"Patches ready, sequences empty" is the way to go :) Quite often people have sequences ready too and then it's just, press play and tweak something every now and then.
The cherry on top, indeed.. But I like to have sequences ready too, it allows you more actions without thinking of what to play.. But I still never use a song mode or things like that, it's too much and don't allows you to play with your sequences differently and improvise with the build up..Also, not all the machines are great in this way, without sequences ready. But this set up worked like a charm for me :)
This is great, that simple pattern and sounds on the kick+snare channels of the TR8s really sets a great foundation.

What is HWJ? If there are challenges like this it sounds like something I should know more about.

@@krostifmusic yes I’m always narrower to my time limit, need to choose a drumbox and it’s quite hard!!! RD8.. TR8.. TR8S.. recently had a look into MPC one and looks also really great... and RD9 still not coming!
@@dearvice haha so true ! Was also looking to drumbrute impact with microfreak at first, then model:bundle, then tr8s 😂 really depends on what you need.. I chose tr8s for versatile side, so I have a bit of classic roland drums + free slots for samples like linn drum but still searching for a good kit.. Anyway i like mine and wouldn't change a thing 🙂

Thanks Inky !!🙏 Yes the digital replica of the classic roland re201 space echo.. cost like 200 next to the original cost like 2500 😭. A must have if you are looking for this effect.. Level up for Strymon timeline but cost 450.. That was the compromise I can affoard 😊

How did you the recording and the video? Did you edit adding the sound to the video? Really like the tb-03 and the korg xd
Yes i record audio with audacity and video with my phone or my nikon, and join them together with kdenlive :)

Thanks a lot Paap !! It means that I choose sounds before jamming and build everything live. Sequences were empty :)
@@krostifmusic OK. Sounds like an intense experience. How is it for you normally, do you have trouble with overworking or not ever being quite satisfied with what you do?
@@PaapMezilane yes it is !! 😄 I avoid overworking because I would like to change things all the time 😆
Usually, when I feel I have enough elements, I jam a bit to find transitions, and I often let the second part free like "lets see what will happen".. Then I make several takes (very rare but sometimes it work in one) and I always make some things not like I planned 😂
Also, very rare to be 100% satisfied !!
