“Lobbying for Zionism on Both Sides of the Atlantic” by Ilan Pappe Ilan Pappe unveils how over a century of aggressive lobbying changed the map of the Middle East. Pro-Israel lobbies convinced British and American policymakers to condone Israel’s flagrant breaches of international law, grant Israel unprecedented military aid and deny Palestinians rights. Anyone who questioned unconditional support for Israel, even in the mildest terms, became the target of relentless smear campaigns. Lobbying for Zionism on Both Sides of the Atlantic shows us how an unassailable consensus was built - and how it might be dismantled

@@Curt-Gevert it has everything to do with it...because this is NOT a political race between one decent person...and one indecent one. This is absolutely a contest between two horribly indecent people. One just pretends to be decent. What has the Democratic Party ever done for the common person?? When genocide is committed with US weapons, US political support...and clearly with US taxpayer funds, it is absolutely an issue in this election.

My problem is that I find neither of the candidates to be decent people, after witnessing the horrendous genocide and extermination in Gaza, with the support of both of these people. Right now, US politics is a horrendous thing, and there is little good that I can find in it. And, don't kid yourself, it has been that way for a very long time. The last year just puts the inhumanity of US politics in a constant spotlight. There is absolutely NOTHING more important than stopping the killing of innocent women and children....with US taxpayer money...and with the wholehearted support of the US political system. Kamala Harris lowered herself in pitiful fashion, by saying that things like grocery prices and such....were more important than stopping the US-backed genocide we witness every day on our screens.

The honest media has always been a bulwark in a democracy, the serious journalism that we go to clear the webs from the barrage of news coming through the internet. Is a pity the lack of courage from people that made their fortune in the possible of a democratic country.

I've been encouraging Black people to Vote for Donald Trump because I think his Presidency will have less of a negative effect on the Black community than Kamala Harris's Presidency. I forgot to mention I wish V P Harris would have thought about improving the lives of the American people by investing our tax dollars in our children like after school programs that offer tutoring even Sat part time programs in our poor distressed comminities. I'm an RN and I do Correctional Nursing which means jails and prisons. She claims to have so much empathy for single Moms but couldn't see fit to fund community programs for young Black males or provide more educational opportunities for kids in foster care. Our BILLIONS of tax dollars could have made such an impact only Vice President Kamala Harris would think of bettering America and the lives of the American people. The country that gave her parents a chance to a better life and this is how she repays us.

It’s such a shame about this turn of events at the Post. Actually, politically, I used to appreciate the Post’s editorial perspective over that of the Star. Now I’m afraid I have to find another news source to rely on.
