ABOUT AP
The Asia Pacific Yo-Yo Championships (AP) is the premier annual yo-yo competition in the Asia Pacific region. Since its humble beginnings in 2003, AP has been steadily growing in terms of number of countries and participants, with 13 participating countries. The highlight of this event is that spinners across different nations and cultures get to compete with current World Champions, trade tips and tricks with the best in the scene, inspire youths, motivate one another and raise the standards of spinning. AP features of 5 main divisions - Single Handed, Double Handed Looping, Double Handed String, Off-string and Counterweight.

he is preparing 2 combos which scores around 8 points more than his old one and still takes similar amount of time. so...don't expect a new champ, shion will be the champ again and again until the iyyf rule changes which is not likely.

I think Polo put on a great performance, but given the margin of victory (0.2 points) and the fact that he tied with Hirotaka Akiba in the technical category makes it a bit unfair for him to have been declared the winner without some sort of tiebreaker. A difference of 0.2 points in the freestyle evaluation category is basically a tie when you account for human error, given that freestyle evaluation is entirely subjective.

ap itself heavily relies on clicks compare to the rest, so this situation is likely to happen way more often than other competitions. if there is a real tie, other categories will be added in for the final judgement. polo's tricks are more risky and have more stage control so...0.2 might not just 0.2 but with other categories judged but not announced.
