Before getting into kpop recently, I only listened to metal and rock, ll the old bands and would be very elitist when it came to music. When I began to like kpop i first felt ashamed but i have grown out of that. Liking kpop doesnt diminuish or invalidate my love for rock or metal in the slightest.

If it makes you feel better, kpop was invented by a metal musician named Seo Taiji. He and his group Seo and Boys were the 1st band to be called kpop and they made alternative metal and nu metal music.
