I bought this on Amazon recently for $379 along with the piano foldable x stand for $35. I bought the coda stationary stand first. I didn’t realize that Coda was a model of Piano that Alesia sells, and it is NOT a fancy word for “stationary piano stand” hahaha so it did not fit my piano properly. It did fit on top of it symmetrically, but it didn’t align with the screw holes on the bottom of the piano for docking. I was fortunate to be able to spend the money on an expensive starter piano. I would highly recommend this set up. It looks beautiful and the speakers do produce a high quality sound.
I just purchased this keyboard yesterdayit should arrive Friday. I'm very happy even more now that I watched your review. Thank you so much. I have wanted to learn to play piano
Thanks for doing such a detailed review! I've been playing piano for over half my life and now that I'm having to think about moving out I've been looking for good keyboards within my savings(/parent given) range that Won't leave me completely broke. I'm going to miss the family's $1200 electric Yamaha and playing on my teacher's grand, but this should ease the homesickness. Seriously, thank you for the review and helping me come to a decision! :)
I have a yamaha and the plastic noise in it is very high. You'll hear it in yamaha until the volume is full (which hurts my ears) and I have to wear headphones eventually
I have the non-pro version and the key noise is terrible. The whites sound quite plasticy and the blacks even squeak like a rusty hinge. Then again it's a cheap buy so you can't expect much for the price.
Good review! and good demo of the various sounds. Just to add to what you were saying about the lineout outputs; if you just use the left output, you get mono rather than stereo (everything coming out of both left and right rather than any split or pan between left and right). In most venues - like pubs, clubs and churches - a mono output plugged into the PA is fine!
That sounds nicer than the first video where you could hear the keys making a noise .is that how it sounds or have you done something so you don't hear the loud key sounds
Thank you! I recently bought a Recital Pro because of your Review. It sounds good with the Speakers, but awesome with Headphones. What are your favorite Piano settings for EQ, Chorus, Reverb, Modulation (Tremolo) and Pedal Resonance?
Thank you for this. Informational and enjoyable. I started learning piano in May and bought this (portable) keyboard in July. I found your video when I was searching for "how to modify settings (the numbers that are preset) on Alesis for different sound." (Many variations of this, as well.) Maybe you can help me with something? When I adjust the Upper Volume and Lower Volume, nothing really seems to change. I am finding that my left hand (I had a stroke) plays louder than my right even when I try to touch the keys more lightly. I can turn the Lower Volume down as low as possible and am unable to discern any difference than when both are the same number. Am I misinterpreting what this means, or is my ear just not mature enough to hear the contrast? Any hints on how to make adjustments? Thanks if you're able.
friend, what is the polarity of the alesis recital pro for a sustain pedal? no or cc, if I put no the piano gets very hot. So I don't understand what it could be.
Hello! Which do they recommend to buy. The Casio PX 160 or this Alesia Recital Pro piano? I am a beginner, who does not know anything about pianos. Thank you so much!
Thanks for your honest opinion. I have a one question if is possible to connect ipad with some piano app and play it directly to this keyboard with internal speakers ? Would be great if you could let me know. Regards
Dariusz Lis I’m not quite sure what you mean, are you asking if you can pump a different audio source into the keyboard so you can play along with a music track? If so the answer is no
Its not graded though i think..... Its hammer action as it was putted in the box but whenever i press the High pitch keys its like they arent that heavy...
Hi, What do I need to get exactly if I would like to record digitally from the computer and from the microphone what I play? I literally have no clue, and I would love to do it so record doesn't have the hammer sounds in it. I only have a laptop. I prefer this video rather than the other one that was made for this piano. Thank you for making it, it feels more detailed and slower :)
Check and see if your laptop has a “line in” input. It will look just like a headphone jack but it basically like an aux input that a car would have to play music into. Let me know if it has that
If you want a lot of different sounds, then no, UNLESS you have a MIDI device to plug it into. But if you just want a keyboard on its own, this one limits you to very few sounds.
I get some noise ( when I do line recording ). Did any one else face this issue . I am using Apogee duet 2. Guitar line recording is ok . Wondering if my unit is defective 😔
Thanks for the video. Not sure if I missed it, but can you speak to its use as a keyboard controller? Is it fully compatible with virtual instruments, ProTools, and GarageBand (for range)? And can that value be used to control virtual synths or DAWs?
Does this have strike sensitive keys? (am I asking that correctly? ) As in, if you strike the keys hard or soft do they respond with the correct 'realistic' pitch, tone, and intensity?
If you plug into a MIDI device, the sounds of your actual keyboard come out of the speakers. If you want to hear the MIDI sounds, you would need to plug your headphones into the computer or MIDI generator you are using.
Indie Music Minute actually it can..been to a music shop these few days...most keyboards or digital piano has a local on off system..i tried 5 keyboards and 5 digital piano...the sounds from the computer can come out from the keyboard or digital piano speakers itself..jus off the local and you’re good to go
The funny thing is, when you listen to this video with headphones, the sound is the wrong way round, so you hear the highs on the right and the bass on the left.. :) kind a like this though
Nice video content! Sorry for chiming in, I would appreciate your thoughts. Have you ever tried - Riddleagan Possessing Piano Remedy (Sure I saw it on Google)? It is a great one off guide for learning how to play the piano easily without the hard work. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my mate after a lifetime of fighting got amazing success with it.
Man! Listening to that piano version of "Creep" nearly brought me to tears.
Thank you for this! I've been thinking about upgrading to this recently so perfect timing for you to release this ha
Thank you, this helped tremendously and answered so many of my questions. I really enjoyed hearing you play too. Beautiful!!

Thanks for the great review. I like your style of review. Definitely helpful in the buy decision!
Please compare this with Yamaha p125 and p45 in terms of key action and piano sound..
This is great! I'm definitely getting one of these for my thinking shed!
Hello! Did u buy this? What is ur opinion?
More keyboard reviews like this please and add pros and cons
I love it when you play :) very full of wonder
Thank's for the video! Do the keys make a clicking (plastic-ish) sound when pressing them ?
From the other videos I've seen, there is a substantial key noise, but if you wear headphones, it's a bit minimized.
I have a yamaha and the plastic noise in it is very high. You'll hear it in yamaha until the volume is full (which hurts my ears) and I have to wear headphones eventually
No the alesis keyboards have little key noise
I have the non-pro version and the key noise is terrible. The whites sound quite plasticy and the blacks even squeak like a rusty hinge. Then again it's a cheap buy so you can't expect much for the price.
Thank you so much for this video helps me alot
Really cool demo, thanks man!
I'm surprised you didn't demonstrate the ability to layer. The strings mixed with piano is fantastic!

Thank you so much for this review. I've been looking at a lot of digital pianos to get and this has been really helpful
did you but it?

For some reason I love the bright piano.. Haha..

Thank you so much for this video!!!
Do you see any disavantage on this keyboard?
What song did he played around 9:18? I've been looking for that tune for 1 year huhu
Bach: Prelude in C Major
when he played the strings i felt like i was entering narnia
Close! Game of Thrones.

I was charmed by your demo. Thank you.
It helped me and solved the choice of my purchase. :)

I think he’s talking about those apps where you can get different sounds and tones from
Does it have graded hammer action?
Its not graded though i think.....
Its hammer action as it was putted in the box but whenever i press the High pitch keys its like they arent that heavy...
@@HayatoChannel22 Thanks for letting me know
Do the keys click a bit when you press them w the keyboard sound off?
Hello about the materials of the keys that are?
Thank
Great demo! Great sounding keyboard. I make take back the Casio I bought (at twice the price) for this one.
I would
Hy!
And during recording, do we hear now the speakers or it is connected to computer?
Best review ever!

Disappointed that I didn't see him combine strings and piano. If he did, I'm disappointed that I'm adhd.
What are the headphones for if you’re using the speakers ?
Are you able to change the tuning of the keyboard easily?
Hello! im looking for a digital piano with a lot of different sounds, do you think this is good? or theres also better for higher price?

I am using the L-for MONO socket. I assume it should have the complete sound
whats song on 8:02
Dj Sky redbone by childish gambino
How does the keybed feel compared to a real piano or a synth keyboard. Thanks much! :)
I heard that this piano is quiet and the keys are very loud, is this true?
I hzve one! Is great! The only thing is the EP sound dont sound good for me!
8:02 what song is that
Redbone by Childish Gambino
Ok I bought one! What headphones do you have? I will need a comfortable pair for night playing.
Please, tell me. Is the sound so bad? Thanksss!
Which ones did you get ?
@@benallmark9671 I did not like Sennheisers so I kept my Sony V6’s.
Hello, does this have support for usb audio out aside from the midi out that you mentioned? Thanks in advance!
Yamaha np-32 won't be better?
Can I connect speakers to this?
Thanks for the video. Not sure if I missed it, but can you speak to its use as a keyboard controller? Is it fully compatible with virtual instruments, ProTools, and GarageBand (for range)? And can that value be used to control virtual synths or DAWs?
Yes! It plugs into a USB port and works as a MIDI controller, which is compatible for any DAW
what software did you use to record this
This is great! How did you make your intro and logo, it’s so cool!
I made it in Photoshop! I can make ya one if you want!
Ok, no worries you don’t have to but thanks for offering! Just wondering for the future!
Does this have strike sensitive keys? (am I asking that correctly? ) As in, if you strike the keys hard or soft do they respond with the correct 'realistic' pitch, tone, and intensity?
Anthony Maduri yes! A very great spectrum of intensities too.
When i use midi plugins..can the sounds come out from the keyboard speakers itself or have to use external speakers??
If you plug into a MIDI device, the sounds of your actual keyboard come out of the speakers. If you want to hear the MIDI sounds, you would need to plug your headphones into the computer or MIDI generator you are using.

please, what''s the song at 0:50 ?
Sounds like a piano version of creep, I only know the song from Radiohead but they might not be the original artist
is a piano arrangement of Creep - Radiohead
What is the very first song you’re playing in the opening?
Radiohead’s “Creep”
Howard Shore - Concerning Hobbits
The funny thing is, when you listen to this video with headphones, the sound is the wrong way round, so you hear the highs on the right and the bass on the left.. :) kind a like this though
That’s interesting; I always mix drums from the drummers perspective too but the audience is would be hearing it flipped
Aren't the highs ment to come through on the right like on piano
I really enjoyed playing Yamaha piano and write the lyrics from my tablet.
Why cause they hide... subliminal Image over 10'35 ???

Ah the shire
Am selling my top of the range yamaha grand, I will get this sounds better, who would think 🤔 a £300 piano would sound better than my wee yammy
