I just played it on my original Game Boy on the original cartridge. I'm going to be buying the new TMNT game on the Switch (Shredder's Revenge) and wanted to remind myself of what it was like playing this back in 1990. It's still nostalgia awesomeness and...my Game Boy still works!!!
I had this game growing up, obviously. I am the youngest of three kids so my older brothers when they wouldn't play with me I would play this game alone. At times I'd take a quick lunch break and pause the game just to hear "PIZZA TIME!" so that I could feel like I was eating with thee Ninja turtles. God I has such a innocent childhood.
Wow!!! I loved this game SO much better than the 1st one on NES. This was my 1st game boy game I played and finished. SO much fun, and a killer soundtrack! Ultra games always had great music
This was the first game I ever beat. I was about five or six and beat it in the backseat of my dad's car on our way to a lake. I distinctly remember Krang laughing after the end credits. That was about 16 years ago and haven't played it again since. I should pick up another copy.
A+B+Select at the Level Select screen. Also the famous Konami code (Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A) works in this game - it will restore your life.
This was my favorite game on the gameboy. I remember I used to beat this once per day during my summer vacation just to kill time. I eventually got the sequel but it was too hard. Never beat it.
The music just gets better and Better. It was like going to a rave . Techno, Trance, Synth Heaven. Level 2 music had NO BUSINESS being that good. It alone could wipe the floor with the MAJORITY of game musics from any platform.
This, Mario Land 2, Castlevania Adventure, and Tetris, were the games I had for Game Boy. I didn't play Pokemon until Game Boy Color with Pokemon Crystal on my tenth birthday.
This game was my childhood. Got it for Christmas with my new Gameboy when I was 8. It may be the first video game I ever beat. It's gonna be so surreal to play it again on the.Cowabunga Collection after so many years.
This was such a great game, could finish it again and again and it never got boring ...You know you can hit Bebop & Baxter's beams to kill them, right? Looked like you were trying to jump over them all
I found a copy of this game in a coat pocket when I found in between classes in middle School. Took the coat to lost and found and I kept the game. No regerts!
So did I! And boy, this and the amazing spider man were the best games ever back then! I remember how it completely blew my mind that these games actually had the original theme songs from the cartoon shows :)
I always thought the footclan members said " Listen to us" when u killed em cuz thas jus what it sound like. This game had a TON of secret areas and mini games not shown here obviously.
Fantastic game, i used to play it a lot when i was a kid. But bad highscore, i can remember i used to reach over 32k using every hidden game and glitch :) Thanks for sharing this great video!!
Yeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaar that game was totally awesome. Cool sound 4 a gameboy game too and the soundeffects were interesting too. Brings back great memories.
Played the Crap out of this One. It was Good Playable. Easy. A Game you could achieve some Progress in Game Playing with Time. Not like other Gameboy Games that got you Stuck and frustrated.
Nicely done video and thank you for uploading it. I've got this second hand game boy game in the UK back in 2015. The only difference is the game's title called "Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles: Fall of the Foot Clan". Eventually I completed the game by carrying on from the last place where I've been captured.
Never tho I never played this game as a kid, I did have a gameboy. But it was a gameboy advance sp. I had all kinds of gameboy games. Like Super Mario Advance, Pokemon Red, Super Mario Deluxe and Earthworm Jim. But playing this game in the Cowabunga collection gave me nostalgia cuz of my love for the gameboy
I got all three earlier this year, making up for not having a gameboy back then, and are still stuck with the third :P Back then the games had challenge ;)
I can't really defend this as a "good" game these days. You have to pick your battles. But as a kid, this was my reliable way to kill 30 minutes. I got to where I could reliable do the entire game without being hit once. I started setting challenges for myself, like only shurikens (except on bosses, who are immune to them). I still pop it in sometimes for another go. We all have our guilty pleasures, and this is one of mine.
Almost 30 years have passed and I still remember this beauty! Great memories!

I freakin LOVED this game. nostalgia is a beautiful thing.
NOSTALGIC! I remember finishing this game.
Without a doubt one of the best Game Boy games of its time.
Not really.
Yes, it was. Great sound, great cutscenes, great music, nice minigames. The 2nd part was lame.
Used to play it on Super Gameboy.
The sounds of destroying the enemies were so satisfying.
Ohh Yes !!! ;-)
It sounds like they say " listen to us" wen they die
Wysrrrugghh

I remember this game had some great music
Y. Xiao that's Konami for you (or Ultra, which is a subsidiary of Konami)
Standard for konami in the 80's- 90's
It's actually composed by the Castlevania series composer since Bloodlines!
I love how smiley the old turtles were. Like little lego men.
Fall of the Foot Clan is such a classic
You said it!
Brings back so many memories. Remember playing this so many times in the back seat growing up. Best ever!!!!!
Wow!!! I loved this game SO much better than the 1st one on NES. This was my 1st game boy game I played and finished. SO much fun, and a killer soundtrack! Ultra games always had great music
On the first stage it plays the TMNT theme music from the cartoon.
This was the first game I ever beat. I was about five or six and beat it in the backseat of my dad's car on our way to a lake. I distinctly remember Krang laughing after the end credits. That was about 16 years ago and haven't played it again since. I should pick up another copy.
Who else is here after the announcement of the Cowabunga Collection?? Can’t wait to try the TMNT GB games since i never played them as a kid 😁
I stinkin’ loved this game!! The 90s were so awesome!! Beat it several times!!
Every sprite, background, sound FX and music is totally etched into my brain! ;) I played this game to infinity when i was 11 ;)
Love the fact you played with each turtle at least once, with Leonardo as the finisher.
Great stuff :)
OMG !!!! This brings back all my childhood memories... this game was a legend back in the days
Nostalgic, I grew up with this game.
wow, I had totally forgotten about this game until I saw it on ebay; all those memories playing this on road trips are coming back to me
One of my all time favorite gameboy games! Thanks for the LP!
When I got this I was so enthralled with the music, my jaw hit the floor.
Way to go, Konami!!!!!!!!
A+B+Select at the Level Select screen. Also the famous Konami code (Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A) works in this game - it will restore your life.
20:27 life lost leonardo was captured
This was my favorite game on the gameboy. I remember I used to beat this once per day during my summer vacation just to kill time. I eventually got the sequel but it was too hard. Never beat it.
Yo this was hands down my favorite 1st gen gameboy game. Was all i played for a hot minute
The music just gets better and Better. It was like going to a rave . Techno, Trance, Synth Heaven. Level 2 music had NO BUSINESS being that good. It alone could wipe the floor with the MAJORITY of game musics from any platform.
Oh man, this takes me back to the Nintendo power days...
The enemy destruction sound.. So good. I used to love this game.
This was one of my favorite games on Gameboy! I remember beating this multiple times.
This, Mario Land 2, Castlevania Adventure, and Tetris, were the games I had for Game Boy. I didn't play Pokemon until Game Boy Color with Pokemon Crystal on my tenth birthday.
I remember a bonus game about finding a secret number with 3 digits.
This game was my childhood. Got it for Christmas with my new Gameboy when I was 8. It may be the first video game I ever beat. It's gonna be so surreal to play it again on the.Cowabunga Collection after so many years.
TMNT fall of the foot clan this game was my childhood
🥺 después de 25 años vuelvo a ver este juego 🤩 las tardes eran divertidas con el Game boy, los fin de semanas eran de aventura y de diversión 🙌🏼🕹️🎮🔫🛹
I just played this game tonight on my Gameboy! Great game and great music.
props for the playthru but I am completely saddened to see them miss every single bonus mini game
This was such a great game, could finish it again and again and it never got boring
...You know you can hit Bebop & Baxter's beams to kill them, right? Looked like you were trying to jump over them all
The first boss is easy. Block Eocksteady’s shot and let him bum rush you. He’ll go down in seconds.
Fun to see myself playing this game after 14 years ago! This was my longplay back in the day! :)
After my Pokémon Red crashed and loss my file with my Blastoise lvl. 94, this game just served me just to "forget" the trauma.
this game brings back memories. I think I was around 13 or 14 when this game came out.
I found a copy of this game in a coat pocket when I found in between classes in middle School. Took the coat to lost and found and I kept the game. No regerts!
I remember playing this game constantly when I was a kid
Always loved this game. I miss the 90's and my childhood :(
Great little game, great music and not impossible like other Gameboy games. I love it.
So did I! And boy, this and the amazing spider man were the best games ever back then!
I remember how it completely blew my mind that these games actually had the original theme songs from the cartoon shows :)
Such a great game, this is one of my favourite third party Gameboy titles. Sound effects and music are awesome.
Remember playing this in the closet with the gameboy light. Go in the closet with total darkness, turn on the light to really make the game shine!
I remember my mom buying me this at Funcoland
You missed the Bonus-Stages! My Highscore last time was 21520
Thanks! So much Childhood Memories....
Crazy ! I remember this like it was yesterday. I was about 5 when this game came out. I'm 29 now.
One of my favorite games in childhood
omg bring back so much memories, thank you!
I know all walkthrough locations. I forgot how great the sound was with headphones.
The sounds in this game were excellent. Really makes a difference.
Another excellent Game. A Classic. Played it a lot back in the Day. ;-)
I was today years old when I found out you can deflect Rocksteady's bullets...
Still my favorite Turtles game and one of my very top favorite Game Boy games.
My favorite game boy game
1:31
Sewer in the sky?
The TMNT theme sounds awesome in GB 8-bit.
I always thought the footclan members said " Listen to us" when u killed em cuz thas jus what it sound like. This game had a TON of secret areas and mini games not shown here obviously.
I totally forgot having this game. Thanks for posting the play through, was fun to watch.
Fantastic game, i used to play it a lot when i was a kid. But bad highscore, i can remember i used to reach over 32k using every hidden game and glitch :) Thanks for sharing this great video!!
I played the shit out of this game as a little tacker. I was 7 years old in Brisbane Australia and that GameBoy was my life!
GAMEOVER is what you get after the ending. Like you lost the game. What a reward.
Some things my brain will never forget.
I still remember this game like it’s yesterday.
Thankyou for the playthrough 👍
Omg i rem this game back then when i was a kid i played this game 5 hours strait up lol
I love the BGM on this as a kid. All the cross echoes!
Thus was the very first Gameboy game I played. It was my cousins on his chunkyboy. Good memories, lol. I got stuck early game, though lol

The music of this game is awesome!!! also the sound effects are good!!
this was better then the very first tmnt game on the nes
Yes, but for a sequel to the first tmnt on gameboy, it's bad
True, and not so hard.
this was the first gameboy tmnt
better ??? while imperfect, the NES game was very fun and varied.
This one is short, boring, easy and feels so repetitive.
No.
This game has not aged well.
Leonardo looks like "I have no idea what I'm doing" and just slightly waggle the sword around and it kills enemies.
Yeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaar that game was totally awesome. Cool sound 4 a gameboy game too and the soundeffects were interesting too. Brings back great memories.
Damn the nostalgia. I had this and some other pokemon games but my parents throw it all away unfortunately
Too bad you left out all the secrets. I would love to know if I ever found all of them.
23:53 - I promised I will always remember this music, now I return to hear it again!
I remember every inch of this game..
Haven't played this game in 20 years. Sheesh time flies.
From the 3 turtles games on the gameboy is back from the sewers the best. Awesome music too
Played this on my Gameboy all day back in the 80s
From the gameplay to the music, this game was COMPLETE! my fav on GB.
Played the Crap out of this One.
It was Good Playable. Easy.
A Game you could achieve some Progress in Game Playing with Time. Not like other Gameboy Games that got you Stuck and frustrated.

Dwam, I grew up on this!!

I can't believe how short the game was! It seemed so long back then
Never tho I never played this game as a kid, I did have a gameboy. But it was a gameboy advance sp. I had all kinds of gameboy games. This is literally how my father sees violence in Touhou LostWord. No joking.
Man what I wouldn't give to be 11 yrs old again and playing this without a care in the world...
Just found this with my gameboy and never skipped a beat just beat it !
i have yet to find a game that has a more satisfying sound when you kill an enemy
