I just played it on my original Game Boy on the original cartridge. I'm going to be buying the new TMNT game on the Switch (Shredder's Revenge) and wanted to remind myself of what it was like playing this back in 1990. It's still nostalgia awesomeness and...my Game Boy still works!!!

At times I'd take a quick lunch break and pause the game just to hear "PIZZA TIME!" so that I could feel like I was eating with thee Ninja turtles. God I has such a innocent childhood.
Wow!!! I loved this game SO much better than the 1st one on NES. This was my 1st game boy game I played and finished. SO much fun, and a killer soundtrack! Ultra games always had great music

The music just gets better and Better. It was like going to a rave . Techno, Trance, Synth Heaven. Level 2 music had NO BUSINESS being that good. It alone could wipe the floor with the MAJORITY of game musics from any platform.
This, Mario Land 2, Castlevania Adventure, and Tetris, were the games I had for Game Boy. I didn't play Pokemon until Game Boy Color with Pokemon Crystal on my tenth birthday.
This was such a great game, could finish it again and again and it never got boring ...You know you can hit Bebop & Baxter's beams to kill them, right? Looked like you were trying to jump over them all

I found a copy of this game in a coat pocket when I found in between classes in middle School. Took the coat to lost and found and I kept the game. No regerts!

It was at the very least far better than the forgettable original T.M.N.T. N.E.S. game, which everyone seemingly had, but never really liked all that much, and was virtually impossible to finish for that matter also.

I can't really defend this as a "good" game these days. You have to pick your battles. But as a kid, this was my reliable way to kill 30 minutes. I got to where I could reliable do the entire game without being hit once. I started setting challenges for myself, like only shurikens (except on bosses, who are immune to them). I still pop it in sometimes for another go. We all have our guilty pleasures, and this is one of mine.
When I heard the line "We are here to save April" I thought, "Was this translated from Japanese? That would not make any sense." And yet the credits came up and it was entirely made by Japanese. Not only that, but Michiru Yamane worked on this. I had no idea. I was thinking through the video that people should actually remix/rearrange these songs. When the game started, I did not notice it said Konami anywhere. It is a well-designed game for what little it did, but the turtles are almost exactly the same, so I was expecting this to be a game that was a quick cash grab. I guess it was just early Gameboy as well as being a really small team.
Wow, you've this game beaten! I have great respect for you! I played time ago "Back from the Sewers" - and it was pure hell (among other things they walk so fucking slowly...). ^^ I love the music, too (it rocks). :-) The turtles looked like they are hypnotized... ^^

I only played this game on a GB emulator, but I loved it, so I think I'll buy a physical copy sometime.
