on the odometer. Looked new, ran so smooth and quiet. I sold her to buy a bmw. Just so I could have a chance to attract women. Lesson in life guys, do what you love, be who you are and if others do love you as you are, let ‘em kick rocks.
That's a good Start to something big Randy....big on repairs, big on audiences, big on income too!!!....no regrets really....we are with you all the way to the end 🎉😂😅
Must be a Saturday wiper thing Randy. The 14 Terrain I sold this morning I had to put wipers on it. You need to arbitrate that with ACV to see if they will reimburse you for undisclosed issues.
That's a bad ass ride Randy! I like it! From what I understand, some parts are getting hard to find and very expensive for those. The Car Wizard had one recently for a while. As long as you are happy with it, that's all that matters.
This is true. Chrysler tends to stop producing parts for vehicles that are out of production, particularly for those vehicles that were made in limited numbers. You'll find the parts fit into three basic categories: 1-A part shared with Ram trucks or other Chrysler vehicles, generally easy to find and inexpensive. 2-Wear parts or performance parts that are aftermarket, in some cases OEM . Generally available but sometimes have to be ordered, and there's a Viper tax. 3-OEM parts that are Viper-specific and generally unavailable. Your only route is NOS or used parts.
I had nitto invo tires, great tires that lasted a good while on the fronts that is lol, after 3-4 years the fronts started showing a small patch of wire
I am A fan of the Dodge Viper and have always loved the look and they have A huge aftermarket list for those to upgrade almost everything on It. Great purchase and great video man. Can't wait to see more on this car.
Hey Randy, I just got done watching your video on the Dodge Viper. I think you made a great purchase. Can’t wait to see more videos on this car. I hope you have a great time with it and like I said, I can’t wait to see whatever you have planned for it on your channel, so can’t wait to see your next video buddy. Talk to you later.
Always loved this gen Viper. The Corvette Z06 from 2006 made the same power with a 7.0 liter V8. I believe it was also cheaper back in the day but now the Viper might be the better deal.
I'm still drooling over the twin turbo Merc! There's a yellow one for sale,06,convertible low mileage.. I think they wanted 55 but it had a better shine to it. So easy to get frisky & you're swapping ends!
look at 15:40 ,you were at auto parts store , right there on their window ."check engine light" they will scan it for you ! right on the window. I know it makes for another video ,but you could have had a clue on the issue before driving it on the missing cylinders or reduced power and ordered the part while you were there. looks like a fun ride though! good luck!
Some time ago I went to my local dodge dealer they had a Viper ACR in the showroom. Wow what a machine, huge wing on the back, huge tires, splitter on the front had rods for adjustment, small winglets on the fender in front of the tires. 645 H/p. Boy racer machine to the max. I imagined trying to explain to a police officer, "it came this way from the factory" To this day it would be hard to find one for less than 150k
RANDY- WHEN I WAS BUILDING BIG HP ENGINES WE USED A LOT OF FULL FLOATING WRIST PINS! WHEN I HEARD THE NOISE YOU WERE DESCRIBING IT TOOK ME BACK TO YESTERYEAR! SLICK LOOKING CAR! GREAT CONTENT - KEEP THEM COMING! REALLY LIKE TO BE ABLE TO COME HERE AND GET A NEW SHOW ALMOST EVERYDAY- OTHER PLACES WILL LET YOU HANF FOR DAYS AND SOME OF THEM MONTHS! YOU AND MONKEY WRENCH MIKE HIT THE BUTTON FOR ME! LATER CHARLIE BASS SAN ANTONIO TEXAS!
A viper and was a excellent buy top muscle car great to bring to the channel, king of the super cars and Best color red. this better than a Corvette or next level.
This is probably best looking car that dodge made. Not your typical like corvette you see all the time! Great looking car with its own unique look and fan base. I know of only 2 in citrus County Florida they are rare ! You seem to enjoy this car ! Keep this one!
Vipers are definitely a Get in, Sit down, Strap in and Shut Up kinda ride!! They are just such a raw performance car with 0 Creature Comforts which is why I love them so much!
I've never really been a big fan of the Vipers. I don't have anything against them, I've just always been a Corvette fanatic since I was a kid, and I'm 62 years old now... That said, that really is a sharp looking car. I like the wheels. The first few years had some funky looking three spoke style wheels. I thought those were really ugly and looked cheap, but the car certainly wasn't... I do like the way they did the stacked small gauges on the dash and the white background. That's cool. I've never really cared for the sound of the V-10 engine or exhaust either. It's different.
I had a 3rd gen like this one a decade ago. Even back then getting rear tires was challenging/expensive at like $750 per rear tire. Maintenance wasn't that bad with just a strut tower starting to leak and had it fixed for $500 in parts (did a pair). Car I miss the most. Regret selling it.
These are so cool! Out of all the Mondial models, The T is the rarest, having only made 858 coupe, 1,017 cabriolet. Mondial qv are more common with 1,145 coupe, 629 cabriolet.
Fun fact: Jupiter Florida, Burt Reynolds home for years and years is located there. He loved that town. He also owned a lot of cars. Would be funny if it was his once. 🤘 Nice grab. Hope it works out well for ya.
If it was to me, I would keep it, you said it was one that you regretted selling and now you have another one, I say keep it, put the work into it, and have it be your personal Sunday driver, but whatever happens in the future is up to you, love the videos dude, I hope to see more weird vehicles in the future
I think you need to get a hold of the people you bought that from, since it wasn't on a red light. and had them kind of. give you some money back. or have it repaired like it was supposed to be.
That's on the low end for Gen 3 Vipers. Usually anything from that era under 40K is going to have a branded title, high mileage, or be a bit rough. As long as it doesn't have any serious issues Randy's got some room to turn a profit if he sells it. It's disappointing that the dealer didn't fix or disclose the details, though. I'm thinking that check engine light might be bad cats-it's a fairly common problem in an otherwise pretty reliable car. The OEM fix isn't cheap, but there are direct fit aftermarket converters for about $900. If they didn't fix the little things (wipers/struts) I'd be concerned about what else they let go.
Vipers are really reliable cars. The only problems I ran into is leaky power steering lines that I replaced with braided lines. Problem fixed. And door sagging that I fixed in a few minutes. Oh and also the gen 3-4 vipers have loud lifters. They sound like they are going out but that’s just the sound.
My biggest regret is selling my 1999 Mitsubishi Lancer coupe. Bought it new and sold it with 54,000 on the clock only. It was such a fun little car with heaps of power.
Our local Dodge dealer has an original Viper sitting on a pole in front of the dealership in Henderson, KY. It's got the convertible top on it, but covered in bird crap. I believe it only has a few hundred miles.
Vipers are cool - but I would have done the MondialT if it was a convertible. I think you'd get more views with a classic Ferrari - than a Viper, due to the rarity. The Ferrari can be a lot of fun - especially if you want to modify it. Don't get me wrong - the Viper is definitely cool.
My 2.5l In-line 6 ‘03 BMW 325xi gets attention like the viper does in my town and it isn’t the most comfortable ride either because it rides almost similar to a Viper but it is still fun to drive
I've always been a lover of Ferraris, but I can say with complete certainty that the performance on the Viper will absolutely blow away what you would have gotten with a Mondial T. When it comes to bang-for-the-buck, it's pretty tough to beat a Viper.
Maybe. But that generation isn't known for head gasket issues, and swollen hoses could just be factory hoses that are 20 years old and had a lot of heat cycles. These are known for killing catalytic converters though.
I'm surprised they couldn't sell that in jupiter! I work there and that place is full of money!
In the next video you’ll see why they couldn’t sell it. It’s been a real problem car that needed thousands spent on it. It has spent more time on my lift than on the road.
@AutoAuctionRebuilds oh OK! I was like jupiter is full of high income people, I see a lot of jags and other high end cars there.
Moar CONTENT!!😮
Hopefully it’s not money pit
Sharp looking VIPER 👍 curious to see why the engine light is on?????? Can’t wait to see more 💪
45k and they couldnt even replace the hatch and hood struts. or deal with the check engine light. or the wiper....what is the world coming to? i have a feeling you got shafted on this deal......its clearly been misrepresented.

Revving that motor. You trying to wake up the dead.
The joys of buying cars from Florida. They ALWAYS lie about condition there.
Truth. I looked at 2 GMT800 Tahoes down there. One had a massive leak from the rear main. When I returned from the test drive and told the owner of the dealer he just stared blankly at me and said "Oh, we'll do an oil change on it"

In 1990 @19 years old,I had a 77 cutlass ,350 rocket ,baby blue, saw blade rims ,white interior, bucket seats 5% tint.. o how I miss it...
Back in 1992 I drove a 19072 gold firebird with 10,000 original miles and it had a 400 cubic engine and it almost gave me whiplash.
The viper was my dream car in high school. Brings back memories
You need a Viper build on the channel! Wouldn’t that be fun?
please do another walk around then pick a project car
That 505 is for the cubic inches. Nice score! I picked up a 2005 Mamba Edition back in January and I'm enjoying it alot.
Around 17:00 you pull into the graveyard to wake the dead. Awesome ride Randy.
That's a bad ass ride Randy! I like it!

Those cars are so tricky man….keep up the great work randy we love it
I am A fan of the Dodge Viper and have always loved the look and they have A huge aftermarket list for those to upgrade almost everything on It. Great purchase and great video man. Can't wait to see more on this car.
Congrats Randy !! Glad you’re happy with the reunion 🙌🏽 great vids as always god bless. Keeping me motivated
That Viper is such a good deal Randy I can’t wait to see the videos on it. I’ve been waiting for you to buy another one
Hey Randy, I just got done watching your video on the Dodge Viper. I think you made a great purchase. Can’t wait to see more videos on this car. great video randy love the car you bought now
Nice car buddy! It'll be interesting to see what codes show up.
I know it makes for another video ,but you could have had a clue on the issue before driving it on the missing cylinders or reduced power and ordered the part while you were there.
looks like a fun ride though! good luck!
I have one. It sounds great and the oil temp, coolant temp and your battery is even really good.
You do a great job describing what it is like to own and drive a gen 3 and gen 4 viper.
Catching up on your content now. Great video.
Oh Randy that viper is absolutely gorgeous. I remember the other one and how nice that was. Really looking forward to all the videos of this one
Some time ago I went to my local dodge dealer they had a Viper ACR in the showroom. The Viper at the Graveyard, sounds dead to me!
RANDY- WHEN I WAS BUILDING BIG HP ENGINES WE USED A LOT OF FULL FLOATING WRIST PINS! WHEN I HEARD THE NOISE YOU WERE DESCRIBING IT TOOK ME BACK TO YESTERYEAR! SLICK LOOKING CAR! A viper and was a excellent buy top muscle car great to bring to the channel, king of the super cars and Best color red. this better than a Corvette or next level.
damn randy with your TH-cam titles, I watched to see if you got stranded. I was foiled! 🤣
This is probably best looking car that dodge made. Not your typical like corvette you see all the time! Great looking car with its own unique look and fan base. I know of only 2 in citrus County Florida they are rare ! You seem to enjoy this car ! Keep this one!

Couldn't agree more!
I've never really been a big fan of the Vipers. I don't have anything against them, I've just always been

39k 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Great job! I would love to have another Viper. It's time for people to really hold on to these cars.
What a fun looking car! Hope to see more of that one. Reminds me of the older Corvettes, more of the common person's sports car.
I'll be honest , I don't watch every video from you, but I tune in ones in a while. Love the new intro! Keep up the good work Randy!
Thanks!
I like your new intro Randy it's pretty cool. To name a car I regret selling is a 1968 Roadrunner that I had back when I was 17 years old
If it was to me, I would keep it, you said it was one that you regretted selling and now you have another one, I say keep it, put the work into it, and have it be your personal Sunday driver, but whatever happens in the future is up to you, love the videos dude, I hope to see more weird vehicles in the future
Is this model so handfull than previous ones, easy to lose control?
I love the Viper but you also had a few honorable mentions. My favorites were the 69 Chevelle SS, 87 Buick Grand National and the old 40 or so Chevy.
One of the first things I learned on your channel was to inspect the car in person.
was the check engine light extra?
I think you need to get a hold of the people you bought that from, since it wasn't on a red light. and had them kind of. give you some money back. or have it repaired like it was supposed to be.
lol good luck
Price is a little high but you love it's worth it. Enjoy Randy 😎😎👍👍

I am very glad that you bought the Viper. That Ferrari is funny looking.
You’re all Mopar now. I approve of this 😂
Few years ago he had 5 to 6 cars all mopar
If so he's a glutton for punishment.
I still have the Monte Carlo SS :)
@@AutoAuctionRebuilds with a 383 in it… Mopar displacement! Very suspicious 😂
LOL can't argue that!
My 08 bmw 335i fully modified and tuned is pushing almost 500 hp to the wheels.
Hey randy what's the outro song?
My biggest regret is selling my 1999 Mitsubishi Lancer coupe. Bought it new and sold it with 54,000 on the clock only. It was such a fun little car with heaps of power.
OMG!!!! If I’d found this viper, I would’ve jumped on it too!!!! I’m on the market looking for one in this exact same color
Nice looking car Randy.
The one i hated to sell was my 06 Charger SRT8. I vowed to get another one. Years later i got an 08 Charger SRT8. This one im keeping
You will need a new fuel filiter and check the timing elements.🙂
Our local Dodge dealer has an original Viper sitting on a pole in front of the dealership in Henderson, KY. It's got the convertible top on it, but covered in bird crap. I believe it only has a few hundred miles.
Is there a reason you leave it in first when stopping?
Lots of people park manual transmissions in gear. It's an extra safeguard against rolling away if the parking brake doesn't hold.
Awesome car and video!
I'm not a big Viper fan. That said I think you got a deal and will enjoy watching you sort it out.
Almost bought a viper in 2006 took it for test drive but honestly I bought the 2007 solstice instead. I comtemplated turbo but tired of it as well.
You got a good deal there Randy...Its in incredible shape for the year
I know everyone has their own choice. But I like corvette, you saw in previous episodes.
If I wasn’t 6’7”, I’d love to have a Viper. I have a QC Ram SRT-10 right now.
Great Viper! I would drive it all day! Thanks for showing it.
My 2.5l In-line 6 ‘03 BMW 325xi gets attention like the viper does in my town and it isn’t the most comfortable ride either because it rides almost similar to a Viper but it is still fun to drive
whats wrong with the rpm needle the moment you put down the pedal, the needle jumped 2-3 times in a strange way
it's at 11:19
I love your new intro randy
Fuel pump or fuel filter or both.👍🏿
Hell ya randy stepped his game alllllll the way up
Probably get over 100k views because it still is a fun car to us ✌️
Amazing car, will you try to keep it this time ?
Great deal Randy you chose the right car just keep it this time
Hi Randy nice Viper
Sounds different then my buddies Viper same year. That engine noise normal?
My last Viper sounded exactly the same. Viper tech at Dodge told me it's perfectly normal.
Love it Randy. Work on it and show us the content please
I own a 2005 Viper and a 2002 Ferrari 360. Both cool cars and totally different. But if I could only keep one, it would be the Viper!
SWEET ASS RIDE. CONGRATS.
Watch out Randy Neighbor might Rock u Bro !!! 🤠
they make kit for wiper you can just replace strip instead of whole wiper
So, the seat doesn't recline??
It does, but there's limited room to do it.
Those wipers look what modern car's have someone probably put an quick fit adaptor on
I have been looking at viper prices, an 39k sounds like an excellent deal to me.
Awesome car and video😎🔥
Was Thinking Did Randy Really Buy Another Kool Viper & Sure Enough U Have Great Buy For Under $40k
Randy, I hope you keep this one long-term
This is gonna be good. I always wanted one of these.
Great looking car. Just take the new rubber off the new wiper blades and just replace them, that is what I do all the time, saves a lot of money.
Man I love the Viper was hoping you'd get another one
Isn't 505 the cubic inch figure?
Have you priced the body panels for this car? They are crazy expensive. But its a much better choice than than the Ferrari mondial.
I’m a Corvette guy but the Viper seems like a fun car.
I've always been a lover of Ferraris, but I can say with complete certainty that the performance on the Viper will absolutely blow away what you would have gotten with a Mondial T. When it comes to bang-for-the-buck, it's pretty tough to beat a Viper.
Sold my first car 1979 pontiac formula firebird. 301 auto.. traded it for a 91 taurus sho.. man i miss the firebird
Hey Randy just replace the rubber. It a whole lot cheaper to do as long as the arm is in good condition.
Omg hope u didn’t get a lemon… between the check engine light and the swollen radiator hoses seems like a head gasket issue……..
Maybe. But that generation isn't known for head gasket issues, and swollen hoses could just be factory hoses that are 20 years old and had a lot of heat cycles. These are known for killing catalytic converters though.
