Harris Chain of Lakes Fishing Report January 2022

Grass, canals and the Central Florida lakes offer largemouth bass anglers a variety of places to fish for bass in January. While largemouth bass can be found on most lakes during this time, several lakes offer prime conditions and feeding opportunities that promise excellent fishing. The Harris Chain (Eustis, Dora, Griffen, Denam, Big Lake Harris, Carlton, Beuclaire, Apopka, and Little Lake Harris) offers great largemouth bass fishing in winter. Lake Griffen tends to warm up faster than most Lakes and holds a greater concentration of bass around 5 to 10 feet deep.
