Now with the sudden news of PMD 4 on the horizon, I can continue to live my favorite passion, I can look to that bright future, and I can experience the grand tale yet again.
I cried so hard when Dusknoir asked if he shined in life. And I'll never forget when Grovyle answered back "Yes. Etrordinarily.", it was sad to see them slowly dissapear like that. It was a very emotional scene ;_;

I never had the love an appreciation for these titles until recently. I played through PMD1 and 2 last year for the first time in ages, and I have never felt so much because of a game in my life. Dare I say I love the Mystery Dungeon games more than the main titles.
I have returned to say that I may have found a game that rivals PMD2. It's a little known game called OneShot. I recommend you play it without looking up anything before. Just go and do.
Ever since I played PMD2 back in 2009, and especially Sky with the Special Episodes, I've had the notion that they are the best Pokemon games ever, and in my honest opinion, the best games ever made in terms of storyline. I was a kid back then. Now I'm an adult that comes back to these tracks and looks back in to their childhood in tears of nostalgia and joy.
I have experienced that feeling, and knowing how deep, powerful and beautiful it is, for a game to make you cry, I am very happy for you, for knowing you had the joy to experience it as well.

But from games...it's not just you feeling for the characters, it's you feeling for _you_ because _you_ refused defeat, kept at it, and won. Games help us connect to the struggles of their protagonists. By guiding them, we walk alongside them as characters. We are both the ones on the page and turning it. We were right there by Grovyle through the pain, the terror, the betrayal, the despair, the hope, the resolve, the victory. Our tears are different. Our tears come the connected hearts of player and character.

Jesus Christ... I can't even beat the first boss, and yet I feel so nostalgic. Like something within me is remembering the old days, despite it being so short. I really want more games like this. A heart-capturing soundtrack, beautifully written story... Why can't there be more?
Hey, I'm so late to the PMD train, but I finally got to finishing it. This game has been with me for a year or something now, but I haven't gotten to finishing it, and now I've done it, I really can't get over it. (Completion was over a few months ago) Truthfully, this is the best game I could ever ask for (or at least this goes somewhere in my top 5). It's magnificent, a piece of art. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon has restored my faith in life (over-exaggeration). This game's soundtrack is *chef's kiss* the best concoction of symphonies anyone could ever make. This game's storyline? It's as good as the soundrack. Imagine being me and not knowing anything, my view of the characters has switched a whole 180º as the story progresses. Grovyle is definitely out there being the character with the best character development (or....at least it's probably because i like him so much, he's just that kind of person.) The gameplay, however, may feel unfair, but truthfully, this was all worth it, considering the special episode you unlock tells a lot about what actually happened in the future. Heart touched. Mind boggled. Ear happy. 10/10. Played this game twice at this point, that's how good it is. And if you're here because a friend sent you a link and you're wondering what PMD is? Play it, you won't regret it, it's a masterpiece.

I feel like some moments where the music stops and comes back should've had more of an accent but it was great overall. After the main melody where it has the 3 notes(the dun dun dun's) with that bell I think a soft piano or just a softer instrument in general would fit this song s little better.

Amazing arrangement! Explorers may be my personal least favorite in the series, but I picked up Sky JUST for Special Episode 5 and I did not regret it. An amazing journey of redemption, hope and courage that ends with this lovely melody. And now you made it even more amazing, Ys Book I and II quality music if I say so myself. Keep up the good work!
