- Metallica - Seek And Destroy.. Enjoy ;)
Starting counter probably isn't in right BPM, but song is :)
Others backing tracks:
The Call of Ktulu - only drums : • The Call Of Ktulu - Me...
Remarkable how syncopated Cliff's lines are, and how we can't hear any of it on the studio track.
I can totally hear him on records :)
You must be deaf, because cliff is very loud on the record
@@Samford_ @Richard Tomáš I stand by my comments. My comments weren't about the bass mix (of the Cliff records, Kill Em All has the most pronounced bass), but about how we still can't hear Cliff's syncopated finesse work in any case. Cliff is doing so much fancy stuff that gets buried in the mix.
@@Samford_ yeah you can definitely hear it, but you can’t sit back and actually enjoy the peace of music with all the other stuff going on, that’s why stuff like this helps us understand how and why he did things

I never noticed those distorted bits in the mix freakn awesome.
MAESTRO CLIFF BURTON
Bass is awesome
Wunderfull
is this actually cliff playing?
Yep, you can tell by him being slightly late with the timing and random bullshit he throws into the riffs. Not in a bad way tho, that's what makes his tracks feel so natural.
@@ulasgursoy2838 why is he a little late
@@samvelasco9231 Most of the track is fine, there are minor timing issues here and there and that's probably because they didn't use a metronome when recording.
@@ulasgursoy2838 cool thanks
For using his fingers to play back in the 80s in metal was something u didnt see too many bass players doing at the time in this genre, I guess to keep up with the tempo and usually the open drone strumming on the low E open was prolly easier with pick...but I played bass with my fingers ,mainly learning cliffs bass riffs and playing along to my Metallica albums
But I thought he had phenomenal timing, I wanna say that's one thing he was well know for was his timing and rhythm and his bass fills that almost seemed like he was playing lead guitar. I always thought he had amazing timing.
Oh yeah tu gères man grâce à toi un pote en soirée ma pas fait chier
drums too !
thanks man!
Sounds too clean to be Cliff
Welp it is.

Hi. Whats the brand of strings that Cliff is using? Thanks
Rottosound rs66lb stainless steel 35-90 bass strings. Hope this helps
Four Horsemen please!
***** He probably *can't* upload a Four Horsemen version of this. Most of these bass only/drums only etc. versions of songs around TH-cam are created by using the multi tracks from the Guitar Hero/Rock Band videogames. The Four Horsemen doesn't appear in these games.
***** Hi, i can try to create own version of Four Horseman, like here th-cam.com/video/obD_Ew-Oj-s/w-d-xo.html but also bass will be included.

I think they're off juusssst slightly
Cliff is slightly off but he does on purpose
Sam Velasco You think?
Cliff knew when to play behind the beat for a fatter feel... and when to be on top of the beat for a punchy feel.
bass too loud
Never too loud
metallica fan 06 correct
blasphemy
Go home Lars.
Actually McGovney write this xd
McGovney didn't write anything for Metallica
Actually yeah McGovney wrote some stuff for Metallica but almost none of it was kept since Cliff got in the band
Govney wasn't that good. Nothing against his playing, he was just the first and best bassist James knew.
too much volume to bass, this is a bass cover
Cliff can’t cover his own bassline like what?
You are Lars
