Actually we learn a lot from mistakes and I thank you for sharing yours. I was wondering myself about this issue since I'm building a biodigestor and I'm glad I come across your video.
When you get all the air out keep the tub connect to digester and make the tub doesn't move. Put a T in the line going to compressor. Maybe a small compressor from a small AC window unit.
You could also put a check valve in the line. They are inexpensive to buy or easy to build. You would want one that will open when lines ate connected such as with hydraulic hoses
As far as I understand it, biodigesters start putting out carbon dioxide, and maybe another non-flammable gas when they first start up. You have to bleed that off for a while until the microbes really get going. I would suggest to empty the tube first, then disconnect the tube from the hose, and bleed off the pressure from the barrel every evening while seeing if it'll light. The Flames can be hard to see during the daytime sometimes. Once you have flame then go ahead and hook it all back up, and you should be good to go.
Also you need to empty your inner tube. Then roll it as tight as you can get it purging it, then when it's tightly rolled connect you line to it so it stays compressed, then you will have a evacuated container. You can then be sure the only thing in that tube is gas !!
At least you figured out what the issue was and how to fix it! I'm guessing you've got this under control by now ... time to look for your recent update!
Good video I understand it all... My suggestion is run your gas into another vertical tank . With a top valve and lower valve. This will allow for the methane to separate again. When you have pressure you can bleed the air out the bottom valve to bleed out the air and oxigyn... much like a. A sediment bowl on a gasoline tank.
We are researching biogas and successfully made a biogas plant or biodigester, the tire tube inflated but when we open the gas valve it only blow air and it just puts the fire out of my match sticks and lighter

I have my set up already but its not producing methane.... Im using pig manure.... What is the best thing to do for my digester to work properly?..... I hope my question will be answered.... Thanks
Man, you're hard to listen to! I appreciate your hands-on, sharing attitude but you should organize your thoughts better so you don't ramble on before finishing your point.
Couldn't agree more. Must have said this is the problem 6 times before actually stating the problem. Couldn't stand to listen all the way through, was doing my head in.
seriously, this 20 minute video contained about 4 minutes of info...good stuff, but make notes for yourself/rehearse next time so you don't repeat your point 17 times...3 is plenty.
Everything we do at home is a learning curve bro just you have shared your learning curve with us Thankyou bro. Question can you store it in to gas canisters like butane or propane if so how.
Modern Off Grid DIY ya welcome bro you do good work and it's appreciated, I like to learn at least one thing per day. And you have shown me two which is awesome 👍
I just shit it on the ground and let Mother Nature do it's thing. For cooking, I just use Propain! $20, 5 gallon propain take can last over a month. Low maintenance, and no problems.
Do you have a rough idea of how much gas you can make from food scraps? Like, 1kg of food scraps = 1 hour of medium flame? Also, can you make biogas from human waste from a composting toilet?
sugar, starch and fats works best than cow dung..40kg cow dung=1kg methane, about 30-40 days process..while 1kg of sugar=1kg of methane on a 1-2 days of process only.food waste.vegies scraps works best..potatoes etc..must be grinded well before putting in the digester..
+old time engineer yah that was the one thing I was worried about. But even if it did it's in a inner tube that can take some of the Force out of it, it's not like it's in a solid tank. Either way oxygen in the mix is not good. Everything is a learning experience.
+Petra Stryfe it's an open Schraeder valve so the 2nd I connect or disconnect it disengages the inner tubes Spring loaded Valve stem. So you are looking for a normally open
Man I REALLY appreciate that you are explaining your errors. That will help anyone who watches your video.
This is how we learn. Once you make a mistake you won't do it again lol. I have some new vids I'm filling my biogas bag right now.

Thank you for sharing this.... The video has been a great help to avoid the rookie mistakes.... All the best for your future endeavours....
Thank you for support glad you found the info useful.
I always feel you learn the most by doing and learning from what didn't work..it's experience. Not mstakes. You didn't fail you learned :-):-):-)
I agree

It's probably co2. Not air getting in. I have the same problem but the system doesn't take in air through the hose.
Tyre valve with pressure gauge that you use to inflate your car tyres on the end of the line. Might be the way to go.
Very useful information for makers.
Thumbs Up mate ! 🍻
Thank you brother for the support I do what i can when i can.
Modern Off Grid DIY
Thats the attitude we need.
A genius will never worship petroleum from governments ! 😉
+Anuruddha Thuduwawaththa Thank you for your support, Energy independence is the future.
Great
I would have done same mistake
Will make a small bio gas plant
Your videos will help a lot
Here we have a nice example of (measure once, cut twice)!
+Totoya Walala I would like to see your system
u should let the methane bled out of the hose before hooking up to the tube..
We are researching biogas and successfully made a biogas plant or biodigester, the tire tube inflated but when we open the gas valve it only blow air and it just puts the fire out of my match sticks and lighter

How to solve this problem sir....I have same problem blow air only...Plz solution this problem and ans to me sir
Get rid of the see thru tube all together connect straight to tire tube make hanger for tire tube
I have my set up already but its not producing methane.... Im using pig manure.... What is the best thing to do for my digester to work properly?..... I hope my question will be answered.... Thanks
I offer 1 on 1 help check the description for the link.
I have installed the biogas plant but the gas which is out it's putting off the fire 🔥 can u help us sir

Well I enjoyed listening to him anyway :)
Great video thanks for the in-depth break down
+Bob Newhart no problem hope it was helpful
Everything we do at home is a learning curve bro just you have shared your learning curve with us Thankyou bro.
Question can you store it in to gas canisters like butane or propane if so how.
Yes you can you have to compress the gas there is a couple of days of doing this. Thanks for the support
Modern Off Grid DIY ya welcome bro you do good work and it's appreciated, I like to learn at least one thing per day. And you have shown me two which is awesome 👍
Thats grate man, Im glad someone was able to get some info.. Thanks for the support
Hello I did mine but couldn't get gas yet and its over 3 weeks now . Can u plz be of help to suggest what I should do ?
Did'nt you encounter problem with Carbon Dioxide gas???
How often should we change the water in the water filter?
what is the specific size of the on and off valve and tube/hose?
Thank u bro
I just shit it on the ground and let Mother Nature do it's thing.
For cooking, I just use Propain! $20, 5 gallon propain take can last over a month.
Low maintenance, and no problems.
Oxygen in the water should be using steal wool
Do you have a rough idea of how much gas you can make from food scraps? Like, 1kg of food scraps = 1 hour of medium flame? Also, can you make biogas from human waste from a composting toilet?
+Slick Tires I'm building a bigger biogas digester check out my other videos

"Match in the gas tank... boom boom."
Can we use charcoal to remove carbon from Biogas?
Pressure is same. Move pakadge
Brilliant thank you im just about to start doing this on my allotment.
At least it did not explode we can all learn even when old

What is the name of that valve stem adapter?
+Petra Stryfe it's an open Schraeder valve so the 2nd I connect or disconnect it disengages the inner tubes Spring loaded Valve stem. So you are looking for a normally open
Thank you very much. I'm learning alot from your trouble shooting!
with alcohol fires the flame is sometimes clear
can u turn on subtitle please i cant speak english as good
Subtitle are on. I will check again for you. all my vids have subtitles.
Sitinurlaila Azizah est-ce que vous parlez en français?
Sorry mistake...
got say if it blew up the tube it would be great? not. I bet it add a new flavor to food? happy holiday and stop huffing the gas!
+crazy eddy there would no added flavor to food it's just gas to cook with. Huffing lol no way.
u hv lot of co2 not oxygen or air.
You talk too much
