You are right about them being the grown brothers of skz, bc monsta x are literally the ones who put the style out of there for groups of 4th gen like skz and ateez could develop the style, and even further, the 4th gen exists as it does bc monsta x put the style (sound/concept/fashion combo) out there. They gave us this name which is French for “My Baby”. So we their baby girls/boys. Monsta X is know as the “beast idols” because of their mature, rough, and sexy theme. They are not shy, at all, about making sex references in their songs (i.e. Monsta Truck).
Joohoney and IM are our rappers and two out of our three producers. Jooheon is in the top 10 for song credits in all of Kpop, I think he’s at 8 below Suga of BTS. Hyungwon is the other producer.
They hold the distinction for having two full English albums, All About Love and The Dreaming.
Our other members are:
Shownu - Leader, vocalist, dancer. He choreographs a lot of their work. He came back from the military this year. He and Hyungwon just released a unit album called “The Unseen”.
Minhyuk - Visual, subrapper, vocalist. Our mood maker and the loudest member. He is currently serving in the military.
Kihyun - My boo and bias. He is the main vocalist and is widely regarded in the Kpop industry for his voice. He has come out with two solo albums. He is currently serving in the military.
Hyungwon - Our sleepy producer. He is a sub vocalist, dancer, visual, and the center. He is an actor, having been in two TV series; and a DJ known as H. One. He will be entering the military in November.
Joohoney - Our sweet honey is our main rapper. He has the cutest dimples and a split personality. He’s a beast on stage and everyone’s baby off stage. He can be very pouty. He is currently serving in the military. He has two solo albums out.
I.M - Our maknae and quiet child. He was the one who said eat me like a main dish. He is also the one who makes the most suggestive song lyrics and is not shy about showing off his body. He is also the most tattooed, with four. He is in the top 20 for song credits and has come out with 2 solo albums.
Wonho (the man you love) is a former member (bullshit reasons that piss us all off) and is a solo artist now. If you think these boys are sexy you will not survive our buff bunny. And when I say buff other idols fanboy over him like no tomorrow. He will appear in any music video before 2020. Follow was his last video with them.

MX are a bit underrated which is a damn shame cuz their discography is impeccable. There are 3 writers/producers in the group. Check out some of their more recent stuff like Rush Hour, Love, Beautiful Liar, Kiss or Death. Some of their older iconic songs Shoot Out, Beautiful, and Dramarama. They also have full English albums. Check out Who Do You Love, Play It cool, One Day. Their Japanese discography is also fire. Check out Wanted. They truly are the older bros of the younger groups who look up to them!

in 2017 I discovered kpop and in 2019 I discovered monsta x, and I immediately joined the fandom, I already listened to other groups but with them it was and still is different, they are unique and really grown men, and bestie if you've already gone crazy with the titles, just wait until you see the bsides, there isn't a single bad song, really a talented and very loving group ❤
How did I know that wonho was going to snatch you in follow 😂😂😂 so wonho is the former member of monsta x. But we all still love him and Listen to his music. Yes he has a solo career. Jooheon he had red hair in love killa and black hair in follow he’s in the maknae line and he is amazing. The other rapper is IM and he’s the most mainly maknae ever lol. And he is the youngest. And the age range I believe is between 27-30 or 31. Shonwu has already done is military and the rest are in the military. Hyungwon he’s my ult bias he has long black hair in life killa he’s going in the military next month. So the only ones who will be out so far is shonwu and IM has not gone yet. Even wonho is in the military. And when you do his solo work make sure you have water 😂😂😂. He’s our captain Korea. The main vocalist with the booming voice is kihyun and the blonde in love killa is minhyuk. And they are third gen so they are older than ateez and stray kids. And what made me really happy is I always say if you like stray kids you will like monsta x. They music type is pretty similar. And a lot of fourth gen looks up to monsta x. They are kind of like the it group when it comes to them being looked up to. Also suga from bts is really close to kihyun our main vocalist and bangchan from stray kids used to live with shonwu because shownu used to be at jyp so those two are really close. And Chan loves monsta x and used to listen to some of there songs on his lives he used to do. And Jongo the youngest in ateez his favorite band is monsta x besides his own ofcourse. Fans will go to there fan meet and greets and give him monsta x things because they know how much he likes them. And monsta x is best friends with the group seventeen also. Monsta x is just one of those groups who can just bring everyone together :) o knew you would like them. Oh also they have a really good variety show called monmukgo. And that can be reacted to on TH-cam if you get interested. Also every since the album fatal love the producing team of monsta x is hyungwon, jooheon and IM. the earlier albums I think they had some hand in some of the songs. But they worked themselves up to where they are. Also shonwu and hyungwon have a new sub unit song called love me a little which hyungwon wrote and produced. And shonwu did the choreo with monsta x dance team also. That would be a good one for you also because it can help you know who those two are. And the rap line has a song called Sambakja no music video but but they do have a live video stage of it. And pretty much all of them have solo work. Jooheon and IM and kihyun mainly have solo work. Minhyuk has a solo song. And hyungwon writes songs for and within monsta x. Jooheon has now written and produced I believe three or four songs for monsta x. And he’s written minhyuk solo song. Yes Monsta X! Bang Chan and Jungho of Ateez are both big fans of MX. They debuted in 2015 with Trespass as 7 members, but in 2019, Wonho (orange hair) became a solo artist. Definitely check out his solo work because it is a well-known fact that Wonho is allergic to shirts. Pick any Monsta X song and you can’t go wrong. They have 2 very good full English albums, and 2 awesome Japanese albums. Kihyun (vocal high notes and OST king), I.M (“eat me” rapper lol), and Joohoney (rapper with the red hair) each have 2 solo albums; Shownu (leader) and Hyungwon (soft vocals, long hair) formed a subunit. Minhyuk (visual) has been an MC on music shows, and sang a couple of OST songs with Shownu. Welcome to the manly rabbit hole future Monbebe!
The man you like is Wonho who is now a soloist, you should definitely check out his music! He’s amazing! Monsta X is SKZ & Ateez seniors. They are definitely manly men! They’re known as the beasts of kpop because they’re so buff, tough, sexy, manly & cool! They also imo the most underrated group because they have the best music & discography in kpop & globally, both Korean & English albums, the best visuals and great choreography, overall talent and entertainment, they write most of their own music (imo their best songs are the ones they composed & produced themselves) but because they are older than most of the groups that are popular now fans don’t take the time to listen to their music or watch their mv! They’re mostly all in their very early 30s & 28. I’ve also heard from other fans that they are intimidated by them because they seem so hard & tough! However every group that has popularity now like SKZ, ATeez, Seventeen, TXT, Cravity, etc. have all admitted they admire & look up to Monsta X because they are so cool , sexy & manly and have the best music & choreo! Many try to do their choreo but it doesn’t hit the same (it looks like kids trying to do men’s work)! Also Monsta X is the best at doing covers songs of other groups! Monsta X & Wonho are the best vocalists & rappers in kpop! It’s actually Monsta X, specifically Wonho, who has started the large body build fitness trend that idols & celebrities now try to achieve! They’re a Japanese group based in S. Korea singing in all English! They’re not kpop or jpop, they are in their own created genre called xpop but basically their a global group.

They are absolutely the gentlemen of K-pop. Their songs were originally purchased, but Jooheon (Joohoney) and I.M, the two rappers, have always written their own raps, and Jooheon wrote and produced more recent tracks (Gambler, Rush Hour, Love). They debuted in 2015, and come a generation before Stray Kids (March 2018) and ATEEZ (October 2018). The lead singer of ATEEZ, Jongho (also the youngest), lists Kihyun -- the lead singer of Monsta X (20:56) -- as one of his idols, and they have interacted together. ATEEZ's Wooyoung is friends with I.M. I.M, btw, is known for saying/writing some hella sexy stuff, and for that I'd say you should check out his solo work and some of the b-side tracks. As a group, though, they're absolutely gorgeous, insanely talented and (sadly for now) mostly completing military service (4 of 6 are in, 1 is done, 1 still needs to start). For a second round, I'd say go with Gambler, Rush Hour, and Love, but my forever love song is One Day. Great to see you!

StrayKids, ATEEZ and MonstaX are my top 3 favorite groups 🥰. Joohoney (red mullet rapper in the beginning of "Love Killa" saying "Oh I'm sorry did I make you anxious") is my bias in MonstaX. I love them all but once you see his personality, as you hopefully dive deeper into the group, you'll see why I adore that fine a$$ man. He's so s3xy and absolutely hilarious ❤. Don't even get me started on his adorable smile and gorgeous giant dimples 😍. Anyway I really hope we get to see more MonstaX reactions 🙏.

Follow and Alligator are two of many favorites of mine, im not too crazy about LOVE KILLA but its catchy. They’re all fairly good at english but the youngest ones especially I.M is fluent from living in Boston for several years.

I wanted to talk about the concept of the video (I watched an analysis about the concept of the video from one blogger).
So, this is a trilogy of clips ''Shoot Out'', ''Alligator'', ''Follow''. The members of the group are the 7 deadly sins (also the 7 demons of Hell).
In ''Shoot Out'' they are serving their sentences for their sins in the purgatory. Everyone is in their own cell.
Wonho - demon Belphegor / sin of laziness. He is in a narrow cage, where the fog plunges him into the uncertainty of reality and fiction.
Minhyuk is the demon Asmodeus / the sin of lust. He needs contact with someone, which is why he is in a cage with rose thorns, where he cannot touch anyone or anything.
Kihyun is the Mammon demon / the sin of greed. He needs material wealth, therefore he is in a cage with manikins that are empty, there is nothing to steal from them.
Juhyun is the demon Beelzebub / the sin of hunger (gluttony). He is insatiable, because he is too aggressive. He is in a cage and is wearing a mask (muzzle).
Shownu is the demon Satan/sin of wrath. His punishment is anger itself. He, as a true evil, cannot experience anything but anger. He always has a crab of matches with him (fire, this is his catalyst).
I.M - demon Leviathan / sin of envy. Leviathan is a huge snake (he has a tarot card with a snake on it). He is the right hand of Lucifer. His punishment is not to experience emotions in principle, and wish to have it..
Hyungwon - demon Lucifer / sin of pride. He is the ruler of Hell, who wanted to take the place of God, but now he is at the very bottom, where there is no one next to him. For his pride, he is forced to stay in an empty throne room.
Anger, Laziness and Hunger are interconnected in the same way as Lust and Greed, and Envy and Pride.
Having escaped from the cells, they refuse between the world of the living and the dead, the keeper of which is Leviathan / envy (he is the owner of the Tarot cards), which collects them together. Each of them destroys their own tarot card, representing their identity, each of them realizes and accepts his sin in order to complete the punishment. 7 deadly sins come out of purgatory, hiding behind the mask of a good deed.
''Alligator'' is a continuation of the trilogy of clips ''Shoot Out'', ''Alligator'', ''Follow''. The clip begins and we see that the world is immersed in chaos (the street is a mess, sirens are yelling, helicopters are flying). On the wall is a page that says ''The 7 deadly sins are the cause of the apocalypse'', also a brief description of each sin and at the end ''these sins are forbidden by law''.
After leaving purgatory, the guys ended up in a kind of Paradise, where everyone in their room got what they wanted. They show the camera, hinting that they are being watched from above.
Wonho - demon Belphegor / sin of laziness. It is in a room with a large bed. He has an apple (the forbidden fruit of Paradise) in his hand, showing that he still wants to go outside. Having bitten an apple, his room becomes different, burgundy and destroyed, and he is wearing a black robe.
Shownu is the demon Satan/sin of wrath. He is in an empty room with only sculpture heads and empty picture frames. This place should be one where he can no longer feel anger. Once free, he still has a crab of matches with him, with which he wreaks havoc.
Hyungwon - demon Lucifer / sin of pride. He is in the clock room where he sits on a throne (same as in ''Shoot Out''). The clock tells him that he is in no hurry. But he is unhappy, because he, as the ruler of Hell, wants to regain control of the demons.
Minhyuk is the demon Asmodeus / the sin of lust. He is in a room with flowers (the embodiment of love and romance). He must realize that it is necessary not only to receive, but also to give love. But for him, love is equal to pain, and he wants to experience these feelings. He injures the rose, thereby refusing to be corrected.
Kihyun is the Mammon demon / the sin of greed. He is in a room filled with formulas. Someone satisfies greed with love, someone with food. Here he can satisfy his greed with knowledge. But he is tormented by the thirst for material things.
Juhyun is the demon Beelzebub / the sin of hunger (gluttony). He is in a beautiful but emotionally aggressive room. In this room he gets whatever he wants, and as long as he sits there, his greed can no longer develop. But greed can never be satisfied. He constantly wants more and more.
I.M - demon Leviathan / sin of envy. He is in a terrarium-like room (the Leviathan is a huge snake). The window to the world shows him only himself, cutting him off from others and preventing his envy. But he is the right hand of Lucifer, the one who should bring everyone together.
Each of them was given a place to live fully freed from their sins. But desire gets them and they escape from their cells.
Satan/wrath and Beelzebub/hunger run amok in the city. Lucifer/pride, with the help of green smoke, calls to himself his right hand Leviathan/envy. Sins gather together, all around is scarlet. Apocalypse is near.
''Follow'' is the last of the trilogy of clips ''Shoot Out'', ''Alligator'', ''Follow''. There was nothing about this video, so this is my theory of what is happening 😅 First, we are shown a clock that moves faster than usual, everything is orange-yellow around, Satan / anger rises up the stairs and an eclipse occurs, a sign of change. Everyone is in their own location. I am not strong in this, therefore I cannot say the meaning of the locations, but in general they show us.
Wonho - the demon Belphegor / the sin of laziness lies lazily on the vast expanse and drops of water rise up around him (a hint of uncontrolled time).
Minhyuk - the demon Asmodeus / the sin of lust, as if in love, walks around his location.
Juhyun is the demon Beelzebub / the sin of hunger (gluttony). At first we are shown him with his mouth covered with a sweater, but he opens it, begins to behave aggressively and at the end blows up the planet.
Shownu is the demon Satan/sin of wrath. He constantly looks at the light and with each step, climbing the stairs, he approaches the light.
Kihyun is the Mammon demon / the sin of greed. His location is empty, there is a clock on the floor, and he is like the hand of this clock (probably he controls the time).
I.M - demon Leviathan / sin of envy. Leviathan is a huge snake, snakes crawl around him. He eats some blue fruit (I don't know its meaning), his eye becomes like a snake's and another planet explodes.
Hyungwon - demon Lucifer / sin of pride. He, as the ruler of Hell, is shown in front of the eclipsed sun and moon. In the second part of the clip, after they show him, eclipse ends and the sun explodes.
While everyone else is in their locations, Satan/anger continues up the stairs. The rest in their locations watch how the eclipse ends and after the explosion of the sun we are shown how Satan/anger stands at the top of the steps, and the rest, at the head of Lucifer/pride rise to him.

You're not wrong in a sense about Monsta X being big brothers to Stray Kids. MX has a lot more influence among the 4th and 5th gen boy groups than people (haters) will give them credit for. There are plenty of trends in kpop, whether it's sounds, visuals, concepts, that can be traced backed to MX.

Girl, I wonder if you've figured out just HOW grown they are 🤭😅 MONSTA X is probably the most 'grown' kpop group, meaning they have the most mature songs/lyrics. Like half of their songs are about romantic intimacy/lovemaking and VERY sexy, which is unusual for kpop 🫠 Theyve made two albums in full english, with songs like 'Tied to your body', 'Blame me' and 'Blow your mind'... and I can very much recommend them 🤭🫠😉
