I'm sorry but can someone please explain to me what Jay and Ian are talking about? Ben is the settling-down type. He's barely even 25 and he's been in extremely serious relationships with both Paul and Luke, both of whom died. Just because he's had a bit of fun while he gets over them, that somehow means he's not the settling down type? What was he supposed to do, remain celibate while he waits for Mr. Right to walk through the door? As for novelty and challenges, Luke and Paul weren't about novelty or a challenge. If he's slept with some random guy and gotten bored of it, he's entitled to move on without being painted as some kind of user who's only in it for kicks. After Ian's comments when Stuart attacked Ben, Ian's response doesn't surprise. I'm really taken aback by Jay. He's was there when Ben dated Paul. He should know Ben better.

Why should it matter if he's spent that time sleeping around? It doesn't change who Ben is as a person and the relationship Jay has with him. Jay should know that Ben is the settling down type. It's just a matter of finding the right person and letting them in. It's not like he's been sleeping around since day 1. It's a recent thing, after both of his boyfriends died.
