- Sunday 16th October, beautiful sunny day so better way to spend it than at a bike park. Haven't been here before, seemed busy but there was never much of a hold up as a lot of people loiter before they ride. I did some of the east side as well as the blue nunn, a45 and practice sessions.
Plus the epic crash

I did the exact same thing on the exact same jump yesterday. Dislocated little finger, knee swollen like a balloon, road rash everywhere. Northampton general A&E were great.
I guess I should consider myself lucky then! Recover soon!
I feel your pain. I did exactly the same thing on Friday. I had to go to a&e on the way home as I thought I had broken my collar bone. I’ve got bruises on my bruises 😂
Shit ain't it. Besides the pain it's sooo confidence destroying... Was for me anyway.
Did you break the collar bone then?
@@AverageDan81 No, just bruised. I’ve spent the weekend just sitting on the sofa as I can barely move. Definitely knocked my confidence. I have never fallen like that before.
Think 80% of riders have crashed on that same spot..
@@mrmagoo582 why is that? I mean it was quite a steep one I thought but it's suitable for the trail grade
AHH I felt the fear as soon as you went OTB, not the best feeling in the world. Definitely need more speed for that one and more standing up to the jump to get the height and not get bucked. We've all been there unfortunately 😂
Agreed. Although I won't be trying it again any time soon. Need to master normal jumps
@@AverageDan81 when I started hitting big jumps I found the best way to learn is to watch someone else do it, gauge the speed and full send. I feel like a lot of crashes on jumps happen due to wrong speed and not fully committing to the jump.
Yea, can't disagree with that
Yup that particular jump is very kicky
That's cool, I therefore blame the jump 👌😁
