    The Mini Trainstar is a very nice addition to the beignner model line of planes that Volantex has created, and this one even comes with integrated stabilization and auto level features! The plane is a very good performer in the air with pretty much no bad tendencies, which makes it perfect even for total beginners! Once you have some experience you can switch the stabilization off and improve your skills further!

    Your slow-mo video beautifully showed the airplane hovering gracefully in mid-air. What a joy to watch!

    Flew straight out of the box. Great buy.Just love flying this model. Recommend this for beginners. I always build and fly free flight rubber. This little beauty is great. By the way i am in my seventies and have never operated RC flight before this.How good is that. Great trainer. Excellent . Thanks Volantex.

      @@ArxangelRC Yeah and still flying. Good weather here in NZ with little wind. Flying like a bird , every day for over two weeks and still enjoying it

    Had ordered this for my wife about 3 months ago. I just tested it for her. You can throw it upside down and it will straighten out on it's own. Cool little plane..

      In that case there might be an issue with it! When did you purchase it and where from? Perhaps submit a warranty claim to the seller?

    Just got this plane. A question, the tail wag back and forth is due to the wind?

    • @ArxangelRC
      @ArxangelRC  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Could be... stabilizer PIDs might be a bit too tight for windy weather.

  • @froggibility

    Does it have aileron? Does it do acrobatics?

    • @ArxangelRC
      @ArxangelRC  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, only tail controls, but given some practice in manual mode it should be able to do some basic stuff!

    Bought one a few months ago and even flown by a klutz like me it's still going strong. I actually bent the prop-shaft but it straightened up near enough for my flying.
    Just wish we had less wind here as it's rarely dropped below 5mps in the last few weeks :(
    Even with two levels of stabilisation that's just too strong for it unless you like flying backwards.

    • @ArxangelRC
      @ArxangelRC  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha, flying these in strong wind is actually pretty fun for me! Seeing a plane go backwards in the air is kinda entertaining, if you can manage to keep it stable. I have actually had that happen to me with my larger FPV planes at high altitude. :)

    yea always store your batteries at 3,8 and charge on a b3 20w compact charger for longer life

    Is the foam strong, can it have some crashes?

    • @ArxangelRC
      @ArxangelRC  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well... it is flexible... and the model is light... so it will take real dedication to damage it!

    Do you think I can put 1 18650 li-ion on the wing, and fly it?

    • @ArxangelRC
      @ArxangelRC  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Too heavy! The whole plane weights that much probably! :D

  • @myfingerpainting
    @myfingerpainting 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    The lipo-batt that comes along with is a 3.7V 180mAh 10C. This battery is hard to find.Is there any alternative to this?Can I use a 20C type instead?

    • @ArxangelRC
      @ArxangelRC  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, no problem to use higher C rated battery! Would give better performance to the plane too.

    I turned off the stabilisation on my mini trainstar, and guess what, it ended up stuck between the branches of a tree, and it wasn't fun trying to bring it down. Hahaha :D..

      Hahahahaha... yeah, I switch it off from time to time too! Not the best mode to be in!

    A Good plane for beginners is questionable ....... and for FPV on a plane that flits around like a butterfly would be useless . Maybe in a large gymnasium .... Waste of money !

    • @ArxangelRC
      @ArxangelRC  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Weeeeell... if there is no wind it flies pretty well! I've only flown it outside and it does work pretty well! Check out the last video I have with it, works quite well with FPV!

      @@ArxangelRC Welllll , Your show is Very Good , but that plane is Not . Come On Guy , it cost $80 bucks and it BROKE ! YOU , can fix it easily because you're a plane Genius ! And , For $80 bucks you could buy something Fantastic ! Like a 1080p fpv Quad with altitude hold and the Works , that will fly like a dream . I bought the Parrot Swing for $40 bucks . Quality , quad and plane All in One ! It hovers like you put it on a shelf and can transition into a full solid flying plane ...... I apologize for arguing , but Come Onnnnnnnn ! :-D

      Well... wouldn't call myself genius at anything... it is just experience mate... you crash enough planes... you'll know what I mean! :) Otherwise you are correct... especially coming from Amazon... there are cheaper options... but it is what it is... and I have had this one for a while now!
