Alien Earth Teaser Breakdown hints at Corporate Sabotage, in my opinion. It was short and sweet but I quite liked this taste of what's to come. Once we get a full trailer, and hopefully soon, I think we can gauge the production level and budget of the show as well as other important aspects. Enjoy my thoughts 👍

If you look, you will see two sets of creature legs at different times. The flying insectoid is rather large and seems to be fighting off a Facehugger. You can see the Facehugger at times crawling around the body, trying to find an opening. I think what we witness at the window is the hugger succeeding in subduing it's host.
This idea is a lot more preferable to me. It means they haven't changed the design and it will show some creative action scenes. I actually doubt that this bug could even be implanted with a parasite. It would need a larger host, surely.
It's hard to say.... there was some Neomorph Concepts that were Arachnid looking.... it could be a variant of Facehugger or Chest Burster? Time will tell
What if WY were experimenting with the pathogen but some bug flew into it and mutated?
@ENTERTAINtheDUDE when it hits the window it IS large. This is likely one the of "Bugs" the Marines spoke of in Aliens
@joealcorn4382 Its hard to be sure, the Plot may have changed as originally it was to be set late 2090's now its in 2120.
We have a confirmed the Ship has come from the Moon... we can assume LV-426 or LV-223
This Organism does look armoured more than a Facehugger, its hard to make out... but looking at the Plot as in what we know... this ship is carrying Specimens likely from LV-223 or LV-426.... so its likely something related to the Xenomorph or Pathogen.
In the other Short we get a shot of what looks like a NEW Alien Creature.
The Show takes place on Earth a lot and it seems like various forms of A.I are a Threat..... so i think the other threats will be Xeno/Black Goo related.
I think we could be in for Hybrids too
You think Ridley will finish his David prequels? I find David still most interesting character in years of the franchise.
@@ToddAndreasen I actually did a vid on that about 10 days ago. His 3rd film was to be named Alien Awakening and it will be going ahead in 2026 hopefully. I agree he was interesting but I wish Ridley would follow the theme of Prometheus instead of the odd direction Covenant took.

the best thing about Alien and Aliens is the mystery about the creature and its abilities and intelligence, sadly throughout more media and films more has been uncovered and has sometimes slowly diminished the Alien itself sometimes, but thats just how storytelling goes

The face huggers do make sound, screeches to be exact i rewatched them all start of January for nostalgia. Also to add, no matter what a face hugger binds it’s eggs with, it becomes a mix of xeno & said organism, look at all the forms of Xenos like the gorilla xeno hybrid…..resurecrion showed if Riley’s Xeno-bind has a mixture of the xenophage from Prometheus, the DNA of said character with xeno blood would create a more human like xenomorph but with human skin colour & features & what about the dog xenomorph in the 3rd movie.

I'd imagine we'll get some Xeno zoo creatures in Alien Earth as a result of Earth's wide array of species.
@ yeah I really hope the gorilla xeno shows up 😁 had one I’ve still got to this day has a face hugger style hand, the xenophage will be scary if it’s released on earth, hoping they don’t fuq it up like the new aliens movies
Great video! I think some new Xeno variants would be welcome and could take us into fresh territory. I love the warriors from Aliens and Big Chap from Alien, but the runner in Alien 3 has added so much to the lore. It’s time to see more “natural” variants and back off a bit from the black goo hybrids.

I wouldn't want it all CG, although it was a puppet back in Alien 3 but with some modern practical effects, it could look fantastic. I just hope they remember that what we don't see, sometimes scares us more ..

What a teaser, so many visuals and questions! Just sat down to enjoy a small glass of Jameson and perfect timing for a Dude video. Do you think this could be a bug such as the Marines discussed? I'm with you on corporate power struggle likely. Too convenient this disaster is happening as the ship approaches Earth. I feel the intrigue. I'm betting odds this will be a good show, otherwise the Jameson is kicking in. 😂
Oh, I always watch my own videos with a beverage also 👍😉 The question is, where have they been? If not the derelict to retrieve more specimens then maybe a world full of life perhaps. It might be that they released face huggers onto another planet or simply experimented with captured life forms to see what the face huggers would do. That makes more sense to me, at least.

A welcome addition to just whet our appetite once more for another Alien saga. That creature would not likely be a face huger, since there would have to have been an ovomorph present and that would mean live hosts nearby. Most likely a chest-burster of a sort we have not seen before, which errupted from the dead crew member briefly shown, or a hybrid thereof. If that vessel was an expeditionary mission, then they may have collected a few exotic life forms and samples and there could be a different Zenomorph class, or so my imagination wants to go and fetch. The creature seems much bigger and has more appendages and a morphology unlike a traditional face-hugger's. Who knows... we can only guess at this point. I'm eagerly anticipating this with optimism as my gut-feeling is leaning towards a better production and caliber than what we had been getting of late.

@@ENTERTAINtheDUDE You know what? After re-watching the entire sequence, it could be a young Xenomorph Queen. The dome is there, the crest almost visible in some shots, and what may appear to be wings are the ancillary appendages which she has on her back and sides?

I just hope this tags onto the end of covenant. With Romulus and the Audiobooks being wedged into the timeline so much previously, I want something to continue or complete the David story. Even if he isn’t in it.
@@mcal27 If the show is successful and mimics the typical life span of other TV, then hopefully it will go past Ridley's next Alien film as well. They may connect some narratives, perhaps.
Look up royal face huggers. They definitely look like they can fly or glide at least.

Yep, seems we have an insect and face hugger going at it. In terms of David's ship, I dunno. In the previous teaser, a voice did say that they found specimens on a far away moon. I believe David was travelling to an Earth-like planet. Just my thoughts, anyhow.
And there is a chestburster Easter egg that everyone missed. Look at the original teaser at 0:13. Chestburster flying left to right very fast.

Wings could be fine. I think? As long as they show us something interesting, with likeable characters.

Might not be flying or have wings. Might just be a specimen moving through a zero gravity ship - you've seen how mice move when in a zero g setting as opposed to full gravity?

My initial concern is this new series is set in a timeline that pre-dates Prometheus......not sure how that works.
@@nathanmulkey No no, I fell for that too. That information was either to mislead us or was just wrong. The show does now take place 2 years before Alien. 👍
I would love to have a “runner” type Alien back again, by far the most predatory and lethal iteration of the xeno in the film franchise.
Yeah, that thing (AKA the Dragon) was fast and precise.
After thinking about the timeline, and the first movie, I came up with an idea.
Ash was given orders to bring the specimen back from LV-426. So maybe WY Co. knew about the xenos already, and purposefully redirected the Nostromo so they would intercept the transmission. Additionally, Dallas said in both Alien and Alien: Isolation that his science officer was reassigned and he was provided with Ash as a "replacment". (who he had never worked with before)
Is it possible that Dallas's crew has left, Weyland Yutani Co. is about to learn about the xenomorphs, and some time throughout the show, WY Co. will redirect the Nostromo to intercept the transmission on LV-426?
@@lucasrozanski6404 it must overlap, surely. It may be as simple as the craft in the teaser visited the derelict right after the nostromo. That would explain the winged face hugger but you have listed ideas that absolutely gave the film some mystery over the years.
@@ENTERTAINtheDUDE That would make sense!! In Alien Isolation you play a flashback of a prisoner, who landed on LV-426 after the events of Alien. (The main character is Amanda Ripley, Ellen's daughter) It would make complete sense for the ship in the teaser to have been the prisoners ship.

2:23...in my humble opinion there's no need to "try and improve" or "put their own stamp on it " ..the face huggers and xeno's are perfect the way they are ..although i dont think this facehugger has wings i think its trying to impregnate domething that does have wings and its flying around trying to get away from it ....personally I'd love to see a story about an Alien Queen ..I mean was it just born the way the rest of the xeno's are? was it created ?...Great video video Dude👍

No ...maybe your right maybe they have given the face huggers wings (a mistake in my book) ... we can only wait and see ...as to the "Queen" I dont see one appearing anytime soon as you said Ridley Scott seems to have a problem with the Queen and as long as he's involved I don't see it happening.....cheers dude

@@wotingbudong I believe the difference between Hawley and Alvarez in writing is quite staggering. Just based on their projects, anyhow.
Definitely something flying at lower section of the screen just after 7m30secs, insect-like. Also when the ‘flyer’ hits the hull’s window, it reminds me of a wood louse/cockroach! I reckon it’ll be a wasp’ish facehugger. The tips of its legs/fingers are pointed, much more than I remember the original facehugger from Alien (still my fave, greatest haunted house in space ever made!).. looking forward to this; Noah Hawley did Legion too, a solid psychedelic Marvel mutants show as well as Fargo. This trailer makes me confident it’ll be good.. as long as the shows sandbox is big enough!
@@rebelgonebad I never watched Legion but maybe I should. You know, there was a lot of debris whizzing past the hallways but I tried to assume it was just that, otherwise, I'd be there all day speculating of chest bursters in zero G haha!
It’s hard to compete with Alien and Aliens. All of us expect amazing but amazing has been already done. Maybe they should look into dark horses comics to get some ideas.

Agree. Dark Horse had some great stories. But with the advent of the engineers and black goo they no longer work. Ridley Scott ruined the franchise when he went philosophical.
That's exactly what has been missing since Alien 4: Resurrection. Some originality & creativity by some established Sci-Fi authors & script writers who are keen on and well versed with the original ethos of Alien 1979 (StarBeast by Dan O'Banon et al) - including Giger's infamous dark interpretation of biomechanoid alien creatures and space vessels. None of the 'engineer' and human origins with the idiotic 'black goo' nonsense and Greek / Roman mythology religious mumbo jumbo. The wider Alien artistic content provided in the form of comics and short movies are full of smart ideas and story arcs that would provide years of entertainment if a good collaboration with cleaver directing & production can be achieved?

The whole engineer black goo creationist religious mumbo jumbo ruined it.
there is a Dark Horse comic where the Aliens take over Earth. They might already be taking elements from that.
I just want the AvP: Three World War.... seeing some Bad Blood Predators stroll off their ships with Xeno attack dogs on leashes while honourable Predators and space marines watch on the frontline is an image I'll never forget. Predator franchise also needs to do Machiko Noguchi's storyline where she becomes a member of their clan.

I think this isn’t a xenomorph or a facehugger. I think this ship is returning from an expedition to gather alien specimens when something has gone wrong. The creature here is likely to be one of those other specimens maybe the known ‘bug’ from Hudson’s classic line. But amongst the specimens is an unknown species, possibly in egg form. The inclusion of a shot that looked to me like a horse’s eye in the previous trailer definitely indicates that there is going to be some kind of genetic experimentation going on by either Weyland Yutani or this new Corporation and this new specimen is going to be a valuable asset that they end up fighting over. Especially when they discover the xeno’s amazing ability to use and manipulate their hosts dna to quickly adapt to whatever environment they infest. I hope this series is going to be great, I don’t think I can take another crap instalment of this franchise 😢
@@tomstroud1660 That's possible. Many people are suggesting it's a face hugger grappling with said bug, but hard to tell right now. I spoke about the previous trailer in another vid and basically shared your view on the company experimenting and so forth. It looked like a cow to me but whether there is a Xeno outbreak or secretive testing, we don't know yet. If you zoom into the cows eye, you can see ceiling grid lighting, like from a dark facility 🤔🤔🤔
Because of the timeline it would break cannon and cheapen the mystery of the first film if there’s an outbreak as surely an outbreak on earth before the events of alien would make the creature a well known species. I hope this new story ties up well with the films or fans won’t respect it and I fear it will fail.
@ I know it's filmed in Thailand. Therefore, if they do go the outbreak route, well, they better present this as something that was covered up and kept quite for that very reason. It's hard to imagine how but otherwise, having alien on Earth without the threat of them getting loose, feels a bit of an empty threat. God, I just hope it does well and as you say, doesn't mess with canon.
I am not sure it's flying.... in other shots we cant see any wings... this Organism seems like its free falling in 0 G as the Ship spirals out of control to the Earth.
The creature itself has to be either a new variant of Facehugger (more armoured) or a new type of Chest Burster.... i say this as in some Shots it looks like one of Gigers un-used Facehugger Concepts and in others it looks a bit like some of Davids Experiments and particularly one that was used in the X-ray Chest Burster posters for Alien Covenant.
As far as flying... if those are wings they would NOT allow the Creature to Fly... too small... but this is Sci-Fi so who knows... if what we saw are like Wings then maybe they are like FINS and so a Aquatic Facehugger?
Shots from the TV series does indicate there will be a Water Based Cave that plays a Role in the TV series
Absolutely, but either way, most teasers with these types of high-expectation franchise sequels or continuations are really designed to confuse the hell out of us and keep us guessing. Whether this is simply a bug fighting off a hugger or something else, as you say, hopefully, it's just executed correctly and works as a story and thriller/horror. I really love sinking into a series, and I never thought we'd get an Alien one. I'm gonna be nervous nearer the time, as silly as that sounds, haha!
I'm very apprehensions about this one. I'm not a fan of the Beast and such on Earth even though Alien Earth Wars were great comics. I'm hoping though. I was very happy with Romulus especially since Prometheus is my second favourite in this series behind the original Alien.
I'm very excited to see this series though.
@@Hum0ng0us I can imagine the ai and corporate theme from Prometheus will be quite palpable in the show. At the same time, I feel from this teaser, it may get fairly dark with its horror side. 🤞

I hope they haven't given the facehugger wings. I do hate it when they change the design/characteristics for the worse. Why they gave the alien the ability to defy gravity and run along the ceiling in Alien3 was ridiculous. So I'm concerned this facehugger in the teaser is running along the ceiling. This is Disney after all. I'm just hoping it's the ship tumbling in space which is why its running all over the place. The ship interiors look really good and familiar.
All we can do is cross our fingers, toes and pray it will be really good.

So, another M Class Star Freighter makes an ore / oil run on a compatible life supporting world with giant insects.
Little do they know, some of the indigenous insect life stows aboard the freighter. Flying cockroaches the size of poodles, that kinda jazz.
While returning home, the freighter intercepts the LV 426 distress call and investigates.
Bang! Bad eggs.
Drag the infected crew member back.
Hmmm. Lets just freeze him and head home.
In cryo sleep the creature erupts, and compromises the crew. One among thrm awakens in time and sets the ship on collision course with the Earth.
Prior to the ship crash, an ovumorph egg releases a facehugger that gets with the giant insect.
Bang! New kinda Xenomorph to plague the Earth.
A group of Earth bound humans from all cultures and walks of life put their differences aside and focus on containing these intruders.
Hypothetically they do.
The Company tells Ash to ignore Parker snd dont freeze the next fellow that gets facehugged...

Winged facehugger? Eh... It'd make more sense for the xenomorph, if they would just explore hybrids through the different hosts the facehugger infected, instead of trying to reinvent the wheel every installment. But ya, I don't care as long as the writing is good.

I didn’t see wings. Its sacks in zero-g was what I first thought. Could move about with its tail like a Belter in zero-g.

@@shanebowser The bug hunts were wisely referenced in Aliens and you would have to assume that they had found many worlds with some form of life, right?

I'm not hopeful this will be any good. Alien 4 wrecked what was a great story. Even Alien 3 wasn't bad. But the whole genetic modification we can clone someone who had been been infected to get our hands on an alien destroyed the franchise. After what War of the Rings did to Tolkien I don't have much faith in what writers can do to Dan O'Bannon and Ronald Shusett's (the writers of the original Alien) work except screw it up. Ridley Scott directed Alien and did an exceptional job but he ruined the franchise with Prometheus and Covenant. Romulus would have been a better story without the black goo aspect. In fact you dont even need face huggers or xenomorphs any more. All you need is as small insect like creature to spread a pathogen that destroys life as was done in Covenant. In fact you dont even need that. All you need to do is drive by a planet and throw some black goo out the window and your work is done. But nnnooooo...... Someone went all judeo christian creationist god beings creating life because they can and got mad with their creation destroyed the storyline. What happened to "Evil Company Hears Strange Signal Sends Undercover Agent To Bring Back Whatever It Is Who Gives A Damn About The Lives Of The Crew" story? Bring that line back and dump the whole engineers garbage.
Yeah, I think sometimes when you inject too much science into science fiction, things can become way too clinical and can have a very sterile feeling to it all. I will always love the mystery of those early films, particularly the first. The less we know, the scarier the experience can be. Maybe Noah Hawley has taken this into consideration for the show.
Thing is, they dont need to fly! They are rapid and nimble and can jump. People on foot struggle to avoid them. Having them fly while inside the confines of the tunnels is just dumb asf. They will get you easily anyway.
True. Part of their fear factor is when they spring at you. All you need is a big net and your safe here 🤣
@ENTERTAINtheDUDE if they get to Earth and we have flocks of flying facehuggers in the open air it could work I guess, but the idea of them flying through corridors in the ships/facilities seems unnecessary and tbh, a bit goofy? Like you say, the spring out of nowhere element is part of the fear factor with them.

Also in the clip it looks like it's out of control and bumping into allsorts, to the point where I thought it was a hull breach or summin wrong with the ship. But it wasn't.

@@ENTERTAINtheDUDE hmm 🤔 so a bit of xeno on xeno action with humans caught in-between is an idea I spose. But we saw that in Prometheus and it wasn't explained at all. I don't really like all these weird variants, goo, protomorphs, hybrids, contaminants etc. I think it should've just had xenos, facehuggers and engineers and a back story on the derelict/jockey craft on LV4-26.
It's become vague and unexplained and as a result has lost its threat a bit.
But that's just me. I think all fans of this franchise have an idea where it should've gone after 1986 Aliens.
Listen, I’m a fan of science fiction. I write science fiction I had contributed to science fiction projects if nobody tunes into this fan or no fan to this series and it fails, we are all going to fail as human beings Period!!

Reports say no so far, but they also stated at ages ago that the show would take place at the time of Ripley's birth. I still haven't forgiven them for making me regurgitate this is many of my earlier vids 😜 I also wonder if a clean slate and fresh canvas might be better for a change, instead of tying everything together all the time.

Considering it's a tv-show the bar is lowered for what to expect. If it doesn't include the usual suspects, stuid characters and absurd plot, it could be a surprise. Probably it will be worth a watch, but nothing more.
@@Lokazana The only benefit a series over a film is the long format approach to storytelling. This, of course, is only a benefit if the show is akin to The Sopranos in seducing Alien fans with its fantastic writing. Otherwise, the episodic format always has that worrying chance of keeping Alien in the mediocre once more.
After what War of the Rings did to Tolkien I don't have much faith in what writers can do to Dan O'Bannon and Ronald Shusett's (the writers of the original Alien) work except screw it up. Ridley Scott directed Alien and did an exceptional job but he ruined the franchise with Prometheus and Covenant. Romulus would have been a better story without the black goo aspect.

Looks like it may be a black-goo influenced creature which leads me to think we won’t see an actual xenomorph until the scientists on earth create one which leads to their interest of sending the Nostromo to LV-426
Hmm, I'm hoping for a different path. If it's all about the goo then it sadly takes some of the terror away from it.
I really don't understand how this show is going to incorporate the xenomorph on Earth or whatever it's doing when this all takes place before Prometheus and everything else...

Nostalgia is overrated and unwelcomed in this series. The fan service in Romulus was annoying and distracting. I hope someone has some original ideas, otherwise why bother?

@@ENTERTAINtheDUDE at first I thought that since it's likely the ship is within Earth's gravity (and the ship is burning up as it enters Earth's atmosphere - though it does look too far away in the trailer), there would be some "vertical" (not that there's relative position in space) pull on the creature, plus the extremely traumatic structural strain on the ship, that it could be the creature is tumbling or "pinballing" down through the ship, but yeah - watching it closely again, it does seem to take turns midair, and once the teaser reveals the creature from outside of its POV it actually appears not to be a facehugger, and more of a xeno-wasp, it probably is flying, you're right. Pairing this with the cow eye trailer, it seems like this ship has been testing the hybridisation nature of the xeno DNA on all of earth's weird and wonderful predators.
Not that a cow is a predator, but I woulnd't be surprised if we saw xeno sharks and the likes. Xeno T-rex anyone?
@timsmith7113 interesting 🤔 Listen, I know the same as you so far, which is not much, haha! But you might be right about some experimentation along the way. Maybe this vessel houses scientists as well as other company employees and they've done stuff along the way. I just hope the long story format of the show delivers a compelling narrative that locks us in either. Fingers crossed my friend 🤞
@@ENTERTAINtheDUDE totally agree. I don't want a monster of the week shallow effort. The gorgeous wide landscape shots, as well as the aquatic soldiers hint at world and lore building. In my decades of following the franchise, I'm less interested in the creature (but will always love to see its design on screen) and more about the history behind the creature, and how it came to be. While I don't agree with "the beast is cooked" - I sort of see where Ridley was going, it's the story and the universe that has been built that is the star of the show to me - not to forget the aesthetic of the franchise and the nostalgia strings it pulls. I'm nervous but optimistic.
Perhaps the Alien/Earth scenario is best left untouched. We've all imagined it. Anything this series brings will undoubtedly be a disappointment because it won't match our expectations.

This is why I think the show needs to have a strong foundation with great writing and deed characters. Otherwise, it won't survive alone if it relies too much on the world building in an effort to match our expectations.

So bored with this franchise especially now disney have their grubby mitts all over it
They own so much now, it's crazy. One of the reasons I love independent film makers is the freedom they have but sadly that means they aren't allowed anywhere near our beloved franchises.
Have serious doubts about this television series for the following reasons:
1. The CGI looks like it escaped from the 1990s.
2. Chick leading the combat troops, here we go another 70k soaking wet female lead who can take down alien drones like they are paper mache cutouts ala Romulus
3. The Directors of the show claimed first time xenos on earth, uhmm are we slightly forgetting AvP and AvP:Requiem and the extended universe
4. Changes to the alien life cycle, there goes the lore, we welcome the modern audience to clap and bark like seals over this
5 . If this is set two years prior to the original movie ... there goes the lore

@@MovieHeretic I can understand the criticism but let's just wait for a full length trailer to get a proper feel of the show. I have to assume many things will be different to your normal Alien film but I think a change is needed, otherwise we just get the same sterile formula.

The original creature isn’t enough. Romulus showed us that. It’s done. But to change it means it’s not an alien film. To revisit a similar story to the original two is utterly pointless, and picking over every reference and filling every story gap a la Star Wars is not what we need.
@@polyestermammoth740 well, I think Romulus lacked in writing skill and returning to the idea of the first two is fine if you make it fresh. For me, the premise is less important, rather, it's the way you tell a story. At least Alien Earth will have numerous hours to explore something different.

@ Good point. I think because I have been a fan since the first Alien, i want every Alien film to be as good as the first two films. I know that’s a reach but I feel every film since then has gotten lazier and lazier. I liked what you said about having well written, engaging characters. Let’s hope we aren’t disappointed because this is a huge project to take on.

I'm not oblivious to the harm done by greedy studios and the hiring of shitty writers. It's just that sometimes, I get really surprised. The Andor series in the Star Wars universe is the perfect example.
