Australia is big enough, mature enough, confident enough, to stand on their own feet in dealing with the US and China relationship.

What a load of crap!!! Our healthcare system which is the most important is failing us!!! People are allowing their health to decline because they cannot afford a doctor and the ED is a wait of 6+hours before you get to see a doctor. For a country like Australia it is absolutely disgraceful!!!

If they knew what people were going though, they'd be rushing through rental relief in some way before they go and spend xmas at their Copacabana beach houses, rather than banning social media for under 18s in the last week of Parliament

Allowing people to access 40% of their superannuation to purchase property will only boost prices higher.

    Q&A is a hard watch.
Part of legacy media that is fast disappearing because it is so predictable and vacuous.
PK is a puddle deep moderator that’s ’high on her on supply’.
A panel of predictable talking heads with no real life experience.
    Lecturing the unwashed.
Seriously!!! We just have to be patient to see all is well and to stop believing your lying eyes!!!
    Things really are good.
Both parties are out of touch and look after the rich and big business.

Productivity has outstripped compensation tenfold for decades. Want to dress a productivity crisis? Address, in retrospect, the compensation crisis for the populace. Comments on the unbelievable nature of toll expenses etc? You privatized infrastructure. Those costs are on the government and the government alone.

Complexity of our exports is lacking because we ship our raw materials overseas and they do the value add. It's not that we export too much iron ore but we don't do more than dig it up whereas we could value add by turning raw materials into products.

Steve Keen is a joke, MMT puppet that thinks the government handing out cash fixes everything, no that's what caused the inflation that got us in this mess.

These polls they conduct have ~1500 votes out of 27 million Australians. Stop saying that this is how "Australians feel"

    • @kongking5048
      @kongking5048 3 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

You can't ask all 27 millions of australians. It is not the way how works. Polls is the only way to conduct the study. It may not right all the time, but the only way to do it.

@@L9MN4sTCUk More like 740K this year. But most, about three out of four, are temporary, mostly students who return home after 2 to 5 years. It's hard to find stats for departures, but it's safe to say around the same number leave each year give or take. When or if the student caps go into law the number of new international students will drop down to about 270K. Dropping by 30% on last years numbers. Even Dutton said "Whoa, steady on. Let's not get carried away!" 😲I guess he only wants to kick out the scruffy ones. There are 185K on permanent visa places for 2024-2025. Lets see if I get censored.🤞🤞

About building more houses, whoever is against building more houses is serving the interest groups which is 60% of Australians who own a home. But those of us 40% who don't have a home can't get it. See you later. That's the country we live in where 60% mean more than the 40. We need to build 500,000 homes a year Or more. To total joke for 20+ years. Everyone's greedy thinking about their own benefits rather than the common good. That's why our country is behind. Look at Scandinavian countries. They are doing a lot better with housing. By the way, it's not just women that are the disadvantaged, but a political focus is just women. Hey, men also have problems and they end up in difficult financial situations and struggling to get a home!

I think mature age workers such as pensioners (baby boomers) should re-enter the workforce
and lift up the income threshold before the pension is affected
