    Comments about some puzzles
*Puzzle 9, (Solved by "130 and above": th-cam.com/video/3-jYBs-fJTs/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=130andabove)
*Puzzle 12, After I put together the video, i realized that the red segment of the puzzle could have been product of some other action such as horizontal mirroring... You could still solve the puzzle by using the yellow segment of the puzzle.
    *Puzzle 22, Unable to solve
I will try to post a new video by tomorrow night :)

Although this might seem entirely based on intuition you can notice that for puzzle 9 that on each row 2 similar shapes repeat. And by looking at the 3rd row you would then know that the shape would have to re appear again and the only answer that allows that is D. The rule of the patterns in the first 2 rows that the same shape must repeat but shifted doesn't necessarily have to be true(since none of the solutions has that shape shifted) so if you were to accept that in each row the shape that repeats has 2 squares in it that switch(would explain why the red and black suddenly switch places and why in the first 2 rows it went unnoticed) places the only solution that makes sense would be D as none of the other answer choices has the 2 possible shapes in them.

Puzzle 22 is the amount of changes from the first figure to the second figure on each box per row. Changes are change in color, rotation, resizing. Each row it goes 1 change, 2 changes, 3 changes. B is the only one with 3 changes

When looking at the strategy in finding the answer that would fit logically with the sequence, I found it using the answer provided, the key is to see whether they repeat, if they do, then they are not right so therefore the answer shown was correct as it wasn't a repeat of before, when implementing the word repeat in this sentence, I mean the two shapes whether or not they are the same in the next box, sorry if my explanation is bad😀
I am referring to the last puzzle

Answer for 22 is b in my opinion. You have to ignore first row. In the second row you can see how the arrows if you apply them backwards from the last picture to the second picture they stretch out the shape in the direction of the arrows. So if you take 2 circles and stretch them out like the arrows show (the first arrow indicates squashing it not streching, simply because there is no answer provided for that option), you get the 2 eclipses. Everything else can be ignored I think.

Q22's pattern might be like this.
1.Each column and row have at least all red, yellow and blue(3 base colours of the nature that can create all other colours).
2.Rounded shapes only appeals at a turn that can be written as perfect square.
For example, blue circles appeal at 1st turn
    So 1=1^2
View green circles as 4th turn and 4=2^2
And finally we can view question mark part as 9th turn so
    9=3^2.
    3. I think the most important thing is
For each column, there is at least one pair that are in same shape but diff in size(i think green circle pairs are wrong as left one should be rotated 90deg and smaller), a pair having two shapes have same shape but right side is rotated 90deg and a pair in which one of a shape is upside down.
For example, in first column, 3rd row one shape upside down. In second column, 1st row one cube is upside down(it 3d and two cubes consist of same colours) and in third column, 2nd row follows it(view two squares as 3D but a paper that has two different colours).
I am really sorry for my explanation so bad as English is not my 1st language but Q 22 has a lot of patterns combined.
Plus I really enjoy watching your channel :)

I got finally answer to why 22 is B . So let's start analysing it ok? So no objects are repeating in a same . One may say what about arrows but look at there colour and directions anyways let's start cancelling options, it can't be C , D and F . Now let's look at E well e can't be because you are not rotating the dice, A well because again assuming same objects can't repeat in row.

      I think the [H, V, H + V, V + H] reasoning is good, even tho it eliminates the square.
Im not sure about the last step where you remove answer A. I get that the pair of images are not similar, however this could be true just by random chance and is not that solid of a pattern.

Item 22 is not so difficult but requires abstraction thinking.
Observe in each cell the number of modifications needed to convert first objet in second and you will have this matrix :
    1 - 3 - 2
    3 - 2 - 1
    2 - 1 - ?
So you need to select a cell where first object is transformed in second object by applying 3 modifications.
B is the right answer. The 3 modifications are size, color and orientation.

For question number 22: We go by each individual box. Going from the left shape to the right, the shape is only change in three ways: color, size, and rotation. So by rule of being the same shape then F is eliminated. Then answer E and A we can rule out because we already have information in boxes A2 and C2 that these shapes equal something else and E and A are not consistent with that. We also see in boxes B2 and B3 (letters are rows numbers are columns) that the outline of shapes stay the same and answer D is not consistent with that. That lives us with B and C but again in B1 the green arrow with red box is already equal to the black arrow point left with a yellow box so that is ruled out. That leaves us with answer choice B.

Let's analyze no.22. So in each of the 9 cells, there are 2 items. The rule is that any item in any cell cannot be exactly similar to any other item in any other cell and any two items in any cell shoukd have the same base shape. So by this rule, it can't be A because the first item of A is exactly similar to the first item of the bottom-middle cell. It can't be C because the 2nd item of c is exactly similar to the second item of the middle-right cell. It can't be D because the first item of D is exactly similar to the second item of the middle cell. It can't be E because the first item of E is exactly similar to the first item of the top-middle cell. Finally, it can't be F because the two items in F does not have the same base shape. So it's B. Hope it helps. I know that it may sound like a lame pattern but it's the only pattern I could figure out in the puzzle.

If you got all of them correct, I wouldn't say your IQ is 200 but more likely 160. There really isn't a whole lot of abstract thinking involved or any kind of thinking outside the ordinary to solve these, but just pattern recognition that is familiar to a lot of other tests. Tests above IQ 160 usually involve extra dimensional abstract thinking and are almost impossible to find on the internet.

Hey, for puzzle 9, the sequence goes by rows and the squares are moving through the diagonals. When they reach the end of a diagonal they appear on the next diagonal, like moving bishops in a chess board.
That gives you that the center square must be red. Then for the blue one it could be the top-center or right-center, since there's no blue top-center it must be D.

Puzzle 20 makes sense, including the second column, with the following logic. In the first row the box is moving clockwise while the other shapes are moving counterclockwise and the box covers a shape if it shares a position. In the second row the x and rectangle are moving clockwise and the other shapes are moving counterclockwise. In the third row, the shapes are all moving diagonally, but the box and the circle only move every other time and again the box covers a shape if it shares the same position.

20- . In the first row the box is moving clockwise while the other shapes are moving counterclockwise and the box covers a shape if it shares a position. in the second row, the shapes are reflected horizontally then vertically. Both of these are done at the same time in row 3, so from shape 1 to 2 the small shapes move counterclockwise and are flipped horizontally and from shape 2-3 they move one step counterclockwise again and are flipped vertically. Only D fulfils the result.

    Puzzle #13 An other solution???
You could also have said -> 14:21 The only difference between answer C and F are these 2 circles in the top right. Either they should be aligned by this line which points toward the center of the grid or the opposite from top left to bottom right.....
-> Because the lines in the squares alter each picture by 90 degrees pointing to the center the most logical explanation is that the circles also are on this same line pointing to the center: leaving picture C and not F as the correct answer.
But when I learned that picture F is the correct answer I just made up another explanation which could also be correct. Listen to the way how I concluded F was the right answer and how fast I moved on to nr #14.
Maybe I should let my girlfriend give the explanations. She talks like honey. What do you think?

Do the results on this Test give the True IQ, or at least close to the true value? I did it from the head without using paper and pen and my result is 148 IQ.
NOTE : I don't think such Tests measure IQ value, Because Intelligence is an innate "Constant", but what is asked in this question are Questions that can be made by Learning "Later".
It contains almost the same questions as the logic of many Mathematical questions proceeding through Pattern Recognition and Shape questions, but wait a minute, we describe intelligence as an innate constant, but these Questions can only Test "Education", not intelligence, because a person with good education but not intelligent can pass these tests higher. can achieve results. That's why this is one of the Vulnerabilities with IQ tests. Thanks
NOTE - II : The only thing that can measure intelligence is Sound Reasoning ability and Logic.

    Hi
For question number 9 we can use one of 3 shapes in a row as a function like f(x), one of them as x and one of them as an output of f(x) if I want to show it mathematically for example you imagine x/1+x^2 function you input 2 then you get 2/5 . In this example 2 is the second shape(I mean the big square) in a first row , x/1+x^2 is a first shape in a first row and 2/5 shape is third shape in first row .We have some rules for x and function . if we have an f(x) as a function it could be vertical like the second row , in shape number 2 or horizontal like the first row ,shape number 1 and we should notice to the other feature of f(x) which is being in the first row or column of the shape or being in second row or column . As we know that f(x) is dependent on x we do have some rules for x too for example for horizontal f(x) that is in a first row or column like the first shape in first row we must have the shape (as x ) that links to f(x) .to tell better if we attach them we will have a complete row or column plus a square above the middle small square like this _ _ -_ .
the first row function is to move along the lower diagonal as we can see. the second function that we have in second row is to move one square down as each small square . in a third row we have a mixture of the two others .vertical type of function plus being in a first column . so we should multiply their function. it means that we should go to the lower diagonal plus going one square down as each small square but we have difference in the third one. The attachment rule of the first row is not right here but if we rotate the first shape in the third row 180 degree. we can attach it to the second shape in a first row so if we consider the second shape in a third row as 90 degree counterclockwise rotation of the horizontal first shape in first row, we have the red color in the middle small square of the first row and the blue one on the right side as the first function . then we add second function so that every square comes one small square down so that we have answer D.
what do you think ? Please let me know if I could say it in a direct way

I almost always score within the 135-145 (SD-15) range, and have been curious to take an official proctored test battery in the near-future. I was wondering if you have taken any proctored tests and if so, how did they correlate to all of the computer tests you’ve taken? Thank you so much, keep up the work. For question 22, I also couldn't figure out a pattern rule: rotations or disproportion between similar figures, etc. But if the figure B is outlined by brown color ( maybe that's just my monitor ), then the matrix forms a pattern ( very tricky to percept ) where every new line introduces a color that doesn't exist in other lines. Maybe that's not a justification, but B is the single answer where this "pattern" ocurrers.

Para o número 22 você poderá encontrar as possíveis cores olhando na horizontal. Tem que somar 6 cores diferentes. Já as formas você obterá olhando na diagonal. Soma as formas (tem inversão). Espero ter ajudado!

My solution for 22: Every box have one pair of two figures. Lets see about the relationship between those figures. We can classify them into 3 types - stretching, flipping, 90degree rotating. Stretching types are 1st, 3rd, 9th. Flipping types are 2nd, 6th, 7th. Rotating types are 4th,5th,8th. Colors can show the potential possibility of flipping. And you can also tell the difference between answer B and D, because B is not only stretching type but also rotating type if you look closely at the line inside the ellipse. So I think D is the correct answer although I admit this solution didnt fully explain color patterns. I know you mentioned B is correct, but what do you think about this logic?

Hey Puzzles and Solutions! I have been watching your videos for quite some time! Great videos! It would be really great if you answer me two questions.
    1. Do you think these adult iq tests can accurately estimate iq accurately of a 13 year old like me ? In age adjusted tests I almost always score more than 140, but in these Mensa tests, I score 125-135.
    2. I could solve 27 out of 33 questions in the Mensa New Zealand iq test in my first attempt. Do you think I am just an average 13 year old ?

    • @rapha_720
      @rapha_720 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

13 years to 18 years won’t have a significant change in your iq, I would say max 5 points

Ok...sir thanks...after averaging the scores in the tests whose links I found in this channel, my iq was 134...So do my max iq probably is 140. Ok got it !
