Sad that injuries stopped him from achieving his full potential - only one grand slam final doesn’t do justice to his talent and great attitude. Hopefully he can have one final strong run before retirement.

I love Kei, an awesome and underrated player. He had one of the best backhands on tour, and was a very persistent (yet kind) player. His only weakness was his physicality, he didn't perform too well in 5 setters or in Slams that required many long matches.

The spectator lady with shades and black hair seated center at 2:01 either wasnt paying attention to rally or missed that the net cord happened; either way that she was nervous or surprised when the crowd oohed and aahed on the net cord that she turned around and missed the finish drop shot.

I hope, despite coming back in 2023 after some injuries, he gets back to full fitness and playing (enjoying) his tennis again. Such a talent.

Nishikori actually has one of the highest 5 set win rates. It’s quite interesting. Maybe his clutch gene is stronger than his weak physicality?

個人的に錦織の戦績ですごいと感じるのは、ディミトロフを５勝１敗と圧倒していることと、クレーシーズン勝率が全サーフェスで一番良いということ。どちらも非常に高いテニスIQとフィジカル＆ショットを持っていなければ到底なし得ない。もちろんビッグ４在籍時にランク４位に上り詰めたこと、何度もツアーファイナルに出場したことも信じられない快挙。歴代のアジア最高のスポーツマンの一人だと思うし、私の在命中に彼を超えるテニス選手は東アジアから現れないのではないか。
