That is cool! You have to match the channels with both devices. Like if your game systems were to operate on channel 3, then your VCR has to be set to channel 3. Otherwise you won't be able to record game footage. Sorry you've been having trouble with game recording.
Thanks, this helped a good amount. I'm also trying to record games onto vhs but i'll be doing SNES. Very excited to try this i just gotta buy a coaxel cable
Just to clarify... When connecting the VCR to the T.V., you connect through the output ports on both the VCR and T.V)? Then, when connecting the gaming console to the VCR, you connect through the input port?
Then if that's the case, an easy solution is to just use a coaxial cord for the VCR, and buy an RF adapter for your console. Hope this answered your question!
If that's the case then your VCR is an older model than mine. Mine is from '98. I don't know how you could resolve that issue. Do you happen to have the manual for the VCR?
Hi, I'm using a Toshiba VCR, when I plug my PS2 in the SCART input (since it doesn't have any other inputs) with a composite to SCART adapter, it works but the image looks like an old ruined VHS. Is this normal?
@@kris_1491 like making sure the adapter is plugged into the VCR all the way, or the connector doesn't have a bunch of dust on it or anything that would cause poor picture quality.
Hmm.. sorry to hear that. Try making sure the cables are plugged in securely and see if that helps. If not then your VCR may not be on the same channel as your TV.
Thanks bro. My brother wanted to hook up his saturn on our old tv and now he can thanks to your video
Glad to hear the video helped you guys out!
It really comes in handy doing it this way .works for me.
Glad to hear!
Helped a lot. Thank you
No prob!
My CRT has an Game Input channel for composite devices and so far I can't figure out how to get a VCR and PS2 to display/record at once.

If you watch the video again it will help because I honestly couldn't explain it well on here haha.
what if the tv is so old it doesn't have composite? my tv is from 1984

Hey man I got a question I have no remote to my VCR and my VCR does not have a menu button so how can I resolve this

@@SPIDER-ut3wt nope lol
@@SPIDER-ut3wt but it's all good I fixed the issue, I did a channel search
I’m trying to record PlayStation 2 gameplay onto a VHS, but this tutorial does not to show how to do that. Could you please help me?

Oh, well I'm sorry I don't know anything about SCART connections. That could be that's just the way the image will look, or maybe it needs tweaking.
@@SPIDER-ut3wt What do you mean tweaking?
@@kris_1491 like making sure the adapter is plugged into the VCR all the way, or the connector doesn't have a bunch of dust on it or anything that would cause poor picture quality.
@@SPIDER-ut3wt Thank you, I'll try a soon as I got time
@@kris_1491 No prob!
Thanks
Sure thing!
if a vcr only has an av out then is that how you connect the vcr to the tv?
@Pokenerd I believe that is how that would work yes.
Will this work if I wanted to record broadband tv on to a vhs?
@2WavyBuckets I believe that it would work. I've only recorded TV onto a tape once, but making sure the VCR and the TV are on the same channel is key.
im trying this with a ps3, i have the cable in the back of my tv and the cable in the in part of my VCR, it wont work
Hmm.. sorry to hear that. Try making sure the cables are plugged in securely and see if that helps. If not then your VCR may not be on the same channel as your TV.
thx
