- I get so many questions about my wedding ring and how I clean it! This is my simple DIY jewelry cleaner. Also, join me as I purge and organize my jewelry collection in today's video.
Disclaimer: I've only used this jewelry cleaning recipe on real platinum and gold jewelry pieces. I've never tested it on costume jewelry or silver, so I would recommend spot testing before using on costume or silver pieces as I don't know how they will turn out.

Tried out the jewelry cleaner on my pandora rings and it didn’t work. The stones were shiny but the bands look so tarnished now. So disappointed 😢 still love you though

Jewelry cleaning is SO hard. SO excited to try this. I use peroxide on my wedding ring all the time but never with dish soap. Can't wait :)

Wow Angela your so organised you put me to shame. Thats one jewelry box , chest of draws. Your jewelry has its own home. . The three month rule is great for a lot of things. If i havent worn , used it within 3 months its gone. We recently moved so we did trailer loads of stuff. Amazing what you collect and dont use. Oh no you need to find pops pen . Your little girl is so gorgeous. Treasure these times it goes so quick. Do you a closet purge. That will be fun to watch. Jewelry cleaner👌 . I use washing up liquid and tonic water! I put my rings in a little dish and let it fizz away! I live in the UK!
And I use a soft toothbrush to get in the claws :)

This is a great video! A clean with me but still an extremely original take on it! You are very creative! Love that!! Have you ever tried windex? I have not personally tried it but my aunt says it’s good “ in a pinch” 🤣
I used to use windex but I like this version better.

Do the sides of your jewelry box open up for necklaces? I noticed knobs that weren't on a drawer so it seems like it should. It would keep your necklaces from getting all tangled in a drawer, and keep the more delicate pieces out of Kenny girl's hands.
I also use Dawn for my wedding rings, it does such a good job! Do you have any suggestions for tarnished silver? I have the prettiest earrings that are tarnished, but they also have created gems in them and I'm afraid to put them in a cleaning solution.
Is this only for real gold & silver or sterling silver too?

Another way to clean your jewelry is denture cleaner. The kind you drop in a glass and it fizzles. I have been using it for years and years. You can use it on any type of jewelry.

My daughter does the same thing I have an ikea tower thing I use as a jewelry and sunglasses storage and I have my necklaces hanging on the side big mistake!!
How do you keep your chains from all knotting together? I swear little gnomes live amongst my jewelry having a Mayday celebration with my necklaces on the maypole. PS. I think I need 4 of those jewelry boxes. I’m a hoarder and someone of my stuff was my mothers and grandmothers. My rule of thumb, I have no hard fast rules other than like with like. I had lots of cool pieces walk from my daughter when was a teen from Betsy, Fossil, Lucky but I have a brain injury and a lot- I was working the costume jewelry counter at Macy’s for years. I either should purge or use some of it in abstract art
Sometimes mine do get tangled too. I use a needle or straight pin to get knots out.

I haven't tried it on costume so maybe just test it first.
I tested it on costume jewelry and turns out hydrogen peroxide is a BIG no-no for anything with sterling silver in it. Turned everything a very ruddy grayish 👎🏻 Works fabulously on white and yellow gold though!

Better yet, I’ve heard this very old myth that eventually there’s a mysterious being called a “man interested in me”, we’ll get to know each other, have laughs, probably fights too...then he does this ritual passed down from generations where he’s nervous and chatty as my cat, then proceeds to ask me a question, if I say yes, I am awarded with a ring? Hahahahaha Sorry. 😂 hahahahaha I HAD TOO! You and Matt don’t happen to have any late 20 something 30 something friends do ya!
Ooooo! I never wear these, but I have two heirlooms, one is a spoon ring made from an actual spoon! I’ll give it to my daughter or granddaughter someday at the age of twelve! And, YOU SAID COSTUME JEWELRY! When my sweet sassy Mam-ma passed away, we got to clean out her jewelry box. I have a full crystal cat eye wreath with matching earrings! You best believe along with the emerald engagement ring I want hahahahaha, that wreath is going on my neck! I’ll have to try to take a picture of it!! 🥰🥰🥰 It reminds me of Mam-ma Lois so much!

So the cleaner looks like it did a good job on my jewelry, all except my Pandora, it looks like it ruined all 3 of my rings, anyone else have this happen? 😩

Angela Lanter just a couple hours. I guess I should have read up about pandora jewelry cleaning before I jumped on it. I found a solution that took the black tarnish look away, but the finish still looks weird to me. I guess this must be for gold jewelry and not for sterling silver??? It did a great job on all 3 of my gold and diamond jewelry I put in the solution.
The before and after videos are shot from different angles and under different lighting, therefore your examples are not valid.
