Hi guys, there is a diabetes food chart that you can mark the foods Dennis like and make it for him there’s a plate chart for how much he can eat look up diabetes food plate and is the portion of each food he can eat Please look it up so you can see
I'm glad your doing better Dennis I know it's hard to watch what you eat I'm trying to do the same but like you sad it's hard to resist all the good food you keep doing what your doing and you'll get there and Marissa I here it in your voice you need some rest you have to take care of yourself so that you can take care of Dennis 😊😊😊
Hi Marissa, I'm 55 and a heart patient also. The best way I've found to keep my blood sugar down is to do the carnivore or keto diet. Even my cardiologist was skeptical at first then he saw the results of my blood test and they have been the best they have ever been. Dennis is the same age as my father and I know us men are going to do what men are going to do but I thought I'd mention my journey of keeping my blood sugar, weight and other things in check. I hope you both have a good Christmas. John from Minnesota.
Dennis you are on the right track changing your diet.Because now you have no choice. And i know you can do it and support from your wife. You both as a team eating healthier
You are a good woman and a good wife. I salute you ,we need more strong good morals woman like you .Keep up the good work, you really are awesome lady. 👍🌻
Hi guys I’m happy to see Dennis is up and moving around a little. I pray the lord continue to give the Doctors healing knowledge .. Merry Christmas to you and the family.🎄🎁🥂
It's ok to use oil as long as it's olive oil or coconut oil, other oils are extremely high in bad cholesterol. Or use real butter with no sugar in it 👍
Dennis, you are still short of breath. You can check your O2, but even though you’re on antibiotics, it’s fine. The hospital may have felt you’re ok, but man, your breathing sounds labored. I hope you’re sleeping with your head elevated. Don’t feel like you can’t go back to the hospital. You still need hospital-level breathing treatments. Your sleeping needs to be monitored with an auto-inflating BP cuff to monitor your BP and heart rate.
i'm diabetic to. i was told that you can eat what you want but limit the amount of sweets. also i was told that white bread is better than wheat. wheat has more sugar in it.
@@mickeystine3100 not true ! Wheat bread is more fiber and complex carbs , white bread has added sugars and the fiber is mostly removed ! Google it ! My nutritionist also told me this and limit bread to one slice a day and never pasta or pizza
7 gm sugar in yogurts not bad. You don't want 20. And you don't have to worry about vegetables unless you're eating a lot of starchy veg, like corn and peas. Look carefully at the nutrition info on cans and stay away from a lot of fried & fatty foods.
Marissa put Dennis in God's hands.. Don't carry that burden by yourself...Dennis is ok and still here give him his flowers while he is here...In other words let him know u love him and appreciate him...Tomorrow is not promised...Take nothing for granted...God bless u and Dennis...Prayers up for u and Dennis
His diet caught up with him. Discipline is required. Intermitten fasting helped me and occasionally I go 3 days without food. It actually gives me more energy after day 2.
I feel for Dennis , because I have the same struggle trying to figure out what I can eat as a diabetic, and someone also trying to manage high cholesterol, particularly where breakfast is concerned. So far it's been narrowed down to egg substitute. I even consulted the so-called "diabetic food plate." The only thing noted there that is breakfast based is - you guessed it - eggs. I'm to the point where I feel like it's just simply not worth the effort and hassle. My solution now is to simply ask God to bless my food and not let it harm me.
Boiled eggs are a good source of protein, cheese and veggie omelets, oatmeal. He can also have a slice of toasted wheat bread. Just be mindful of carbs and sugar intake. So glad that you're feeling better, Dennis. God is good.🙏🙏🙏
Great move with the no parking and using the tricycle to get to the mall 👍. Dennis take care of yourself also monitor mariben. My daughter had walking pneumonia and a cough for about a month, you guys just take care and be careful the whole clan too!😊
Thank you for sharing, as one of your viewer, we are also concerned regarding his health, my pinoy husband said ditch the pork, start feeding him grilled fish, or even using an air fryer, lots of fresh fruits, even just plain boiled eggs,, speed recovery, get well.Maligayang Pasko...🎉🎉🙏
You have a very loving and caring wife. God bless you both. The beard is looking good, and you look like you've lost some weight. Keep up the good work.
I was diabetic and cured my diabetes with the carnivore diet. Currently I just eat ground beef, salt and water. However you can eat any animal products. All meats, eggs, and fish are good. No more prescriptions and I'm down from 354 pounds to 168 pounds. Feeling awesome! Avoid anything from plants, especially vegetable or seed oils.
Good to know that you cured your diabetes with a "carnivore diet". However, there isn't a single report in the scientific literature that a "carnivore diet" cures diabetes. Similarly, there are no scientific publications recommending people "to avoid anything from plants". Common sense tells us that there are millions of vegetarians and vegans living healthy lifestyles all over the world.
Same here, I cut out carbs including fruits and no longer a diabetic for more than 10’years. Also I lost weight. My choice of protein is fish, chicken and beef.
Stay strong Dennis!!!! Lovely wife you have!!!! I plan to get married in March !!!! My Filipina just like your wife( smart, kind, strong, happy)take care n God bless
Hello to both of you. How are you doing today Dennis? That's good to hear that your feeling better. Drive safely to get home.im glad you made it home. They almond milk is good. That's what I drink and almonds are good for you.for you. Both of you as well. Happy and healthy christmas and New Year.
“Eat to Beat Disease” by William Li, MD. Marissa please buy this book and it will help save Dennis health challenges…Merry Christmas from Dr Ray California/USA. Dennis praying for your quick recovery.
Plain oatmeal is very good one reason you can doctor it up so it almost tastes more like a desert. You can put your own flavoring in it like a little spices like cinnamon and banana 🍌, apples, avocado, a little artificial sweetener or frozen fruits or canned fruits, berries that have no sugar added .✌️❤️🙏🙏🙏
Stay strong and appreciate you found a good wife and she's so lucky to have a great sister don't worry god is good ❤️ 💛 💖 💓 💗 just make sure Dennis lesson to your wife she loves you ❤️ 💖 😊 💙 god bless you all ❤❤❤❤

It is rough, but your diet is so important, hopefully everything works out. Get some information from the internet, there are very good recipes for healthy dishes. Wishing you guys a Merry Christmas and a very good new year ❤❤❤
Dennis, you are looking much better. Take it easy. @ Marrisa, purchase a CGM if available - this will monitor Dennis glucose level, all day. As for consuming ham, not too often as it is heavily cured; hence, processed.
100% Whole Wheat Bread for Him! Be careful with the Ham the Sodium in it! He needs to get the RSV Shot for Phneumonia Prevention! Once this clears up! Also Keep a Humidifier on at Nights & Day for Him! Happy Holidays to You both! 🙌🌲🎅🎊❤🇺🇸
Prednisone is an important medication to reduce inflammation (e.g. in the lungs during an asthmatic attack). However there are serious side effects from long-term use: physicians need to balance between the curative effects of the steroid against the negative side effects. Your physician knows best: check it with her/him.
Man just eat fresh meat, fresh vegetables and if you want something sweet eat a fruit, no bread, rice, pasta, sugar, soda, even sugar free, drink water, fresh coconut water and black coffee, no cream or sugar,
Here's my tips today. :) With diabetes Dennis probably wants to eat whole grains. Most breads you buy in grocery stores (at least in the US) that are labled Whole Wheat are actually a combination of white and whole wheat. You want to look for 100% Whole Wheat. A few months ago I made Pandesal with 100% Whole Wheat flour and it was dynamite! To make things sweeter try Monk Fruit Sugar. It has zero calories and is a great sweetener. Best of luck to you Dennis as you navigate your new food choices. And thank you both for the videos.... Side note.. I leave Christmas Morning to fly to Manila Airport and will be a fellow Expat. I'm moving to Eastwood City which is located in Quezon City. I can't wait to get there.
Hi again guys, forgot to tell you that I’m a type 2 diabetic and have to change my eating habits it took me awhile to minus salt and sugar out it was hard but finally did it I believe Dennis can do it I can hear Dennis breathing still bad Prayers continues for Dennis speedy recovery Please look up the diabetes food chart and plate chart it will show you everything about living with diabetes 🙏☝️💯💪💖✝️👴🏼👩🏻
Looking much better Dennis. Glad you have a good support system. The ladies appear to be talking good care of you. Hospital or clinic could help you get in contact with a dietician to help plan meals based on his medical diagnosis. Fat free milk, extra virgin olive oil, Cheerios with fruit, Omega 3 (fish oil) supplement. Pomegranates. Cold green tea with lemon juice. Greek yogurt with your own fruit added.
Marissa, Dennis can have oatmeal, cream of wheat, Lots of fresh veggies, some fruits, chicken of all kinds just cook everything in the Air Fryer, all nuts, Greek yougart has no sugar fish , beef, lots of things he can eat.
If you can find wraps that would be better than bread. It is what I do so I am not eating so much bread and there are many choices of flavours if you can find them. I check sugar content as well but also buy sugar free soft drinks. You might even find some diabetic things too. Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year
Dennis, I’m writing to suggest you get your thyroid hormones checked if you haven’t done so already. I was experiencing symptoms similar to those you describe, and it turned out I have hypothyroidism. I’ve been taking levothyroxine, a synthetic thyroid hormone, and I’m gradually getting my energy back.
They want me to eat at least 60 carbs b to help with the diabetes which doesn't hurt the diabetes. When I had my heart attack I was 349 blood sugar. So I know where he's coming from. And mine is like a roller coaster. And they got me on pills and a evening shot. So if he's down in the 90's he's doing great I'm lucky to get down in the 130's in the evenings and 160 to 200 in the mornings. Mine is caused by agent orange
Yes less rice white bread less oil fried foods. Mote veggies. Fish. Chicken skinless. Eat less. Do more drop some weight walk exercise every morning. Lots of water. We can watch his blogs 10 years from now
As a diabetic, nothing that has sugar, include fruits and veggies such as potatoes carrots etc. I have been watching you quite awhile and this is my first time commenting, I have seen what you fed him in the past which is not good for a person with his problems, no no chocolate covered Nuts icecream or cake, he hast to stay off for a long while, then maybe a tiny piece of cake or so

Coconut oil is not a healthy oil.
Poa h the egg in water. Very nice.
One slice of ham.
Sliced fresh bell pepper celery and cucumber occasionally carrot
Hi Guys! Get well Dennis, both of you are looking good! Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Dennis, you are still short of breath. You can check your O2, but even though you’re on antibiotics, it’s fine. The hospital may have felt you’re ok, but man, your breathing sounds labored. Oatmeal is a good breakfast and easy to make.
Oatmeal is recommended. Add cinnamon
Marissa you have to change his diet . For breakfast cut up bananas and fruit in a bowl and add yogurt. Ham is not good.

Dennis try u use mct oil… it’s a supplement. It helps curb the hungers. Just ad it to ur protein shake. It does really help the craving
Can you use avocado oil or olive oil to cook with? These are good for you.
Looking forward when Dennis can walk in the mornings outside with the camera again. Praying for you in Florida.
Marissa ... RELAX, atleast try to 👍🏽☺️

His diet caught up with him. Discipline is required. Intermitten fasting helped me and occasionally I go 3 days without food. It actually gives me more energy after day 2.
Hi guys and ming ming. Good to see Dennis walking around the house. Take care
Sugar free is misleading. It's not always sugar free. Always look at the nutrition info on the back.
Aspartame is deadly

You can buy can of beans, chickpeas to add to Dennis salads
Come on man, beans & chickpeas are full of sugar!
Your idea is to make Dennis sick again
Wow healthy breakfast Dennis, that breakfast + Shakey's Salad will be perfect!!!
When you look at nutrition info, you look at the total carbs and make sure there is not much added sugar.

Is it possible for Dennis to ask his Doctor to talk to a Dietician for recipes that are good for his health

FYI Sharing article Jan 18, 2024 - Studies show it's possible to reverse diabetes with proper diet / exercise
Glucerna Shakes are Great for Dennis if He's Diabetic! You can get them at Grocery stores! 1 a day! 🙌🇺🇸
Silk milk is loaded with chemicals, the ingredients should be almonds and water. The best almond milk so far that I have had is Elmhurst

Use some of the dried fruit in your oatmeal.
Let's pray
Oatmeal with berries is a good breakfast option. Not with banana though, it’s high in sugar.
