Thank you Larry! What's funny is that he just walked into my studio unannounced. So this was on the cuff, but he's my best bud... and loves being in these videos. So... we ran with it. BTW... thank you always for the kind words! Stay well and again... fast recovery on your upcoming surgery!

Great refresher Alex! I shoot a lot with the aperture setting but sometimes you just have to go manual mode! Always fun to see the little guy!

Oh man, I just saw your comment and had to watch the video to see what you were talking about. I'm a big softy when it comes to my son. There are a few videos that have him running into my studio and jumping in front of the camera. This is one of them. Man, he was so small! ha ha ha... awesome stuff. Thank you new friend for the kind words!

I never used the sunny 16 rule except to diagnose a faulty camera or lens. Now the Moony 11 rule is another story. Good job and the little man is growing up fast.

Oh dang bro... fast recovery for you!!! I just saw someone at the gym yesterday who had knee surgery on his left knee and he stated recovery was pretty quick. Now he just can't do any leg extensions for some time. But walking and even squats he can do in moderation and I want to say he had his surgery 7 days ago.

Theories are for books and articles. In a video, you should go out and show the effect of these settings in practice.

Right on Alex. This was one of your fun videos. I used that Sunny 16 rule way back in the old days using my dad's old Voightlander. It used 110 film and I remember, that on the box, they always showed that Sunny 16 rule basically. It showed f16 on the box under the sunshine picture. Then f11 was called "Hazy Bright" with the sun and a little cloud, f8 was call "Hazy" with part of the sun and a bigger cloud.... "Cloudy", "Overcast" and so on. Everyone knew that, because the were no light meters in the cameras (or very few). There was no looking and checking either, until a week or so later after they were developed. Every shot cost money, good or bad. Yes, those were the days.
Here's a page I found that you might find interesting:

Anyway Alex, thanks again, thanks for the nostalgic moments. Take care and we'll see you next time.
