I was at this show and remember this number distinctly. The entire house was breathing in sync with Trey who was doing that crouched reptile dance...a memory that I'll never forget.
I'd sacrifice a thousand virgin midgets to get this Phish back today. IMHO, there is, to this day, no live band in history that can touch what they were capable of back then.
I was at the last two nites of the Island Tour, and this was definitely my personal highlight. I love "Cavern," especially the slower, older (early 90's) style of it, and this was my first "Cavern." Coming out of that funk jam, when I realized what they were playing I started jumping up and down and didn't stop till the end of the song. Still my favorite version I've seen them play live - and a great way to cap off the show!
Thank god for my alarm clock.. i woke up to BCN sayin' that tix went on sale that day, so I went to work late, cuz' I had my priorities str8... Well worth it.

The Cavern from Merriwether Post in the summer of 1998 is my favorite version,but this is DEF second! I was lucky enough to be at both!
This was one of my favorite Phish moments ever. This show smoked from start to funky finish. I stayed for the funk!
