Video Description
In this video, we discuss the recent remarks from Opposition Leader Douglas Tomuriesa, who expressed his disappointment with Prime Minister James Marape’s treatment of His Holiness Pope Francis during his visit to Papua New Guinea. Tomuriesa highlights the lack of courtesy and respect shown by the Prime Minister over the three-day visit, contrasting this behavior with PNG’s Christian values and Marape’s religious stance.

Opp Leader rightly said, the pm is thinking more on religion side with his sda mentality than looking out in a wider view of govt or political side.
True no leadership approach.
PM has done what he believes is right. Put God first, then men. You judge his action but alone God judge. PM you preached a mighty semon

Pope is not God
Pm is a liability to us, bloody conman
Dpm we people are with u u a brilliant politician
PM IS DELIBERATELY AVIODING THE HOLY FATHER. THE REASON IS ONLY KNOWN TO HIM.
Very tru
The Pope came on the wrong day and the time. Respect the PM decision. Not Pope making decision for the country. PM has is strong faith of his sabbath. Thank you
Jame Marape's presence is not a concern for the Pope. The Pope had a mission to come visit the faithfuls and share messages of love, peace and joy.
Holy Father is someone more than you and the government so don't find excuses
That PMJM can go down on his knees to India prime minister because he knows Indians most business people coming to PNG Same like Chinese 😂😂😂
Present yourself as a Leader in the nation is what he reffered to... Otherwise All this thing happened for a reason... Country ino stap gut so PM to ino present himself in proper way ... Prophetic act for our good leaders 🇵🇬🇵🇬🇵🇬🇵🇬🙏🙏🙏🙏
DPM is the same to receive the Pop on behalf of the PM.tumas pla pla by the opposition
From sunset friday to saturday set is God's blessed sabbath day for goodness sake read what the bible says .
PM is a man of fate & has some respect for other leaders coming into our country but on the other hand, we also need to understand the undeniable fact that everyone has a freedom of religion & that includes a PM to the grassroots level & we need to respect that if this was the true reason that's kept him occupied choosing to worship God above men, then we surly have to understand that without talking politically as well.
Besides, one of the questions many have been asking is that firstly what was the reason for that papal visit, since his holiness only came for an Asia tour & not Pacific tour for countries like PNG? Secondly, what are some beneficiaries we get out of the papal visit?
Thanks bruh....
Pope specifically came to visit Baro, in Vanimo. He has been building a primary school into a jnr high school and eventually secondary school boarding. He was doing this thru his nephew who is a priest at Baro. His nephew is a missionary currently reaching out far and wide in green district, aitape lumi, building church and health services. The Order of priesthood that was doing this work originated from Argentina. So Pope was here because he wanted to see his work. In order to come to Baro, he has to pass thru Port Moresby, and he foll9wed due protocol. Meeting leaders of this country in pom, before flying to Baro. As a religious leader and head of state, he integrated all required activities into this one trip
@@kakudave right... At least we know WHY he came. It wasn't even clear in the news and publications as to what being the sole reasons why he came. All they speculate and we know of is that he will visit only.
We all understand that every mission-based churches and denominations within our country are all trying their very best to somewhat provide other basic services like schools and health services as well as orphanage and aged-cares, and the Catholics being universal under their capacity had been around doing such for some time. And I'm pretty certain the Prime minister would gratefully appreciate the visit of his holiness but, again, as we all know very well that the unfortunate time of visit was in his time of Sabbath observance so sadly he couldn't be available on that Friday evening and Saturday and so it was his freedom of religion so we cannot debate much complains on that. But as seen in the prior media and press conferences, PM made it clear in advance that he will be in church during the first days of the visit but he will be joining in the later days, and that he has been working around the clock to get people ready for the papal visit. And thus, technically his deputy and other members of the government were on by to welcoming and receiving the pope on his behalf, and at least we had a good time as a nation with the pope and the PM of course made himself available for the pope on Sunday so, in my view; all is well, rather than we being stupid enough to make too senseless debates on the PM's absence and the papal visitation.
Thanks anyways for clearing the clouds as well. 👍🏼
You are welcome also🙏🇵🇬@@RonneyEpon
He coud kiss the leg of Hindu Indian Prime minister but felt scare to welcome the heads of Christianity. Then want to pass the bill for png to be Christian country??
Ultimately, the Prime Minister's absence during the Pope's visit is a matter of opinion. Some people will see it as a missed opportunity, while others will understand the circumstances. It's important to consider all sides of the issue before forming an opinion. Please! Don't involve Papal visit as a matter of discussion Pope is innocent and Pope is someone special he doesn't involve in all your politics in PNG,ok!
pm marape made a big mistake in the eyes of international leaders who were watching live telecast across the globe. Pm you represent people from all walks of life, whether you are sda or Sunday keeper.
POPE IS NOT GOD..HE'S JUST AN ORDINARY ANTICHRIST LEADER Y SHOULD RULER OF THE COUNTRY VOW DOWN TO HIM...PNG IS NOT A CATHOLIC NATION SO THAT EVERYONE ESPECTED TO RESPECT CATHOLIC LEADER....

Pope Francis is not here to be treated highly. He came to meet people, children and share a Holy Mass . Leave the Pope out of your political world. OPPOSITION IT IS TIME WE HAVE TO CHANGE OUR PLANS TO TOPPLE THE GOVERNMENT. LETS MEAN IT BY PUTTING THE COUNTRY FIRST AND NOT BEING MERE MOUTH TALKS. TOMORROW IS THE DAY.

Douglas inap nau. Pope has left. The Pope knows the arrangement. Stop politicking. Why don't you contest for the Prime Minister as Opposition leader instead you give it away to Renbo Paita.
Pope has no interest in your in-house issues.
Exactly. Looking for favors. PM had his own time with the Pope on Sunday. DT legally you should be Alternate PM as Opposition leader. You gave away your right, PMJM still has the backing of the Coalition so where do we stand to topple this Government. PNG let's hope a MIRACLE happens tomorrow
