It's so weird seeing Americans react like this. As a Brit, spice girls were absolute life. Every young girl loved them, listened to them, danced to them, wore their clothes, lived and breathed spice girls 😂
These kids are weird and they don't know good music when they hear it. At least we can understand what the Spice Girls are talking about.

I'm American and trust me, we were the same way. Like they said in the video, the pandemonium was so bad they regularly got compared to the "British invasion." I remember I sooooobbed when they came to my town in 1997 and my mom didn't get me tickets. I went over to my friends' house where they were getting ready for the show and they were dressing up like Baby Spice and I was devastated that I wasn't going. I'm 30 years old and I'm still salty about something that happened when I was 7. 😂

That was how it was here in the states..
Every girl in Elementary school would argue over which spice they were, and buy the dolls, and ugh.

I feel kind of old now. :D Being 31 the Spice Girls remind me of my teenage years and it is pretty funny to see teenagers now reacting to them. Another funny thing is than no one of them commented that current fashion teenagers and young adults wear is totally inspired by the 90s. Sometimes I wonder if they really like that style or if they just dress up as 90s kids.
It's so funny to hear the kids talk about how tame the Spice Girls are compared to groups of today. I was in 4th grade when Wannabe came out and all I remember is how risque and provocative they were. They were so sexual my mom wouldn't let me watch them or listen to their music.

bruh, i’m younger than all of these people and yet i know all of the spice girl songs. scary spice always been has and is my favorite though, she inspired me to do dance and that stuff. I'm American. My brother introduced me to the spice girls when I was in kindergarten or maybe before than. I love them! I still listen to them and I'm about 28 years old. They are the best, and better then some music today. I wish there was music videos out there that was appropriate and modest like spice girls. Kids today don't apricate really great old music probably due to media and how the world is changing now these days.

I graduated from high school in 1997. Yes, Spice Girls was everywhere. The 90s were amazing, music wise. Just look at the VMAs. Very diverse from No Doubt to Blackstreet, Jewel to Shania Twain, you listened to EVERYTHING and appreciated it all.

It saddens me how they didn't realise how iconic the Spice Girls were and still are. There is no girl group to compare to them, they are THE girl group. I guess it's because I'm from Britain, so they are more iconic here than in America.
