- I watched the 1996 film, Spy Hard, starring Leslie Nielsen, Nicolette Sheridan, Marcia Gay Harden, Andy Griffith, Barry Bostwick, Stephanie Romanov, Mason Gamble, Charles Durning, John Ales, Ray Charles, Hulk Hogan, Fabio, and so many others. I like Mr. Nielsen's style of comedy, so I always enjoy his films, although I have been notified that in his earlier days, he used to do some serious work. I will definitely check that out at some point!

Fun Fact: The opening title sequence is a very specific and direct send-up of the main title sequence of the James Bond movie Thunderball (1965).
Other than the other 2 Naked Gun movies, there is two more Leslie Nielsen movies that was in theaters and that is Wrongfully Accused (1998) which is a spoof of The Fugitive and Superhero Movie which of course spoofs Superhero movies.

Spy Hard isn't as bad people say it to be but Naked Gun is much better
It's been a while since I've seen this. If I remember correctly, considering this is a spy parody, who better to sing the theme song than the king of music parodies, Weird Al Yankovic? It was done to the tune of "Thunderball", which was originally a Bond theme sung by Tom Jones.
This was always my favorite Leslie Nielsen movie and since you seem to be the only one that has reacted to it, I'd say it's very underrated.

Oh my - how could I forget this was some attempt to include Andy Griffith into this cadre of 'straight man idiocy films'? In AIRPLANE, the Control Tower scene included a half-dozen well-known faces from American TV from ?? the beginning ??... in NAKED GUN, there were a few more inserted here or there as the series progressed. And apparently someone thought of asking Andy Griffth to join this 'crew' of available older actors?!! sigh... no wonder I forget his part in this film.
Oh gosh... I forgot how many films this was ripping off, er, "paying homage to".

This movie spoof the old James Bond movies,Speed ,Et, Pulp Fiction, Home Alone ,Sister Act, True Lies. The epic chase is a spoof on True Lies a Arnold Schwarzenegger movie. He also has a spoof on The Fugitive another movie you should see. Its funny I just recently saw a almost unknown today old 80's Spy comedy called "Gotcha!"with a a young Anthony Edwards and Linda Fiorentino. You should really see it.
Lotta good James Bond parody jokes, but it does get a little bit tired with some of the other references.
Not one of Nielsen's best, but I love the Weird Al opening titles. For Al Yankovic in a lead role - UHF
