    Love it! Looks like you had a blast! I'm glad you were able to document your travels throughout Europe, I was lucky enough to do the same this summer! I know all the hard work you must have put into filming & editing this. Where are you off to next!?

    Last time I took train to and from Kobenhavn it was via the causeway and tunnel thru Odense and Jutland. I was headed to Bordeaux. Used the night train both ways. What a pleasure..

    If you don't mind the cold, damp weather, go to Europe in late October or early November, the tourist are not so plentiful then.

    Thanks for a very interesting video, and the lovely, peaceful music you put with it. Despite the fact that trains will no longer use the ship after next month, I'm still tempted to go this way if I go from Berlin and Hamburg up to Copenhagen on the final leg of my UK and Europe trip next year.

      Glad I did it before they stopped using it! what is the alternative route?

    • @tobys_transport_videos

      There's a new bridge I found on Google Maps. Hopefully this link works out for you. All I did was put in "Hamburg, Germany, to Copenhagen, Denmark, as my start and finish points, and select "train" as my method of travel.

      Cool..I read about a possible tunnel a while back so will check this bridge thing our. Thanks for the info. :-)

      the tunnel is a different story -- most likely, routes involving a bridge run via Odense and the Storebaeltsbridge, shown here: th-cam.com/video/TEy7c2E0zeI/w-d-xo.htmlm43s

      DC4916 Productions:
      No, the ferry service will continue some years. May be you are talking about the alternative route from Hamburg via Jutland?
      The connection between Femern (Fehmarn in German) and Lolland in Denmark via tunnel (not bridge) will not be opened for several years to go.
      So believe me, you can use the ferry train from Hamburg to Copenhagen in all 2018. :-)

    In North America they say "I had no idea trains can go this fast!" In Canada and Mexico not only in the US but the whole Continent

    is that journeys with all type of train ??? or just with ICE Train ????
    I bought my Tickets with EC train ???

    • @EuropebyTrain
      @EuropebyTrain  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure..Think its just the ICE train

    • @andrewsebastianrothgarnant350
      @andrewsebastianrothgarnant350 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It´s the same! The only difference between the ICE and EC trains on that route is the type of train. Trains branded as "ICE" are operated by German ICE-TD trainsets and "EC/EuroCity" are operated by Danish IC3 trains

    train on ferry has a long history in Denmark, due to Denmark's geography of being scattered across numerous islands. Most smaller local ferries in the country, including this one th-cam.com/video/36R7z9GrPZM/w-d-xo.html between the islands of Fyn and Als, still have the rails on their lower decks (even if unused lately). The Oeresund ferry from Helsingør to Helsingborg is among them, too!
